Cam was most definitely elite in his prime. To say otherwise is ignorant.

Matt Moore was a better QB than Jake Delhomme the moment he joined the team. He deserved a chance to compete with Jake in 08 and would have made us a more complete team. We would have beaten Arizona in the playoffs. Jake was the weak link holding us back that year.

I wouldn’t hate taking a WR but I’m partial to a taking the best DE available. We need to get Burns a counterpart and get a consistent pass rush.

Honestly Delhomme’s meltdown was much worse. Jake was the weak link on a stacked team. Lawrence is a young player and one of the reasons the Jags are in the playoffs

As much as I don't think Carr is a top 5 franchise guy, he can play like a top 10 QB at times. If we aren't trading up we could sign him and take the best DE available at 9.

I want a more explosive offense but you can’t deny that this is a playoff team had Wilks not taken over sooner. Horn being out was the reason we lost to Tampa. Refs stole W’s against the Browns and Falcons. That would have made us a 10 win team. A 10 win team with no real stud opposite Burns, no emerging TE, average at best QB play. The team is talented in the right parts to take the next step. Another solid draft and some stability at QB will make us a scary team. A new HC could squander the talent we have and upend a lot of progress trying to make it “their team”.

I think the problem is we didn’t have our top 2 CB’s. Had we doubled Evans then Godwin would have shredded us. I think they calculated the best bet to win a given situation was to hope Henderson could win a few downs without the scheme catering to him. I understand it cost us, but it might have been the only strategy we had.
