He was considered a run first QB when he transferred to Kentucky from Penn State. He’s a little old for a rookie, but he’s only been the starting QB for two seasons. The progress he’s made is pretty impressive to get where he is today. At least it shows he’s willing to do the dirty work of the job.

I feel the exact same way. Let’s get some fresh blood in here and get behind the kid.

I tried explaining on the board that all last season he played injured and behind one of the worst lines in the country. That and his coordinator, who has since been fired after one year, was dog poo. But most of this board has made their mind up on him already. I hope if he’s our pick he’s supported like he should be.

My man Will is doing his thing.

I was agreeing with you. Gave you pie and everything

Couch potatoes running their mouths not knowing a thing. Color me shocked

Honestly, I would consider receiver just as big of a need. We have DJ and then mostly question marks.

It was a good year to come out for him. Him or any of the QBs this year would be taken 3rd at best in next years draft.

Per Matt Miller.. Panthers all in on Richardson?
Kentucky Panther replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Posters can say it’s not because of Cam. But reading this thread tells me otherwise. if he’s the pick, I will support him as a Panther. But the Cam comparisons need to stop until he takes some snaps in the NFL. If goes one, it’s all on potential. Cam was taken at one as much more of a complete package. -
For a small guy Bryce has decent hands. Doesn’t seem to be any concern about hand size with any of these QBs like there was with Pickett last year

Darnold would be a great backup. No reason to dismiss or poo on the idea of that. The Panthers wouldn’t be signing him to be the long term starter again.
-
Kyler Murray is a small guy but he’s at least got some thickness to him. Bryce Young is going to be broken in half by some of the defensive linemen in the league.

Nobody should be freaking out that we are meeting with Carr. It was always going to happen, whether the Panthers are very serious about it or just wanting to consider every option available. It makes me feel better, actually, that the team is looking into every possible scenario to see which one could put us in the best position to win. Instead of putting everything into one basket.

I’ve been told by posters on this board that Cam is not the reason they want to draft him. But that is just not reality. This thread is a perfect example.

Gantt indicates the Panthers should bring in Carr
Kentucky Panther replied to TheMaulClaw's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’ve seen quite a few outlets/sports reporters say we would be the perfect situation for him. Kind of hard to disagree. And although I’d prefer a QB from the draft, I think we’d be fine with Carr. He would have the best coach and best defense he’s ever had. Not to mention a solid WR1 and already established run game & offensive line. Would it be enough to win a Super Bowl? Time would tell. But it wouldn’t be the end of the world like some on here make it out to be. -
Todd McShay seems to really like Anthony Richardson

Sounds like a great choice at 9. I trust Reich but there are a ton of red flags with Richardson. I will be happy when we draft a guy one way or the other, so the board can get behind the new kid. -

I have never seen a group of people drool over someone who barely completes half their passes. It’s literally all because we had Cam and they think AR can be the next Cam. In reality, he’s not even close to being as polished as Cam was coming out of school. -

My least favorite of the perceived top four but if it’s who our staff likes, I’m on board.
