  1. Tepper is going to have a hard time getting anyone worth a sh*t to work with him
  2. This strategy has been blowing up in team's faces across the NFL with some obvious exceptions, but those are rare and come with a list of caveats. It's time for the Panthers to draft a 1st round QB prospect. It's even MORE important to put an offensive staff together with a proven record of developing a young QB. Shane Steichen is a very intriguing option. He has worked with both Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurts, both QB's who look best under his coaching. Maybe he'd be open to bringing in Frank Reich as his offensive coordinator, if Frank doesn't find a head coaching opportunity he finds suitable. Frank Reich is also an interesting option in his own right, and his family apparently lives in the NC region. Would depend on who he'd put on staff, in my opinion.
  3. Say what you want about Bridgewater, the book is written on him. But you can’t say that about Fields. How many 4th quarter comebacks did Cam have 2/3s of the way through his second year? How many have MOST star QBs have that early in their career? The biggest thing Fields has shown this season is that he markedly looks better than his rookie season. If he builds on that he could become a good QB.
  4. You’re missing the point entirely. It’s not that I love Justin Fields, far from it. The point is, it was clearly the right decision for the Panthers to draft him. Even after they traded for Darnold. It’s highlighting the continued failure of the previous and current regime to draft a replacement for Cam Newton. There were multiple opportunities to draft a QB prospect in 2020 and 2021 and they passed on them all.
  5. You need a QB and everything else can come second. CB is a premium position. It’s not something you take top 10 if you don’t have an answer at QB. Everyone associated with this franchise should be fired for not understanding that. Hurts should have been picked in 2020, Fields should have been drafted in 2021, they didn’t draft a QB until 2022 for Christ sake. This team is run by idiots.
  6. Rhule was a total and complete failure at the NFL level but I do think his skills translate to college. I think the biggest reason he isn’t getting attention is the contract buyout.
  7. If they’d just drafted Fields and kept Bridgewater in 2021 we’d be in quite a different situation
  8. I honestly hate Tepper more than anyone for hiring this clown and giving him such a ridiculous contract
  9. FIFA is corrupt and the world cup is rigged. Only reason Qatar has the tournament to begin with is because they bribed french officials by buying a large amount of weapons from them USA game was officiated like the game was rigged from the start. FIFA is garbage and it's not fun to watch something so blatantly rigged.
  10. At this point in the season you might as well throw Darnold out there. Dude is making almost $19m from this team to do JACK SH*T. Baker is garbage and PJ is hurt and inconsistent. Darnold sucks but maybe he could be a long term backup. I imagine his career going a lot like Blaine Gabbert’s has.
  11. I think it looks more like old, hard, nasty dog sh*t that when you step in it you breathe new life into the sh*t. That’s how I felt about seeing Faker play again today.
  12. I dunno, we’re underestimating how cursed the Panthers truly are. If they had made the trade, the Rams would go on to win the next three Super Bowls and Brian Burns would break the sack record every year. The Panthers would draft guys who barely see the field and are out of the league in 2 years. Because they didn’t make the trade, of course it looks like we should have made it. But at the end of the day this team is garbage and having those picks would have been enticing to a new HC.
  13. He’s just doing what he always does - play like an asshole
  14. Is anyone surprised? This team is embarrassing on offense
  15. Quite possibly the dumbest defensive gameplan to play 10 yards off receivers during a 2 min drill. Lamar just nickel and diming them down the field.
  16. I literally wrote “If Wilks pulls some upsets and the team finishes with a winning record (under his leadership, not Rhule’s 1-4 start) I will understand why they’d keep him.” but thanks for making it obvious you read 5% of my post appreciate your contribution to this forum
  17. Wilks is a good person and leader. He is as qualified to be the HC as many others that the Panthers would be interviewing. My biggest concern if they retain him as HC is turnover at the OC position. I’d rather hire an offensive minded HC when they draft a rookie QB. The head coach’s primary responsibility would be developing the rookie QB and that guarantees the HC will be around long enough to see it though. But the season still has a good chunk of games left. If Wilks pulls some upsets and the team finishes with a winning record (under his leadership, not Rhule’s 1-4 start) I will understand why they’d keep him.
  18. Head coach is the most important followed closely by franchise QB. The coach needs to be able to identify the QB and staff that he can build around to win, not the other way around.
