  1. I’ll believe it when I see it. I like Wilks and hope he turns the team around, and I think he deserves a fair shot after this season. But Tepper is still the owner and the abject fool who is still going to be paying Rhule’s paycheck for the next 4 years. So I can’t say I have any faith in this franchise to do anything but lose.
  2. I expect a close game with the Panthers finding a way to lose at the end, per usual. We’re back to 2020 Panthers football. A semblance of competence but an innate ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
  3. And here I was thinking we were the team that was cursed
  4. maybe Darren Sproles is a better comparison. He will definitely make noise in the NFL.
  5. We will see what Texas is able to do against them. I do like Deuce Vaughn though and could be a good target for the Panthers in the 3rd or 4th round. Both RBs in the Texas/K-State game could be targets for the Panthers.
  6. Side note Deuce Vaughn is a CMC clone.
  7. Kansas State Wildcats use the Panthers growl sound when they get first downs. What a bunch of posers. They're not even Panthers.
  8. Fat Fool isn’t the coach anymore so that’s good
  9. What? Not true and also f*ck value charts. You snag a gamer in the first round and get that 5th year option that’s crucial
  10. You could be right and if that’s the case I’ll be out on the deal depending on what draft picks the Rams want. But if it’s Burns for 2 firsts and a 3rd or 4th in 2023, that’s insane for a tweezer pass rusher who disappears in the run game. This is why the Panthers can’t built a winner. That’s a ridiculous package.
  11. Honestly as Cam showed us, none of this sh*t matters as long as you have a franchise QB. He had garbage around him most of his career on the Panthers and managed to have an MVP season. His best receiver was a TE.
  12. What are the Panthers waiting for to trade Burns? 3 first rounders? If you get two firsts and a 2023 mid rounder it’s a no brainer to me, that’s way more than he’s worth
  13. You wanna know something scary? I bet the run defense improves after he leaves.
  14. I mean the team is 2-6 starting the 4th string QB and already dumped two high priced players. The tank is already in full effect if you haven’t noticed.
  15. The best thing Wilks has done is run proper NFL defensive formations and gap assignments, and start PJ
  16. Burns sucks against the run. Trade him for two picks, try and get a mid round 2023 pick to seal the deal.
  17. I’m gonna be honest I do think he should be cut, he wasn’t even supposed to be the kicker this year. This wasn’t John Kasay or Graham Gano having a bad game. This guy has played 8 games for the team. First time he has a pressure kick he blows it TWICE. Should be Bye Felicia but he’s here to stay to lose us more games. This franchise loves to lose.
  18. I think the franchise is about to sell out to draft a QB in the first round until they find one. It was so f*cking stupid to pass on Justin Fields.
  19. The latter is the main reason I think to extend him. The only difference is how well he plays and how big his contract will be.
  20. Bottom line is we identified a trash kicker who should have been left at the stadium after the game. I never want to hear his name again.
  21. The expectation is to win. The team has been losing these kinds of close games for DECADES but really since the second half of 2018 the curse is really bad. I could list so many games that are a mirror image of this game over the last 4 years. Panthers have lost ALL of them. It is really more than just bad luck at this point. The team is cursed. Something is just very wrong with this franchise.
  22. Oh this game made you feel better about the team? This fanbase just has Stockholm Syndrome at this point. To me it was more of the same old garbage we’ve seen for many years. A game the Panthers should have won they managed to lose.
  23. They’ve been cursed since way before Tepper
  24. I've seen many fans re-considering their fandom of this franchise after today's game. And honestly, I don't blame a single one. I've been a Panthers fan since the beginning and I remember it all. All the highs and lows. The inaugural game, the 1996 NFC Championship appearance, the one win 2001 team lead by Chris Stinky, the 2003 Superbowl run, the Jimmy Clausen 2010 garbage season, Cam's MVP season and the 2015 Superbowl year, and now the abysmal Matt Rhule era. It's been quite a roller coaster ride, one that has the wildest swings of any NFL franchise. There is one unfortunate conclusion that I have come to over the years - the Panthers have me trapped in an abusive relationship. They do enough to keep my interest, teasing a fun season every now and again, an occasional victory, but ultimately, the pain greatly outweighs the joy. Nothing has become more true than after watching today's game, an oddly familiar loss that Panthers fans have witnessed countless times before. Even after DJ Moore caught the game-tying TD pass, I think many of us knew deep down that the Panthers would lose the game. Because that is what they do. They comfort you by making a big play, make you think "maybe they've changed, maybe this is the time they finally treat me better, maybe this time they finally win", but a Panther doesn't change their spots. Ultimately exactly what I expected to happen, happened. The only thing this franchise knows how to do well is deliver abuse. Many fans have bonded over all the trauma the team has put us through. Some fans have Stockholm Syndrome, even loving and defending their captor. So I get it. I get why so many fans aren't showing up for the home games anymore. I get why the Huddle is about as negative as it has been in its entire history. Today is about as bleak as it gets. Even when the team seemingly plays well enough to win a close game, they lose. There's seemingly nothing this franchise can do to set things right and the future looks extremely bleak. Enough is enough. Why do we subject ourselves to this abuse? There's really no rational reason to keep rooting for this team. The team is obviously cursed or something, why do we keep doing it?
