That o-line needs some nasty we haven't really seen since Norwell.
-
It's not really picking on Little, it's pointing out the monumental stupidity that is Marty Hurney's "gut". There's a difference between taking a swing and going all in for broke. Little didn't look the part during combine. It wasn't even close to pretty. He looked horrible. You can't trade up for a guy that can't even get through the drills without looking like it's his first time on ice skates. We couldn't invest in the o-line in that draft because we wasted 3 day 2 picks on Hurney's gut. We could have stayed put, taken McCoy like half the Huddle knew at the time, used one of the 3rds to pick up a guard or 2. He plays guard if Paradis is good, if not, he moves to center. Then there's Grier. Did anyone then or at any point during the month before the draft when we knew Grier was going to be our comp pick, think that he was starter or backup material? I sure as hell didn't. And Hurney refused to trade down because we had to have Brown. Brown's good, but our line is shambles. There were 4 prime tackles available and we ignored them all to stop the run. What good is defense if your offense can't score? No matter how good Brown is if he's on the field all the time he's gonna get tired and we still won't be able to stop the run. Yeah, we hammer on Little because he was a reach and he hasn't improved at all and everyone but the "gut" saw it. But for fug's sake, Hurney shat his pants like he drank 2 gallons of that poopin' juice they give you before a colonoscopy and couldn't make it to the toilet. That's the textbook example of how not to build an offensive line.

Is there anything worse than moving?

Having your friends always call to help them move because you have a truck and enclosed trailer so they won't need a uhaul. -
Ranking the Panthers Rookies(TheAthletic)

Probably just adjusting from college level to NFL. The best players in college he faced are now average or less NFL guys. -
Will Steve Smith be a First Ballot HOF?
SmokinwithWilly replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think there's accomplishment voting when it's not deniable like TB12 will be and then there's some it's this guy's turn voting. That's why I think he may not get in first run through. There may be some voting that end up saying others have been waiting. Not that their merits are greater than Smitty, just the length of the wait, that's all. I kind of see it all as multifaceted process. -

I don't disagree with what you're saying, it's just hard to predict how these guys will vote sometimes. I think he's a first ballot without a doubt, who knows what's in the kool-aid on voting day. -

The only reason I say not yet is there's too many ahead of him right now. They really need to expand the amount of players that qualify to be let in. There's just too many deserving on the list right now and it's causing a log jam -
I've lost 150 lbs using IF and keto. IF is a tool, not a diet. Diet is all about what you eat. IF teaches hormone control. Weight loss is one of many benefits, but autophogy is IMO the biggest and most important one. Cellular recycling is of utmost importance and that only happens after periods of not eating (24 hours or longer) The biggest changes for me. T2 diabetes gone in 6 months Off 3 blood pressure meds, 1 beta blocker, cholesterol med, and anti inflammatory (6 total) Dropped 100 LDL Triglycerides in 90s HDL in 70s Testosterone levels are way up Energy levels up Sleep is amazing. I fall asleep quickly and rejuvenate in 5 hours or less. Chronic inflammation is gone. I've learned how to make my hormones work for me, not the other way around.

If he's got stickem for hands, then having one of those guys willing to go across the middle to move chains can be pretty valuable. I know a lot of people didn't like Bersin, but the guy made the catch when it mattered.

Only thing I can think of for Jax, no red flags involved, is they are happy with their corners and want picks or a player to help out TL. Maybe some OL help or a WR. Maybe picks for next year hoping to double down in the top 10. But with Henderson missing half the season, I don't really see them getting a partner that would be in the top half of the draft.

He's a rookie going from BYU to an NFL team. It's not like learning all these blocking schemes can be done in a matter of a few hours. poo, there's still people thinking Greg Little might make the team. I'm willing to give this guy a chance since we did just draft him after all.

It's either this or actually pay attention to Chuck.

The only thing I could think of is how much worse than Greg Little is he?

He must not have found any good shrooms or a secret farm on his walk through the woods and cornish meadow. -
How much preseason time should Darnold play?
SmokinwithWilly replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not necessarily. Depending on the severity of injury. We still have his 5th year to look and can draft either a QB if we like, draft a top OT, or trade back for extra picks and continue to build through the draft, presuming Grier leads us to a 2 win season. If Philly wanted one of either Rattler or Howell, then they have 3 1sts to play with and I'm sure Fitts would love them. -

As much as possible. On the one hand, the more reps he gets, the better he should be in the new system and we really need that to be the case. On the other hand, if he does get hurt, we're likely looking at a high draft pick for a QB or LT. It's another year lost but I'd rather him get hurt preseason than halfway through the year and end up at pick 8-15 where we just miss out on the elite level talent.- 65 replies

The Good Ole Waiver Wire - Your Friend and Mine
SmokinwithWilly replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Blake Bortles is available. I know, I know. But he's got NFL starter experience. Can win a couple of games in a pinch. And for the right price, would likely be better than PJ or Grier. Question is what would he want for a contract. -
What if you drop it? Are you going to feel deflated?

My toilet is facing New Orleans. May their asses burn with the heat of 1000 Carolina reapers.

Maybe he thought he was supposed to bump and release... except he's not a tight end.
