Bryce Young is a problem — what would you do if you were Dan Morgan?
MHS831 replied to OldhamA's topic in Carolina Panthers
If I were Dan Morgan, I would target Lbs, a stud TE, and QB. If you question whether or not your QB is the guy in year 3, you need to start looking. He will have his chance, but start looking. Oddly, we could even be down a WR now--our most loaded position 5 weeks ago--Coker out, XL still eating road kill, and AT gone--suddenly, the cupboard is bare. In my view, we celebrated when Bryce had a streak where he was normal--average. I would also look at coaching. Evero? XL not blocking or dragging his toe? etc. These are disturbing signs. Evero's system is flawed, but they stay with it. -
There is over 10+ threads to bitch about the offense in. Please keep discussion in this thread on the defense.

Yea, 55%+ iirc I thought we would see more cover 4 and 6 looks like in his first season, but it was a lot of soft cover 3 again

The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old
mrBdawg replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
The whole “field not being stretched” thing might’ve worked for rookie year Bryce but it doesn’t anymore lmao He takes several go ball attempts every game. Literally threw like 6 deep balls this past game. Do you think other teams just chuck the ball deep all game? they don’t. -

Sh*t I would too tbh That's only cause I REALLY wanted us to draft Shadeur. -
wtf and where is a tinderbox?

We know the defense is bad, the offense is supposed to help them. Can't have a bunch of 3 and outs and turnovers and expect our defense to hold

Why is everyone focused on BY while the real problem is ignored
onmyown replied to cranky's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep, and there is just no fixing that, and not really anything to discuss about it. I think most know this, a few are under this delusion he isn’t at fault. It is what it is, and will be until he is gone. At some point you go through so many coaches, players, and drafts and there is one constant. -
GB's defense looks GOOD. Everybody was ready to just assume the Lions were going to have a down year but I think GB's D might just be that good.
-
Does Washington realize that the TE is eligible to catch passes? Because they ain't covered one all night.
-
Some reason Washington just refuses to cover Tucker Kraft or their other TEs in general
-
Parsons just immediately beats a double team..yeesh.

Cheeks is very generous.

First: a big thanks for taking the time to do this. Second: "Panthers are in nickel with Scourton + Johnson as the EDGEs. Bunch to the right and who wants to guess the play call by Evero? If you guess cover 3, you win! " I think that pretty much sums up Evero's play calling. He's just too predictable and offenses are exploiting it.

1. There was already a thread here about that hours ago and there are currently two threads on that going in the Tinderbox. 2. Do you really think you were the first one to post about it this late? 3. Get over it and move on.

Considering there was a thread about it 12 hours ago that was moved to the tinderbox you're a little behind in your posting. -
Green Bay doing what they did last week and being conservative in the end game.

saw somewhere that evero ran cover 3 ~50% of the game -
Average age of their roster is 25.23. Average age of the Panthers roster is 26.32. We are absolutely cheeks at talent evaluation and development.
-
Meanwhile, the only player over the age of 30 on GB's roster is the kicker.

I miss the days of a disciplined, defensive minded head coach. -
The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old
raleigh-panther replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
He needs to win when it matters, not when it doesn’t. The Panthers were out of the playoffs I doubt seriously that those teams came into Charlotte fearing the Panthers and certainly not fearing Young and that is a problem. the playbook is cut down exponentially for him…either because of arm strength or ability. Opposing defenses have zero to fear from him zero This past weekend mattered. 3 turnovers should’ve been 4 it was incredibly important for him to perform well he didn’t and let’s not kid ourselves that the Jags are world beaters The more expectation pressures the worse he is. he is 1 and 15 on the road how many games has he been the reason they won ? How many the reason they lost ? Has he ever elevated his team ? look at other teams in the league vs young. Everything is painful and laborious. ..and that’s what happens when the field is not stretched. The offense under Young had has absolutely no flow or rhythm at some point, a pro team has to fish or cut bait like the cards did with Rosen, or other teams that have moved on. It is time….even if he manages to win 3 or 4 games, it is over his ceiling is his floor I’m sorry for fans, for him but he isn’t even an avg nfl qb and that’s not good enough
