Yup. How about we pay our best pass rusher who is entering his prime with a contract that lasts the length of Young’s rookie contract. Burns is one of the few players worth watching. We’ve already given away the two most entertaining offensive guys.

Yeah even if it’s not their fault…they need to go. I mean coaching staffs are turned over for losing with depleted rosters. That wasn’t their fault either. -
BREAKING: Panthers acquiring OLB

I’m an idiot but on discord, I can embed by changing “x” to “fxtwitter”. I’ll try it on here. https://fxtwitter.com/schultz_report/status/1716889861930750146?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA Edit: welp…I remain dum dum. -
Didn’t say Burns was better. It was a joke about how hyperbolic people are with their takes on Burns. My opinion is that Bosa is the better and more well rounded DE. He’s also on a far better team that wins games. If Bosa was on this 0-6 team, negativity would pick apart his game too and exaggerate his weaknesses and downplay his strengths…just like with Burns. You can disagree, but it’s ridiculous how people rip Burns apart when he doesn’t beat his man every down…when Bosa; an even more elite player (and Garrett, and Peppers, and White, and Deacon Jones, etc), also, clearly don’t win a lot. It’s the NFL. The tackles are great too. People just don’t appreciate what they have until it’s gone. Peppers was lazy and took plays off…now “Burns ain’t no Peppers.” He isn’t Bosa, Peppers, or anyone else. But he’s Burns…and he’s a damn good player.

My favorite receiver as a kid. Who remembers Moose, Walls, Jeffers, Beuerlein lighting up the league? If we only had a defense in 1999.
-
That can’t be right. Bosa is elite and always makes the play in critical moments and on 3rd downs. Unlike Burns. Did we trade him yet? He doesn’t finish plays, can’t stop the run, takes plays off, and just doesn’t care. Hennessy is cliche, and Spider-Man is stupid. If he wants elite money, then he should have (checks notes) 2.5 sacks like Bosa.

I was going to agree but I only cringe when it’s a Cowboys fan or a perennially successful team like the Pats before Brady left.

Highly relevant. Both parties and their perceived value of the assets determine if the trade happens.

Panthers Grant TMJ Permission to Seek Trade

Don’t disrespect David Gettis. Literally and sarcastically. -
I don’t think it’s a matter of valuing entertainment over ethics. It’s just that there are ethical dilemmas in literally everything we do. And we put faith in others to tell us if someone is ethical or not. We don’t have time or ability to fully understand anything. There isn’t a person here who intimately know the people involved in the situation with Richardson. We take employee testimony. Richardson’s testimony. We make a value judgment about all those involved, and then we make a semi-educated guess about what really happened. That’s all we can do. But then some people make “matter of fact” statements about the situation like they “know” it to be true. But people are messy; they aren’t math. It’s not black and white: ever. So by and large, I keep morals and ethics separate from the “art” itself. Unless someone is prepared to deep dive background check every person involved in any entertainment, every product you buy (how much of our products have slave labor in the production chain?), etc, then it’s best to let poo go at this level, and allow the proper systems in place to take care of the ethics side for us. Or we can dunk on strangers on the internet behind our aliases with little to no risk, while hoping our moral shortcomings don’t ever get exposed; lest we be subjected to the same treatment we dish out so freely on others.

Seriously, do y'all want a positive vibes only thread?

Sometimes monkeys throw poo at each other. Other times, they groom each other. Debate is fun, but never forget that we are Panther fans who get poun…keep pounding together. -
His skill set will allow him to play for another 3-5 years if he so chooses. Love that guy. These young guys can gain so much from him if they have the work ethic and want to.

"Bryce Young needs superstars to be successful"
Wundrbread33 replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Before we just needed an average QB. Now that CMC and Moore are gone, now we just need average weapons. All the while we just wanted average coaching. From where I’m sitting, I don’t think any of it is average. Beating a dead horse…but Tepper really didn’t settle for mediocrity after all. -
Bryce is working. We just can’t see it yet.

Brian Burns statline: 2 tackles, 0 sacks

Burns haters are the wurst. -
Embrace the darkness!

Virtue signaling aside, Richardson’s crime was being old. Men are attracted to women. A young rich guy gets away with it. An old Bojangles tea rich guy gets cancelled.
-
This dude is currently not a fighter. Not a dawg. Not a leader. He’s a rookie, but you expect to see some of the above in your QB. He’s far more Teddy than Cam. A QB throwing the ball away on 4th down can lick my ass.
