  1. He has and voters were taking that into account https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/2022/01/02/matthew-stafford-throws-fourth-pick-six-of-the-season-27th-of-his-career/ https://apnews.com/article/nfl-sports-los-angeles-green-bay-packers-los-angeles-rams-254c20587b9d247c8698e5319949bdd2 You just were saying how average QBs make the pro bowl, so now it’s cause there were HOF QBs in the nfc, do you want me to list all the non HOF QBs who have made pro bowls over the last decade. It’s not hard that’s why it hilarious to even argue that that thinks Stafford is HOF player now Winning isn’t a QB stat yet your whole argument centers around the fact that Stafford just WON the SB. So what is it? A QB most certainly has the most affect of any position whether a team wins or not especially in the regular season. There’s a reason Caldwell had a winning record with Peyton, on that same colts roster that went 2-14. Why does Rivera have a losing record without Cam and winning with him? You bring up defense, you know it’s hard for a defense to be competitive when your QB does nothing for 3 quarters right? That 2017 that you dismiss is a perfect example. Stafford had 100 yards 0 TD going into the 4Q, but yeah let’s blame the defense. And not rushing the ball helped his volume stats which are bolstering his argument nowadays. The lions weren’t even close to the 31st team. They have had better offensive weapons and pass protection than the overwhelming majority of teams in Stafford tenure. It’s not their fault they had an underachieving QB. You are making the same argue me that Darnold fanboys made “hurrr the jets never won a game when Darnold was hurt” that’s doesn’t mean Darnold was any good. Same goes for Stafford, if the lions had a legit franchise changing QB their fortune would have been a whole life different.
  2. Lmao now I know you are not watching the games. Going into the 4Q vs GB the rams were losing 36-17 and Stafford just threw his lead leading pick six. Do you just read the stat sheet and think he had a good game? Lmao let me guess when we played him in 2017 and had an 17 point lead entering the 4Q you also thought he had a good game. It’s like talking to a child, I already stated the pro bowl isn’t the end all be all and there are guys who get snubbed every year. What you clearly keep avoiding is the FACT every single HOF QB has had more than one pro bowl appearance, can’t handle facts. The jags were worse than the lions without Stafford and have been worse over the last 15 years all the data backs that up and now you can’t accept that. So Stafford had a decent coach according to you and he still struggled to beat win I g teams. You have guys like Peyton who took 4 different coaches to a SB and Stafford is out here struggling to get even over .500 and you think he’s a HOFer LMAO
  3. At that same time the voting was coming to and end Stafford was throwing pick sixes left and right, single handily losing games for the rams. And you wonder why he wasn’t voted in. Actually 3-13-1 with a -141 point differential is much better than the jags 3-14 -204 point differential. Stafford had a part in getting those guys fired, don’t forget Caldwell also.
  4. And it started in mid November when Kyler only had one loss as a starter. They just finished with a better record without Stafford…. And who is to say they wouldn’t have drafted a better QB
  5. Yet you still need the pro bowl to make the HOF. Kyler was the leading mvp candidate before he got hurt, at the time of the voting he was clearly having a better season. And more recently the jags have the number 1 pick on back to back seasons. And have picked top 5 in the last 15 years more than any team in nfl history over a 15 year stretch
  6. I dismissed cause it’s supposed to be dismissed, I bring up the pro bowl cause it’s fact. For how much of a joke the pro bowl is you still need to make it more than once in order to be a HOF player, that’s why you avoid the question like a plaque. Pretty sure the jags have been worse than the Lions over the last 15 years, and no I picked two specific games showing the perfect description of Stafford career and why he has gaudy numbers. You see unlike you I don’t view wins or pro bowls as the end all be all, I actually watch football and can tell the difference between a QB being carrried and vice versa. Goff, Dalton, Jimmy G are all the same caliber guys who can win with a loaded roster but will never be the reason you win, Stafford is more talented than these guys but he is not on the caliber of QBs who can carry bad teams clearly showing in his Detroit years. And Stafford has had better weapons than the majority of QBs so it’s not like he was out there with trash I even thought the rams would win, why? Cause they were only a decent QB away. Again the made the SB with Goff.
  7. Who is making the argument for Goff? Check my post history I’ve been said Goff is a game manager that’s holding the rams back. And if you want to go there the lions literally gutted their team in the offseason and Goff was on a per game game basis was slightly worse than Stafford in 2020 and I think Goff is a bottom 10 QB in the league. Lol Bringing up lions regimes from decades ago to prove a point, reach any further and your arms my fall off. That difference between a real franchise QB and Stafford who is a good talented QB. You need to able to make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t, Stafford couldn’t. He had a bunch meaningless comebacks against bad team, congrats to Stafford. You want me to bring Stafford record against winning teams? You want to pinpoint Stafford career in a 2 week period, go back to 2017. Facing an average bengals week 16 in playoff contention Stafford sh*ts the bed and gets eliminated from contention, next week vs the worst packers team in a decade with Rodgers in IR, he goes for 350 yards and 3 TD, so those stats you bring up look nice. Nope Dalton is not HOF worthy and neither is Stafford. Btw Dalton pro bowl appearances are mostly as reserve. Now go find me a QB who has made the the pro bowl with 1 pro bowl. Still waiting
  8. We are closer the lions than the rams, he would probably be picking 15 with Stafford
  9. That’s what I thought, you couldn’t find one so you go on this diatribe about the Lions. Apparently Stafford is without blame for all those bad lions teams. Stafford was the garbage time king for a good 5 to 7 years of course his stats are gonna look good, not to mention he’s on pace to obliterate the pass attempt record. The rams made the SB with Goff ffs, anything short of a ring would been a massive failure.
  10. Name a QB over the last decade that has made it to the HOF with one pro bowl I’ll wait
  11. He has one pro bowl, no way in hell is he even close to a HOF player.
  12. He’s gonna be the best QB in this class.
  13. This is the definition of recency bias. Mac Jones by many sources was considered a second round QB last year with a very limited ceiling now all of a sudden he’s better than everyone in this class. Matt Corral played Jones in 2020 and even the announcers where pointing out the difference in QB play, Corral was head and shoulders above Mac. Go look up what they said about the 2017 Class https://www.nfl.com/news/2017-nfl-draft-trubisky-leads-qb-class-lacking-elite-talent-0ap3000000799332
  14. I’m getting 2017 class vibes All those guys outside of Geno where average college QBs. Meanwhile Corral, Pickett and Howell have all broke school records
  15. No they didn’t. Both teams self imploded
  16. The patriots are more aggressive than the average nfl team, only a handful of teams have come close to being that active among swinging for big name players. The panthers are the other hand we’re content signing unknown players who have never sniffed a pro bowl. Kalil isn’t a WR.
  17. The bengals have been outplayed the last 2 games, I think their luck runs out vs the rams
  18. The patriots are way more aggressive in trades in free agency the panthers have been over the past decade. They take flyers on big names like Moss, Antonio Brown, Josh Gordon, traded for Brandin Cooks. They signed Revis and Gilmore the two most expensive big name DB in the market at the time. The panthers most expensive WR signing in the last decade was Robby Anderson at 2 years 20 million before that was Russell Shepard.
  19. So the bucs will join the rest of the league while having a SB ring, meanwhile the other teams.... Again in this league you have a short window so you better strike, the panthers learned that the hard way. Yeah look at the Bengals I bet they will be aggressive in free agency going forward knowing any second a pass rusher can come in there and end Burrow season. Perfect example is the packers they have had two generational top 10 maybe top 5 Qb's ever and only have 2 SB to show for it, why? cause they are a bunch of frugal build by the draft morons. Add its the reason rodgers is leaving
  20. It’s not a myth more if an excuse cheap front offices use to tell fans
  21. What does that matter if they win it all? In The NFL a injury can happen anytime might as well go for it now. With Mcvay I doubt they will go through a huge downfall
