And cause a nuclear meltdown in this forum for sure. @Zod will have to invest in a new equipment to keep this place running.

Find your favorite drug because I won't doubt that Rhule will give Darnold more of the Reps than Mayfield and if he gives Mayfield any Reps it will be with the 2nd team O-line to give the illusion that Darnold is outplaying Mayfield.

I don't know about that. DJ is very good at winning contested balls.

DJ Moore Stops Fight At Fan Fest
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Butterflyj30's topic in Carolina Panthers
It is the sign of the times. Back in the old dsys it was STFU and move on. People had more self-control. Nowadays people seemed entitled because they spend 2 or 3 hundred dollars on a ticket. It is happening more and more in sports. Sucker punching seems to be the vogue thing nowadays. Fans from other cities seemed to be the worst. They come into town, talk smack and fight, especially if they lose. -
Player snap counts vs Commanders
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think what really chaps my ass is, though we are fans, we still see obvious flaws in their games. It isn't that we dislike them because we just don't want to like them. They cannot be effective starters. Worse than that is we actually have players that aren't just marginally better but leaps and bounds better. Younger, Stronger and more versatile. Outside of having his ego ruined. Rhule can't be this blind, than again he is. -
I watched part of that game. Willis was trying to do everything with his legs. The difference between Willis and Corral. Willis is getting valuable Reps with the offense. Corral gets the last 5 minutes of practice because Rhule doesn't have anything else to work on. As previously stated Rhule is treating Corral like he is redshirt freshman instead of the future of the franchise. What is going to bite Rhule in the ass is when Darnold and Mayfield go down with injuries and we are forced to play Corral or someone off the streets. If they do the former Corral will be ruined. Corral will not be able to execute the offense from reading the playbook only. HE HAS TO HAVE MEANINGFUL, VALUABLE REPS in practice.

10-1 odds Corral has a mysterious season ending injury and ends up on IR.

Wasn't this one of the grips they had about The Golden Calf of Bristol? Also Kapernick? That long wind-up tends to gives DBs an extra step.

Player snap counts vs Commanders
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
@TheSpecialJuan It's only one preseason game but with the performance of these non-starters how do you feel about our depth and what areas still need attention. -
No doubt about it. Jake Delhomme would have never become such a fan favorite had he not trusted Smitty to come down with contested throws. Jake was a gunslinger and Agent 89 was a gunslingers greatest weapon.

Seems like we really were focused on the passing game. I still think our RB room is pretty solid though the numbers don't say so. -

Mays is supposed to be a mauler and even as a rookie is better than Jordan. -
Robbie doesn't seem to be much of a fighter. Hell I'd say DJ Moore comes down with this too.

I think this play will bring big dividends this year. Robbie will have good numbers. Agent 89 comes down with this ball 99 out of 100. Sure miss that man.

Why is PJ Walker EVEN on the team?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Corral looked very unimpressive and rightly so. I hate to admit it but PJ didn't do too badly and we probably won because of his 2nd half performance. Unless Fitterer and Rhule do absolutely something stupid end try to put Corral on the PS, there is no way we keep PJ. Rhule clearly is looking out for his boy over what's good for the future of the Carolina Panthers. If Baker ends up having a great season than we'll tag him for a season and Corral has another season to develop. What happens if Baker craps the bed? Darnold is for sure to be gone. We're not going to resign Baker. Now we are going to have to consider drafting another QB because our rookie looks lost behind a line that didn't even make the final 53. PJ is not making this team and Rhule needs to wake the F up and start giving his rookie some real work or we can write 2023 off if Baker craps the bed. -

Jake made a career out of throwing into double coverage but than again he had Agent 89. Robbie Anderson clearly isn't like Agent 89. -
He flipped flopped so many times in the game. When they went down and scored their 1st touchdown it was as if HE turned on the dominator switch for the Commodores. Later when we scored and were up by 14 he was "it is ok we'll learn from this" Howell comes in and gives them the lead he's all dominator again. Then Smith takes a good kickoff return and you could see him floundering again. When we won the game he was back to "it ok we'll learn from this" Guy was probably the most annoying "homer" color man I have ever heard.

Rhule's going to ruin our rookie before he ever gets a chance to play behind a real line. He'll have David Carr Syndrome before our 1st real game.

To everyone already calling Corral some booty
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheoJay10's topic in Carolina Panthers
That exactly how it looks. Rhule has too much college in him. 3rd year in the NFL and like Rivera loves him so veterans. -
Throw me a slice.

The safeties closing on him didn't help. Point is, I can see this play happening more this season with better results. -

That line was absolutely abysmal, he had no time to do anything. Not to mention little reps. He didn't look great but I would like to see him behind a starting Oline before I trash him to the junk pile. Rivera was trying to win the game. He was bringing all sorts of heat. Rhule didn't really put him in a position to succeed. -

Baker missed that throw to Robbie but I see that play producing a lot of big plays this coming season. Barro, B. Smith and Barnes defensively S. Smith has such great speed that he needs to be on the field more. He basically won the game for us with that nice return on our winning drive. -
Official Panthers at Commies GameDay Thread

1. Corral was playing with an Oline made up of players that will be watching the NFL just like you and me come Sept 11. They were worse than our starting OL last year. 2. Little to no Reps in practice. 3. Clearly trying to do too much. 4. Rivera was bringing all sorts of heat in a preseason game. I guess it was important to beat Carolina regardless of whether it was a Preseason game or not.
