  1. Burns is a core player; we shouldn't let him go unless we get a really good offer for him. Fitterer better keep in mind what Tepper said, "I never want to lose on a trade" We'll see.
  2. I could see why Burns wants out. Snow Dropping him back into coverage doesn't give him the opportunity to increase his sack total. Sack totals = $$$$. Maybe he'll have a change of heart now that Wilks is in charge. We still have some leverage with the Franchise Tag. I'd hope we could resign him and not have to go that route but, if we really want to keep him Tagging may be an option.
  3. Wouldn't it be interesting if Wilks cans McAdoo after Sunday's game if our offense looks inept again. Maybe he told him, get this offense going or your next.
  4. GREAT POST I too am an eternal optimist, so I go into Sunday's game hoping we beat them. I think it's possible. I think what is more important is how we actually play. I think Wilks will have our players coming out to punch LA Rams in the mouth. Hit them hard and make a statement. Carolina is not going to just roll over and give you anything. If we win it will be a glorious day, if we lose and play a good game than there will be optimism for the remainder of the season. I will never focus on draft picks until we are mathematically eliminated. EVER
  5. That was a great hire in hiring Campy. I think I saw a stat that we are the only team in the NFL that have the same starting 5 through week 5. This is a huge change for us. I the past we seemed to have the worst luck with keeping our linemen healthy.
  6. I'm hoping for the best, expecting the worst.
  7. I'm hoping for the best, expecting the worst.
  8. Go ahead Mr. Knowledgeable and call Tepper and tell him to cancel the season so we don't win anymore games. Go jump on a winning team bandwagon so you can have a successful season.
  9. Exactly a fan forum. This team isn't tanking for anything so a knowledgeable fan, like myself, won't beg for something that is never going to happen. But we have to put up with the begging and moaning of fans, like you, that don't know much about what it takes to play professional football.
  10. Got it. Just go into the locker room and tell the players that they need to stop trying so hard so we can get a #1 draft pick.
  11. That logic means the forum would fold. No one in this forum has the power to call plays, draft players, fire coaches or anything else. What is an acceptable topic?
  12. Yeah, cause we need room for one more tanking thread.
  13. That was a terrible kick. He's lucky the Bears didn't score on that last drive.
  14. In these drafts how many QBs were selected before that winning QB?
  15. I agree, at that point if we had Wilson or Lawrence at our pick it would have been insane not to take them. That said, how many of huddlers would be screaming bust on either of them. I say the book is still out on both. I've seen Lawrence make some sweet throws and than just throw a terrible Int. Same with Wilson.
  16. Logical. College play can really over/under emphasize the ability of a player. You see it every year. 2022 the best QB in that draft just might be Bailey Zappe.
  17. And you made the point of not tanking for a QB. We drafted Horn in 2021 who at this point is better than any of the QBs in that draft.
  18. No, I'm not but I am saying that Tanking isn't the answer.
  19. Hahahahahaha Everyone, every season, if we aren't doing well, wants to tank for a QB. Oddly, I've never heard you tell the other 4 million post on tanking your educated response.
  20. Everyone was screaming for us to Tank and get a QB in 2021. Before I start I want to say that yes, it is possible that all or none of these guys will eventually get it. Right now, I'm not impressed. Let's look how each is doing. Lawrence looking spotty at best. Shown some flashes but not showing he's a franchise QB, yet. Wilson looks like he might be turning the corner but clearly not Franchise Material Lance, is already hurt but in his limited time at QB wasn't showing much. Fields is definitely not going to be the answer. He only makes throws that aren't uncontested. Jones is/was probably the best of the 5 and he might not get his job back from Zappe. My point is, tanking for a QB is not a sure thing and we should play to our ability and let the chips fall as they may. If we end up with a top 5 than so be it. However, if we drop out of the top 5, it's not the end of the world.
  21. Our defense held up pretty well in most of our games until the end playing a college version of defense. Expect to see a better defense playing NFL style defense. LAR offensive line is in shambles and Stafford, though he won't admit it, is hurt. Depending on what "reset" McAdoo is talking about we could look totally different on Offense. This would be like playing a team during the 1st week. I'll stick with the positive attitude and leave the Debbie Downer to you.
  22. Absolutely but you can also state that Boston College isn't some standard to rate a good OC or not. They are mediocre at best in the ACC. Now if he was terrible with a school that actually has great recruits it would be hard to argue. Chudz has history of running a powerful offense in the NFL. Based on the OP topic Chudz wouldn't be a bad choice. Are there other choices, obviously yes, but staying on topic. I like Chudz.
  23. Yeah and Boston College is loaded with talent. Obviously, you forgot what he did here. He'd be much better than McAdoo.
  24. If we somehow pull off an upset this weekend. That could really energize this team. It's all going to come down to our offense coming out of the closet and actually putting some points on the board. Our division isn't a runaway just yet. Tampa has 2 loses and could have been 3 had the refs not saved them on that BS sack.
