Surprise! Wait… Surprise Again! Kon Looks Really Good!
WUnderhill replied to TylerDurden's topic in Charlotte Hornets
I wonder if that trade went through if we would have still drafted Kon. May have been a blessing in disguise. I wouldn’t give much for Knecht at this point, maybe Mcneeley and a 2nd round pick or something. -

REPORT: Cade Mays will hit the free-agent market
Khyber53 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think most folks undervalue Centers. Teams that win championships, though, seem to put high draft picks there and then hold onto those guys for a decade. The problem is that there are only one or two pro-level centers in each draft. If there's a guy who is big enough, strong enough and smart enough, he sticks out and chances are if you don't jump he'll be gone before the next round comes back around to you. And poaching one from another team via free agency is never cheap and you're often grabbing damaged goods unless that team has found itself in cap hell. Sadly, I'm not seeing a guy in the draft right now that rings all the bells, but it's early still. James Brockermeyer might be that guy, though, and I hope we're giving him a solid look. He's out of Miami, so big league program, and can't beat the pedigree as his dad, Blake, was a first round draft pick for us in 1995 as a tackle. -
If he was under an nil contract then yes I would have been mad.
-
Dude is what, 20 years olds. The adults in the room should be held accountable not the kids. He is getting an extra 2 million dollars plus they are paying his sister and I believe he is getting a deal with adidas too. I don't blame the player one bit for taking the most money he can get. The schools should be held to a higher standard than a child.

Paul Hornung bet on games as a player and still got in but Ricky Williams is shadowbanned for life over weed. Michael Irvin got in with a laundry list of misconduct. You've got guys in Canton with mediocre stats. Not going to cry for Belichick but it's been a farce.

Honestly it's been awhile since I've seen the Hornets play this consistently good. Get some help defensively and we just might be building something here. -
Not a Duke fan, so I hope he leaves. That being said, I am glad Duke is suing him. If you sign a contract, both sides should have to honor it. And there should be penalties if said contract is not honored. And I don't really blame Miami that much. This is mostly on Mensah.
-
Mensah was not under any NIL contract at Tulane. There was no stealing, he entered the transfer portal free and clear of any contract. Not even comparable to what Miami is doing

Are you a bot? -
Him running a show in Chappell hill doesn't help.. lolz..
-
So the answer is no. You weren't sad when Duke tampered with Mensah during the season when he was at Tulane.

Rozeboom and Chanel: Our ILB free agent wish list?
Panthero replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
I like how OP is being reasonable on the free agents. Not just reaching for the absolute cream of the crop guys. -
It was Lawrence Taylor the decade before. Not that BB doesn’t know his stuff. Gotta have payers.
-
He didn't have a contract in place. Don't blame the players but if they sign a 2 year nil deal other schools should be punished for trying to get them to break it especially last minute like Miami did. It was fuging dirty and so was what ole miss did to Clemson

I put no stock in what guys like this say. -
There is no basketball scores reflected in stats. The highest scoring was 2020 when theee were like to no fans in attendance. What basketball scores are you referring to? The scoring falls between 21 and 23 per team for like the past 30 years. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/NFL/scoring.htm

There are about two centers hitting FA that would be good, and the guy with the Ravens is by far the better of the two. Linderbaum and McGovern for the Bills. I wonder if their generosity with the guards and Moton is gonna hold us back on filling up the OL. -
The Colts FO have always been a bunch of bitch-made complainers. The basketball score football we got for a few years before two high safety coverage started shutting down the deep passing game originated with Dungy and Irsay whining to the competition committee about the Patriots manhandling Harrison and Wayne.

He didn't make it for the same reason Luke didn't and the same reason Smitty never will unless they change the procedure again. This new rule of needing to get 40 of 50 votes in the final round of voting is just sooooooooooooo dumb At that point it's already down to people who should be in the HOF and all it takes is a handful of split votes to keep more than worthy players out of the HOF in any given year. So unless there is collusion to among the voters to make sure only 9 or less people are not voting for certain players, we're going to keep seeing this happen every year, and we'll see more than worthy players never end up getting in at all. All it takes is for 20 of the 50 voters to split their vote and it keeps both players out that year. And when that final vote is by voting for 5 guys out of 7, it's going to happen every year unless they start colluding to make sure certain guys get in when they should.
