Especially, if, hypothetically, you had a much higher grade on one position vs another even if you had more talent on the roster for the position of the higher graded player. If Brooks had a much higher grade than other players on the board, it makes sense why you would take him over a center at that time. If he doesn't get reinjured we don't sign Rico or draft Travis and maybe instead sign a FA center. In hindsight, picking a center would have been the better move but you don't get do overs in the draft.

I hate this argument because it just casually glosses over the fact that many people here on the huddle argued Cam would struggle with the playbook and wouldn't even do much his rookie year because he was regarded as a project. Whereas Bryce Young was afforded every benefit of the doubt before and immediately following the draft. Comparisons to hall of fame athletes across different sports etc. And the flip side of this is we have no idea just how good any of these receivers could be because we have never seen them with another QB who could raise anyone's ceiling. Everything has to go perfect across the board for us to even move the ball more often than not.

Yeah right. The last receiver with the Chiefs to go for over 1000 yrds was Tyreek Hill who went only went for 1239 yrds and that was back in 2021. Heck, if TMac would have had Hills catch % (69.8%) instead of his 57%, he would have been close to that this year. And Coker having 1200 yrds only playing 8 games would be pretty amazing but whatever.
