  1. Past hour
  2. We have taken two TEs in three seasons I think, and Sanders may not pan out or it may have been a sophomore slump, but we took a guy last year that was coming on. I am not in favor of TE in round one and really don’t consider it a high priority in any round.
  3. Trevon Moehrig, Turk Wharton, Bobby Brown, Jaelen Phillips, Devin Lloyd, Nic Scourton Giving him 6 starters in 2 offseasons that cost boat loads of money or a 2nd round pick... Not exactly handing the man scraps. The point of the draft is to make the team better. You want to make this about Bryce. It isn't. It's about improving the team. And if anyone can look at our offense and go "we're good", they are lying to themselves. You give quarterbacks weapons. We SCREAMED for YEARS to give Cam some help. But now because we are trying to do it for Bryce, you all are saying we are coddling him because of his "deficiencies". It's a double-standard because you don't like the guy, clearly. But even if he does fail, guess what? The next guy has help too. Win-win.
  4. we have 2 solid/above average (however you want to phrase that) wr's, which is more than half the league at least. We dont need to be blowing more first round capital just to placate Bryce and his limitations. We have one absolute stud (probably top 10 wr) in tmac and we have a high floor guy with insane potential if he can stay healthy. Yeah man we are in better shape than the bulk of the teams in the league. If you need to add some speed or whatever, sure draft in the mid rounds or wait until tc cuts. Its monumentally stupid to spend 3 straight firsts on a wr if thats the route they go. ITs just more and more excuses for Bryce, thats where we are at now. "How can bryce succeed without a big possession type wr (drafts 2 for him), how is bryce supposed to exceed without a speed guy......." Its fuging never ending. Give EE some goddamn help on defense for once
  5. Tight ends in the first round just have so much risk. Even guys that look like guarantees at the position, fail. OJ Howard is a big one that comes to mind (and I REALLY liked him and thought he was going to be a stud in the NFL). I know that every player/position can be a gamble, but when you look at Kyle Pitts (he's come a long way, but he has clearly underperformed), TJ Hockenson, Hayden Hurst, Noah Fant, Eric Ebron, etc., NONE of these guys changed the dynamic of their team for the better. Zero. In fact, most of them end up being traded before their rookie deal is up. This draft has some good tight ends. I wouldn't spend a 1st on one.
  6. Not true. I mean, come on dude. You went to "above average" to "solid." The teams that I mentioned have at least three solid options. Let's not waste time going through the motions. But, maybe someone will see it as fun. Njigba, Shaheed, Kupp (maybe even Barner and/or Arroyo). I didn't even lost everyone. The Jags, Minny, Detroit. I could probably go on. Our WR corps is just not up to snuff. Just admit it.
  7. I wouldn't cry over the pick, could work out well. I just see a crowded TE room that is already underutilized and some glaring needs elsewhere. But hey, what do I know? I wonder if the picks had been in reversed order and Jeremiah had picked (he has a North Carolina/App State background) would his better knowledge of Carolina have made a difference? Schrager has a great football mind, but we're such a minor league team to him I'm not sure if he knows or cares about our nuances.
  8. Today
  9. Green Bay was a team I was thinking. The others just have 2 solid options. And we are talking about teams with 3 solid above average options
  10. Panthers at about 41 minutes---breezed over it rather quickly, tbh. (about 45 seconds). I don't like the pick.
  11. The Spurs have the best record since the year started at 36-10 The Hornets right behind them at 32-14. That's not one lucky streak.
  12. Knox is expected to follow Martin to UNC.
  13. The Hornets have a few good wins. So did the Panthers. To say the Hornets have been dominant is nonsense. Our 9 game win streak is matched by Toronto, who sucks, San Antonio, who's done it twice to prove consistency, and behind Detroit (13) and OKC (16) who lead their conferences. One lucky streak doesn't equate to dominance, and dominance doesn't get you 9th in the conference.
  14. Right. The hornets have been dominant at times; even being a top 4 team in the NBA during the 2nd half of the season. The panthers didn’t do the same in football
  15. Yea? Started slow, won a few games in a row, folded late in the season to back into the playoffs, and will be one and done in the playoffs. Did I miss something?
  16. You are such a clown, the Panthers and Hornets seasons this year could not have been more fuging different
  17. Quite the fuging revelation lol. Now if we can win the last 2 there is an ok chance we can get seed 7 or 8 (4 chances for a team to beat Philly or Orlando once), and even if not we host the Heat then likely get the 76ers with no Embiid — a scenario I’d absolutely bet on us making the playoffs.
  18. Chicago outshot the Canes 25 to 23. Freddie held down the fort with a .920 SV%. Canes absolutely smoked the Blackhawks goalie with 7 goals.
  19. I’m kinda not opposed to it, only because the defense, even given evero’s problem in situational play calling, has been able to perform over expectations. but on the flip side, the offense has had the most investments but has fail to scrape top 15. We’re closer to a top 10 defensive team than a top 10 offense. Especially in our division, I just feel a top defense will get us closer to consistent contention. We can’t pay Bryce and pay all the offensive pieces needed for him to perform at his assume cap hit once he’s eating up a 3rd of the cap.
  20. My son sent me a picture of his cat's shedding
