  1. Past hour
  2. I wonder how long they keep this Jack Plumber guy around. I guess they needed an arm for rookie camp but it’s an extremely underwhelming option even for a qb3
  3. I can honestly never recall a goalie that fell down as many times as Freddie did in the playoffs... Like it was watching a 5-year-old as they first learn how to ice skate
  4. He’s the qb whisperer, however as lucky as it may be that those qb’s walked into stacked WR rooms. Canales can just as easily be a con artist charlatan
  5. Yeah Canales' offense was pretty bland. He just does a really good job of hiding what he is doing with motions, formations, and making people guess at play actions. He has literally said in a press conference that their motions and formations are the pillars of what they do. He and Shane Waldron are from the same stock- check out some of the Seattle highlights too from years past, looks similar to what he did in Tampa.
  6. It's gotta be the youth, but Andy Reid is innovative too, yet I think he and Adam hung out as kids.
  7. Good time to break the Vet QB thing down I guess. The only QBs still active from Canales' time in Seattle that aren't locked down with other teams are Brett Hundley and Jacob Easton. In Buffalo, Morgan was in their office when they brought it Matt Barkley, Jake Fromm, and Jacob Eason. Fromm just got waived and Barkley and Eason are both available. (And have been here before). Others that are a possibility- Kyle Allen (Likely cut in Pittsburgh). Blaine Gabbert, Ryan Tannehill, Brian Hoyer, Trevor Siemien, AJ McCarron, are also available. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see Blaine Gabbert if this is what they do. He was in KC with Tillis last year. If Tampa cuts John Wolford, he might get picked up since he was with Tampa last season.
  8. All this means is the early Russ years, you had a scrambling qb adding 100 carries and 800 yards to the totals.
  9. I don't know...I think he tailors things around what Bryce can do comfortably and well. The run game and OK will just make it easier. Run games and OL don't just help gunslingers. They help every young or weaker QB. I think people are just stuck in limited paradigms.
  10. It's ironic that he would be upset for that reason, given that he played the same role with Griffin.
  11. Don't think he is a franchise QB. A dink and dunk "game manager" type. He needs a good running game behind him. Thats his ceiling I believe. He has a very limited set of physical tools to work with. Sorry, but true.
  12. Ok, so my OOAL projection for Bryce this year.... ~500 attempts ~320 completions (64%) ~3800 yards ~25 TDs + 4 rushing TDs ~15 INTs
  13. When do you suggest? After week 1 or a few days before. Planning on going as well
  14. Today
  15. Takes 5 mins to hop on YT throw on some Baker highlights and see that a lot of Baker’s big completions aren’t balls Young will throw or quite frankly is capable of throwing Canales isn’t a Bobby Slowik where he’s scheming guys wide ass open
  16. its proverbial .500 ball in the modern era. Preseason should be fun to see what DC has installed.
  17. His best plays were consistently on 4th downs. Stroud blows him away physically, but in the clutch he may be better.
  18. I don't get this logic. I mean, John Fox found some success here or there too when his stubborn run game wasn't working well. His risk taking QB would just chuck it up for 89. Baker was chucking it up to Mike Evans. I mean, Pete, Fox, Ron all had their ideal version of how to play football. When the run wasn't working, they all could find some success in the air. It's just inconsistent football for them. Canales’ Tampa team would have had a bad time last year if they were playing in the old NFCS. As in an actual good division. They beat 2 teams with winning records last year and 1 of those opposing QBs was playing hurt. Division was good when Fox was rolling around playing his brand of football. So yeah, he was sneaking into the playoffs by default with a bad run
  19. I mean I guess its how you define Fox ball. He wanted to run a billion times a game and take the occasional deep shot, rely on defense. It was a pretty straight forward old school nfl offense
  20. My wife and daughters constantly remind me of this. My reaction...
  21. I’m not propping him up. I’m saying his offense isn’t Fox ball as they found success through their QB despite their running game being bottom tier. That could never happen in Fox football.
  22. All offenses need a QB to challenge the defense. Bill O’Brien had Bryce doing this at Alabama. It’s why Jamo went in the 1st round. You need great deep threat WRs to make it work. Geno was great at it in Seattle because they had DK and Lockett plucking the ball out of the air deep. That’s just good football. A running game they just respect plus a WR that can track and adjust to deep balls is part of the formula. Too much of this “deep ball thrower” is labeled on the QB vs the WR and scheme. I’ll keep going back to Tua wasn’t a good deep ball thrower until he got deep ball receivers. Also Miami has installed a solid running game to complement this. Canales is trying to build a complete NFL offense and if someone like Bryce can’t operate in it, then we will simply find a QB that can.
  23. propping up Canales and calling him an innovator for having a bottom half offense in a horrible horrible division is pretty wild Ive said all along Dave is a fine hire. A fine hire. The best tepper could do under the circumstances that he created. But if you dont see the major red hurricane level beach flags with this hire then you are blind. I hope it works, I really do but come on.......
  24. Thanks pal. That means a lot coming from a fellow fan on here. I actually do own a successful business that allows my family to have a nice life and the privilege to have season tix. The canes allow me to be a fan with ups and downs and not laddered up robot. Something I don’t do in the professional or family world. Prob didn’t think about that one.
