  1. Malik was sniffing coke here you can’t have that around the franchise superstar who’s not old enough to drink. Going to a team full of hall of fame vets was the best thing that could have happened to Monk and he seems like he’s grown up, I’m genuinely happy for the guy.
  2. PJ is who I was talking about. Definitely our best center but teams with any size are a problem for us without Plumlee or Richards on the court. Everything revolves around covering up our weakness at the 5 cuz you either go with PJ and get bullied by bigger teams or pray that Plumlee decides to be an NBA player that night Bouknight’s the worst passer of the guards and maybe the third best shooter in his current state, there’s just not a lot moments to justify him in the lineup when we’re floating around .500. And I disagree, whenever I’ve seen him get minutes it’s either in garbage time or because we needed someone to start scoring. I think he’ll be fine though. Even this scene pales in comparison to Malik’s immaturity here.
  3. And in defense of JB's rotations, most of the lineups are to try and mitigate how we have 20 guards and our best big is not a true center. Bouk only makes sense out when the others are cold and they need a shooting spark, and there's so many shooters on this team that it's rare.
  4. If you honestly believe that this team is just marginally better than Clifford's horncats there's no reasoning with you my friend. There's no question the franchise is on the come up a lot fans just refuse to give JB any credit for it. The idea that the team just improved like that in a vacuum and is now being held back by bad coaching is silly to me. I've said the same about MJ criticism for years. When the going gets tough "Jordan micromanages and is too cheap" when they're doing well it's because the GM's great and he got out of the way.Judge these guys by the results they produce not your preconceptions of them.
  5. Gotta consider where the team was before compared to now. The way critics make his player development out to be is how Clifford actually ran this team for 5 years, always opting for vets and not giving the young guys any time. Defense was all he had going for him and it's not like Charlotte was one the top teams in that regard. Under Borrego we've had a ROTY, incredible team chemistry, an exciting young roster with a lot of developing guys, and arguably the top offense in basketball. If the defense wasn't so wildly inconsistent I think he'd easily be a coach of the year candidate. I thought he was in the running last year until the collapse down the stretch when Gordon went down. Charlotte has literally gone from gutter status to a top team under Borrego and people are too focused on their favorite project getting more play time to see that. Players get the credit for everything good about the team right now and he gets blamed for everything bad.
  6. I haven't watched Pickett play a snap, he could be Dan Marino for all I know. I don't like Rhule having that much power when dude's supposed to be on a short leash. If this didn't reek of desperation I'd feel way different.
  7. ESPN's beat writers simulated the offseason amongst each other and hometown hero David Newton played Carolina's GM. After unsuccessful offers for Wilson and Garoppolo we re-sign Cam as veteran competion for 1yr/$5m and draft Pickett with the #6. The fanbase will erupt if we reach for Rhule's guy so I can certainly see them trying to bring Cam back for morale again if that happens.
  8. I'm surprised that LaMelo with his following didn't get in purely on fan vote tbh. Like I won't argue the list ahead of him but four guards in the East doubling him in votes is kinda ridiculous and not a great look for the fanbase.
  9. If he gets strong enough to do this against NBA players we're in business, the motor is there. Dude's pretty babyfaced too so I think there's still room to grow.
  10. Never seen a team get the bad end of officiating at home as often as Charlotte does
  11. Linderbaum feels like this year's Slater just at a less desireable position. Pro's pro who will never make you worry about technique. I don't see your scenario happening but I'd take him over OT4 just to end the Center need.
  12. If tepper lets rhule gamble #6 on pickett to try and save his job we deserve whatever outcome.
  13. I just want one season of Cam with real pass protection so we can close the book. Is that too much to ask, after everything? The 49ers year and the dumpster fire bro walked into here aren't remotely comparable.
  14. Hate the idea of selling the farm for anything short of an elite QB while we're still on the hook for Darnold.
  15. Yeah I fear that last year may give them the confidence to try this. We have a rare chance to solve a long-standing need. Don’t get cute.
  16. I think it’s dumb to to do that with any draft pick before they even put the jersey on. And back then I still trusted their ability to evaluate players.
  17. A good number of us were. Some serious revisionist history going on here.
  18. Dude was all-pro at the position your “profiles” are worthless
  19. To be fair to Rhule, everyone in that room co-signed that list and the decision to go CB or WR if Sewell was gone.
  20. It's at the 6 minute mark of this video. The fugged up thing is they got the general order right. Those guys were the picks from #6-#10.
  21. Slater was not in play at all for the 8th. They showed the shortlist in the war room video Penei Sewell (Went 7th) Jaycee Horn (8th) Patrick Surtain (9th) Jaylen Waddle (6th) DeVonta Smith (10th)
