That’s unfair, and bullshit. It just isn’t true.
-
IMO they should trade him to a team with an established QB, sign a bunch of bad contracts and use all draft assets on Kickers, Punters and Long Snappers. Seems like that would be the best outcome for that franchise. Falcons also may want to consider this strat.

You need to be clutch the whole game. Maybe then you don’t need the do or die stuff at the end so much. Which is nice to have and makes for great entertainment but you don’t want to live there. Everybody is doing ceiling and not really looking at the floor. The floor is the issue and really, has been. IMO. And is the better measure IMO. So I am saying don’t go all in without seeing progress where you know that floor is raised to a good solid level. There have been maybe 3 games this year that have had a pretty solid high high floor for 4 quarters. Dallas was one. Didn’t ask for a lot but it was there when called on. 4 qtrs. High floor. Atl and Rams were high floor. But there were places in both of those games that the floor dipped but it was short lived. It wasn’t allowed to continue. If a couple of those early losses had they had the high floor, maybe they are wins.

Last week he threw a game-losing pick two after a garbage time comeback padded his stats. I wouldn't consider that "playing well".

In Nick Mullens first 5 games as a starter in 2018 he threw for: 262 250 221 414 332 There’s a lot more examples of guys like this. I didn’t look at Jake Browning’s stats last year but he comes to mind as well, along with of course Kyle Allen. Anyone can look good for a few games until the opposing DC gets some tape and starts to actually game plan for whatever attributes stand out on film. Then trash QB reverts back to trash QB and is buried on the bench again.

He is averaging 68% completion and 235 pass yards per game in his first 4 start....on a bad team. Yeah, he has better production as a starter than anyone else in his class and no one practically knew who he was going into this season. He is playing....oddly well (given who he is, how bad the Saints are, etc.). And that's our next opponent. In what folks deem a must win game for this weird ride to continue. So, yeah he should be talked about. football is a team sport. football players can play well......on bad teams and the team not win. I doubt the Saints are judging him on wins right now. but here you are in your Bryce Young feelings making it about Bryce. Go start another Bryce Young thread if you don't want to talk about the Saints.

Dream scenario for ending out the season
mrcompletely11 replied to cranky's topic in Carolina Panthers
My memory is telling me that was all on Richardson. He loved Jake and wanted to reward him. Or something to that effect -
LOL, tell that to the Bryce haters who quote his stats every game. How many yards he throws for, completion percentages, etc. Stats are only a part of the story, there is much more to it.

sure you would.........

Dane Brugler’s panthers mock pick
Stuart Smith replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I saw one site had Cade Mays asking for 12-13 million a year and stating he might get that on the market. I do not see that. Austin Corbett is on a 3 million dollar a year contract. Decisions to be made here might affect how we draft. -
I thought he saw the field very well when he played against the panthers in boa. especially on the run.

Kellen Moore is a good quarterback coach. Don't know that he's a good head coach but the ability to coach QBs is a valuable commodity in this league. Arguably the biggest there is...
-
Regardlessly? Come on, dude
-
He excels with scripted plays and why the first drive often leads to a score and teams practice the 2 minute offense all the time.
-
Some are still trying... With an 800 horsepower engine attached... John Elway made a career out of that.

Dane Brugler’s panthers mock pick

I'll be surprised if Simpson falls that low. I think teams will like how quick he gets rid of the ball. There are enough QB desperate teams in the top 12 between Cleveland, Raiders, Jets, possibly Rams (Stafford is up there in age), and possibly the Vikings if they think JJ is Jamarcus Russell 2.0 -
Maybe Bryce is playing the long con where he intentionally looks like ass 3/4 of the game and then when teams expect him to continue to be bad, he actually plays halfway decent and manages to lead the 4th Q comeback drive TD
-
Anyone who says Bryce is this or isn't this is just basically pulling it out of their ass at this point. No one knows whether Bryce is the man or if Bryce is a total washout. I don't know it, you don't know it. Canales doesn't know it. Heck, even Bryce doesn't know it. He's either learning his game or he's just getting lucky. He's either putting the team on his back for wins or he's causing the losses and deficits all on his own. The only thing that Bryce is, at this point in his career, is a quandary. We'll have to just keep watching to see how it turns out. At least it's interesting in December for the Panthers for once in a long, long while.

As of this moment the Panthers are basically a seesaw. Let's win out the season and go from there.
