  1. Past hour
  2. I agree. They are not winning QBs. I'm not talking about winning games. I'm talking about having an NFL level player at QB so the last 10 games aren't a complete waste for the rest of the players. Dalton into Hooker when Dalton inevitably ends up on IR is throwing away the last 10 games.
  3. It's not realistic. If that were the case, a guy like Watson would already be on the street. You can't torpedo the future of the team for "fug this guy specifically." It's very bad business.
  4. I don't think we will agree on this situation with those players specifically. I don't view them as winning QB's and in fact they mostly lose.
  5. They honestly might be willing to do that to dump him. He's burned the bridge there from what it seems.
  6. The key word is good. No team is going to give up a good qb. If they give one up you can bet they aren't good. We have enough not good already on the team.
  7. Tua's contract situation immediately makes all Tua discussions a nonstarter. For us AND them. You would be asking them to incur an almost $100 mil dead cap charge.
  8. Alot of that improvising is because Bryce won't take what's there in the 1.5 seconds. I think the talent we have at WR are good enough whereas Dalton can make those first reads, now if the Oline pass protection simply falls apart that could be a problem as Dalton is a statue back there. But we'll see this Sunday if the passing attack looks different than what we've been seeing so far this season.
  9. So hows this post working out for you lol. Makes you wonder if your just as wrong about Bryce as well.
  10. We're going in circles. Come on man.
  11. I mean....adding Winston/Howell is utterly discarding the remaining season. They are great tank commanders but not much else.
  12. Almost none of Daltons passes were on target.
  13. Different mindset entirely. Gunslingers have the penultimate faith that they can make every throw, no matter the window nor the situation. Bryce is definitively not that guy. If you increased his throws to 40-50/game(which he has had those games) its far more likely to just result in a bunch of 5-10 yard throws. Not testing coverages deep where you can get into more trouble.
  14. If the offense were being held back as you say then it's up to the coach to change it. I think you're seeing the offense. Its just not the kind of offense that some of you thought it would be. Maybe it's because the qb limits it maybe not. Blaming the qb all the time is lazy analysis. DC designed this offense so it's up to him to get the right guy to run it. And no I'm not blaming it on Tepper anymore. He might have insisted at the beginning of last season but that only lasted 2 games. Now it's solely on Canales.
  15. It's also during the season so anyone in the discussion of being substantially better than Young is not gonna be on the table without a serious asking price, most likely. If the trade deadline lasted until the end of the season, we might at least get to take advantage of some active sellers. That COULD happen by Nov. 4th still.
  16. Jets defense plays hard for Wilks, as some of the Panthers players know. Jets offense is an absolute disaster but their defense is not the problem. Offense needs to focus on letting the run game drive the offense. Dalton might do well in this situation because McMillian reminds me of AJ Green except he's 38 and probably can't play more than 1-2 games before we see some decline
  17. Murray. Jones, Tua etc... are perfect examples as to why you don't pay a guy like Bryce. These guys were mediocre and those teams took a losing bet that average would turn into greatness given more time and resources. Bryce will get the option, I'm convinced of it. Not because he's earned it with great play, but because the team has too much invested in him to cut bait any earlier than absolutely necessary. Short of him coming back from injury and going winless the rest of the season, Bryce will be our starting QB next fall. I don't like it either, but again, the organization is too invested to go in another direction unless the team goes into death spiral, which I don't foresee that happening.
  18. I don't think it's a real stretch what I am saying. We can certainly, and rightfully so, question the actual evaluation abilities of those in the organization but they are literally around these guys in drills, practices, etc, etc for months and months every year. It shouldn't be a surprise that they have a significantly higher idea of said players abilities just because of that level of access.
  19. A good QB and we would be way past mediocre. Imagine Cam with this offensive line and all the weapons Bryce has
  20. Tua is not a bailout plan for Bryce, they still need to address that in the offseason. But short term with Bryce injured and Dalton being 38 and probably not able to play more than 2-3 games? Tua is a realistic option.
  21. No telling with Tepper. He's had a very quick trigger finger at times and shown frustrating levels of patience at other times.
  22. The Bills are statistically worse in every way on offense to the Cowboys, and about equal to the Cowboys defense, and we just won a shootout against the Cowboys My fear with Dalton is he is incredibly immobile in the pocket, and he cannot buy time like Bryce has to make those clutch throws. Hate on Bryce all you want, but he is pretty good at extending plays and making 4th down conversions. Andy is more “if the throw isn’t there in the first 1.5 seconds, it’s an incompletion or sack” type of QB.
