I don’t think it’s a grand conspiracy. It’s more the refs being indignant and subconsciously biased. Like CRA said, “You’re not old enough to get that call.” That’s a huge red flag. How many times did Denver headshot Cam, 3-4 blatant times I can recall. That’s 3 PFs that would result in first downs. You don’t think that changes the game? Or the fact that officials will routinely throw ticky tack “make up” calls after making a huge mistake the play before. That is also rigging the game through incompetence. Or when the NFL finally allows some penalty’s to be challenged, what do the refs do? They essentially boycott the rule and refuse to overturn the calls on the field. Why? Because they hate being called out. The only way they solve the problem is to allow PI and personal foul to be challengeable.

Sure but nudging the game is as bad as outright rigging it. That’s how they get away with it.

Of course it was a biased game for Manning’s retirement trophy. Cam headhunted multiple times. The Cotchery catch. Denver offsides on both of our missed field goals. The league had it out for Cam and these old school refs looked the other way to let him get punished. This is the NFL. The best of the best. You can’t take a team out of the game at the most crucial moments and expect them to outplay the consequences. It was one of the most one sided games in NFL history.

I mean that’s a fair point. But you would be trading him and then looking for his replacement and we will probably not have a 1st round pick to use. Which I guess you’d bring back Davis. CMC isn’t just another back though. He’s an LT lite for us in what he brings to the table. Great runner, excellent receiver, great blocker and keeps the defense honest. If we don’t have him then that’s like serving Watson steak and potatoes without any steak. If you trade CMC, then would pay top dollar to retain Curtis Samuel?

Lmao what? Watson is not remotely the same kind of runner that Cam was. We lost SB 50 because the NFL rigged the game for Manning to get his retirement trophy. On top of Ron not giving Remmers any help. Burns is a stud but he is also the most expendable and the likely target the Texans would want in return. You attract Watson with CMC, DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, maybe the return of Curtis Samuel. You don’t attract Watson by ridding yourself of CMC, his potential #1 WR in DJ, and then still possibly lose his next #1-2 in Curtis Samuel to FA.

If anyone has to go it would and should be Burns. We can generate a pass rush by committee and bring in specialists. Can’t replace the best RB in the league and the best safety we’ve had in years.
