  1. Past hour
  2. Well, we all need to keep in mind that Morgan was part of the same FO that made all the blunders that have been discussed ad nauseam in this forum for months. It was a convenient and understandable thought process to think, "Oh it was all Fitterer! It was him that is at fault!" But this was the same thought process most of us had for Fitterer when Matt Rhule was here. The truth is, anyone who had a hand in decisions during the absolute shitshow of the past few seasons shouldn't be making decisioms for us now. But we know Morgan(who we all love as a player and that will never change) was involved. How much is a mystery but boy all this seems to depressingly familiar. And we all also know David Tepper still has his hands in this at some level. So right out of the gate, you have good evidence of why this might be looking as familiar as it does.
  3. I think we have Gilmore ready to go. Van Pran would be my pick, he can sit a year behind Corbet and then start for 10 years.
  4. I also found this. So the whole “RAS obsession” point is indeed a fan manufactured talking point. It may potentially veer up post Tepper but as noted above, the last two classes have not been demonstrative of that.
  5. Everybody says “I just want them to draft BPA” until they don’t draft whatever player some mock draft says is BPA. One thing that is clear to me is that they are drafting BPA according to their own board, rankings, and evaluations, because RB and LB were certainly not the biggest needs. Most people here, myself included, just have draft crushes on some specific players based on extremely limited information. The teams have 10x the information we do and are looking at 10x the amount of players. That’s not to say they always get it right, it’s more to say the average fan getting it right is more akin to a dead clock being right 2x per day. And you really have no idea, if you were talking to Payton Wilson’s doctors and examining his medicals just like the team is, or sitting through the interviews, or getting direct information from a team of scouts, you may find yourself agreeing with the team more than you think.
  6. There’s nothing to suggest the panthers fixate on high RAS score guys at a rate that’s abnormal, they finished middle of the pack last draft for average RAS score by team and whereas I cannot find the team by team average for the draft prior-the scores outside Brandon smith and Amare barno-the two players people constantly use to prop this argument up-none of the players were anything other than “solid” and sometimes average athletically in that class It seems far more likely that they are taking athletic but raw players in the 3rd and 4th round because those are the types of guys you typically find there, and that the rest of the league is doing the exact same thing
  7. I think CB is our biggest need right now, but passing on C in round 2 does make a statement--We are happy with what we have there. If we needed a starter, we would have never passed of Frazier or Powers-Johnson. However, Van Pran-Granger is sitting there now....
  8. Injury prone RB? I get you might not like the pick, but that is miss informed at best.
  9. He's an explosive RB that can really catch. That may be all the double dip that we're getting (though I doubt it). Yeah, Jerry shot himself in the foot. I guess that he forgot where he was for a moment. We pounced.
  10. I mean, from the third round on you should really take players that can maybe start now or be coached up to become a starter. Because our previous two coaching staffs have been completely inept, this staff shouldn’t think they can improve players and draft accordingly? They should give up and only draft ready to go starters in round 3-7?
  11. Nothing illustrates the concept that there is a lot of misinformation on the internet more than using it to prepare for the draft. Some clown like Kiper who is never held accountable for his suckage makes a statement that is not accurate or misleading. That concept is repeated and rephrased and spread by other clowns seeking clicks. Then the children of Crystal Meth go online to earn honorary, self-awarded doctorate degrees in NFL Draftology and use that credential to rise above all others and denounce or praise draft-related information by proclaiming all who disagree with you are inferior, blasphemous, gridiron offspring from inner city crack whores.....Where was I? Oh yeah....Nah, not worth it.
  12. Every player who has an injury isn't injury prone or every player alive would have that label. They have completely different situations medically.
  13. I just fuging hate how they're always banking on upside instead of just straight up production. That's a huge reason why our drafts have Been so shitty for years. Either Morgan or the scouts that are still there have had a big impact on this.
  14. It’s the same vibe my boss gives off. Just a micromanaging meddler where his ideas are better than yours
  15. It's so bad and it's hilarious. This team looks like it wants to never win. 'It's so new' and yet it's just another way of doing the same crap. Ignore injuries, build around past mistakes making new mistakes to justify it, poorly valued projects (at this point just admit they don't see it as much of a project as reality does) and then just flat out bad hiring (process and people). I think a Madden sim would do a better job after years of this and yet people still find hope to burn. Morgan is SSDD for Tepper in the end.
  16. Or we got suckered...so there's that.
  17. Risks are fine but taking risks all the time will bite you. I think this all suits the Tepper mentality though. It's how he built his fortune. So when these guys act like they are smarter than the rest of the league, he gravitates towards that thinking.
  18. Tepper tries to touch me or take my hat off he will truly learn what FAFO means. How do people defend this clown? He is literally THE WORST thing to ever happen to this organization. It will never be good with that nut hugger in charge.
  19. Show me recent situations where we thought we were smarter than the rest of the league and it worked out. I can show you dozens of examples of that not being the case. I am not going to applaud hubris. Especially when it has nothing to back it up.
  20. 100% We passed on a poo load of talent that could play right fuging now but morgans strategy is obviously the long game. Again I see both sides but one is high high risk and will get your ass fired quickly
  21. the weird thing is that most of these places have him pegged as a 3rd rounder the crime is that we didn’t take a guy from their Alma mater
  22. Yea the offer was too good to pass up
