  1. Past hour
  2. I think you got him labled correct, he's STer, sad that he's the "best" option for them. Dan has "fixed" the OL and DL, time to use those MLB skills and find 3.......no I think 4 LBs is what is needed. Wallace just too young and he's been given snaps and ....... I think for sure 3 LBs are needed- two starters and top backup..... only bring Boom back on some vet min deal and let him vs Wallace for ST duties as the #4.
  3. If Moore and Simpson stay for next year, in addition to all the other potential QBs in the 2027 draft, Mcshay is outright saying...not hinting, that QB class could be the best in history! That's a bold freaking statement.
  4. I know Dave didn't call a great game or have a good plan with the bye and lots of chips in the pile, but Evero made me beyond pissed when he did this. In fact this was the moment I was- "They are going to lose", going in and until then I still thought Panthers were going to win.... i swear after the SB Ls and a few other games, this loss was a top ten soul crusher for me.....
  5. Yes. Favored by 1.5 on the road. No idea where these things come from. Still pretty bad though. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/10/18/nfl-week-7-panthers-vs-jets-betting-odds-tips-trends-10-19-2025/86770681007/
  6. It's always been between the ears for Darnold. I just don't think he will ever be able to do it.
  7. He's got everything you would physically want in an NFL qb, except sound judgement in the moment.
  8. This keeps coming up a lot: Why does Canales give Bryce such a long leash? Why does he keep putting him out there. There's one really important answer here. It doesn't cherry pick a game, it doesn't take into account draft position, or even height and weight. The number one reason Dave Canales keeps starting Bryce Young is: The QB bench. Look at it. Look at it. That is one dusty ass bench. The Red Rifle can no longer be reloaded. And there's literally no one else there. We've shuffled the practice squad guys a couple of times for QB prospects and they can't even claim a jersey. That's management, not coaching.
  9. He has already started falling off this year. Additionally, his TO/GM rate is back up to near his career norms after the blip last season where he was below 1/GM.
  10. Today
  11. I think people soon forget that Nijman has had more bad games in Panthers uniforms than good games. He is a backup. Again, I don't know what it is about this fanbase and backup OL love. It's a bit odd.
  12. That’s much different than picking up the option. normally a qb wouldn’t go into that situation with one year left but it might end up being Bryce’s only real option. I don’t think he’s going to be an appealing backup qb just because of his size. Like what other offense can he realistically run if someone goes down it’s absolute loser poo but Bryce is looking more and more like someone who’s just happy to be here
  13. Well we'll just see what happens by April. But I put the odds of Bryce Young not being at Panthers training camp at about 1%.
  14. "We never got into any discussions," Morgan replied. "I never opened that door. Didn't want to trade Bryce, still don't and committed to working with him and helping him grow and helping him develop."
  15. 2024 draft was probably one of the worst in panther history 2025 draft on paper looked good but as we sit today, granted its early, there is a lot to be desired He obviously will get another stab at it, but so far I aint seeing it, especially if he was truly advocating for not trading burns and young over stroud
  16. I dont know about singing his praises. I think a lot of it is people thinking scourton is some budding defensive super star which I just don’t see at all. i can’t believe for a second that Dan Morgan who would have maybe won Super Bowl mvp saw Bryce and thought it could work. There’s just no way. Same thing with Reich and mccown etc
  17. I don't see how anyone that watched Panthers football in the past 3 years could argue for Bryce young. It's been terrible. We had more offense under Teddy 2 gloves.
  18. I think the book has been fairly written on Darnold, and by and large stays true. He can be rattled by pressure, and will lose his composure. If a team can get to him and have something go wrong in the plan, the mistakes and errors will pile up. Rams have a better offense, Seahawks sport a better defense. Should be a good 1.
  19. Not a defense of him...an understanding of the problem. (something you seem to be lacking right now) Bryce in a Canales offense is not an example of a stylistic mismatch, but I can give you one if that helps. When he was playing for the Panthers, Cam Newton sat under OC's running Coryell type offenses. Newton had a big arm and was a strong runner. He fit into that sort of attack very well. Then he goes to New England, where at the time they were running an Earhardt-Perkins system (similar to WCO In a lot of what they do but very different terminology). The Patriot offenses back then were heavily based on timing and rhythm style passing, not something that Newton was especially well suited for. So he washed out at New England, not because he had poor ability (his abilities had been on display here on a regular basis) but because he didn't fit what they wanted to do with their offense. I always go back to Jeff Garcia as one of the prime examples of this issue. Garcia in a WCO looked like a world beater. Put him in any other scheme though...yikes! So again, Young's issues here have nothing to do with any failure to mesh with Canales. Hell, is say Canales has actually done pretty well at adapting his system to who he has rather than trying to jam square pegs into round holes. Again, it doesn't take an elite level of football knowledge to get this. It's pretty basic. But if you're not even capable of understanding what the real problem is, how are you going to know you to find the right solution?
