  1. Trai just retweeted me..................................................
  2. I don't subscribe to this idea that there's a universal big board for the whole league. "BPA" is subjective and varies from team-to-team. Shaq is a possibly great player but now he has to prove that he was the best for the Panthers. I don't hate the pick. I just worry that even if the Panthers drafted Luke's clone it wouldn't do much for this team when the holes are so glaring.
  3. Taking time to evaluate a potential game changer is caring more about winning. I'd have no problem with them passing on him if they did that.
  4. I agree but this is why it's upsetting that the Panthers are just ignoring him. Unless they've got the scoop that he's definitely going before 25, there's no excuse to not at least meet the kid before you make that call. Usually I hate the "not serious about winning" poo but it's hard to not feel that way when the possible answer to our prayers in a tall, speedy WR comes along and the organization seems like they don't even want to consider him.
  5. Black helmets and midfield logo have a better shot. I just hope he gets drafted before us so it doesn't sting so bad.
  6. On that note: Seattle is a playoff team without Wilson. Super Bowl? Arguable. Jimmy Graham helps.
  7. At the Hornets game. Crowd erupted into a "LUUUUUUKE." Wonder what they could be chatting about.....
  8. I like Ginn but some of ya'll are killing me acting like we should just ignore speedy recievers now. You realize he was on the team before and wasn't Randy Moss, right?
  9. This is spot-on but to be fair to this crowd I don't think they ignore the team weaknesses. They seem to believe that a "franchise QB" should be able to overcome them and if Cam can't we should find someone who should. I get it but I think that's just flawed logic. The Panthers' weaknesses as a team are so anti-QB that there's no one in the league that I can confidently say could have done more than Cam has, and that's a testament to his talent. There's always room for improvement and no one has ever suggested otherwise.
  10. Biggest takeway I get from that from that is that he feels like Ginn is the speed answer so the next WR will be a slot guy. Also maybe it's just the Kool-Aid talking about everything I'm hearing sounds like the team feels good with Oher at LT. I'm sure we'll still draft someone for depth but it seems like Gman's more confident in him than the fans are.
  11. Crust is at least 60%. I've had pies where the filling wasn't great but the crust was. Never the other way around.
  12. Can stop referring to a guy with 4 career tackles as a special teams "ace"
  13. I'd imagine it's mostly fan support and the small extra bargaining chip the hometown team gets. Apples and oranges here but look at Lebron and Cleveland. Also it's just easier to scout in proximity, especially for small schools like App that might be overlooked completely otherwise.
  14. 1. KB 2. Ginn 3. Boykin 4. Cotchery 5. Brown would disappoint, but not surprise me
  15. I don't feel comfortable signing our #2 WR past round one. We're not in a position to go bargain hunting.
  16. Can we go ahead and put a filter on "Blind Side" before the first sack of the season
  17. I'll take this over spending KB's prime trying to grow a WR core from dirt. We're not going to get Calvin Johnson through free agency, this is about as good as it gets.
  18. Losing your mother is a terrible thing and I don't know DeAngelo Williams personally, so I'm would not dare assume that he would do something as terrible as lie about it for his own gain. Regardless, context is everything and the timing of this from him is disappointing and exploitative towards the fans and this franchise. I feel for his loss. I can't respect how he brought it up on his way out the door like a scorned lover instead of mentioning it at any point during the nine illustrious years he had with the franchise, including public moments the franchise specifically dedicated to his mother. It hurts as a fan because I thought he was better than that.
  19. He rushed for 1000+ yards and 15 TDs in high school. Can't find much about college except one game where he was put in and got 150 yds on 10 carries. He seems like a very capable backup at the very least.
  20. It's too bad that Chicago's standards are terrible because Cutler's deal would be perfect for Cam
  21. Surprised no one's mentioned that he plays RB too. Could he backup Fozzy if Stewart goes down? That could be a valuable bonus if we're getting rid of DWill, I just don't know the rules of position swapping.
  22. You'd think Blackmon and Gordon were the only guys who ever had behavior problems entering into the draft.
  23. The boy scout clause is all well and good in the top 15 but if this team skips out on a superstar WR at 25 good lord
