The biggest hurdle to trading Bryce isn't the compensation but the salary Cap implications and the acceleration of his remaining money. Almost 10 mil in dead cap for a team that has 1.3 million in cap space. Hes not going anywhere this year. Barring a miraculous turnaround down the stretch he also won't be here for training camp next year.

Deserve? Tough word. Nobody "deserves" anything in the NFL. Bryce still showed the same flaws he's shown his entire career. His physical limitations are what they are. The two point conversion, he drifted back and to the right causing the sack because he's 9 yards behind where the pocket should be. The big 3rd down conversion over the middle to XL was a duck with no zip on it. The 3rd down play XL got hurt on was late and had no zip. Gave the defender time to get him behind the line of scrimmage. That said I will credit him for making the deep throws today. That pass off David Moore was about as perfect as perfect can be, as was the sideline strike to XL. They ended up being 0-2 with a pick in the stat book but those were winning plays right there. More of that. Good things happen when we push the ball deep. It's no coincidence that the running game picked up in the 2nd half when we started pushing the ball. The game as a whole was a C+ for him. We win this one going away with Andy imo and Dalton is still going to give us a far better look at evaluating our receivers because of his arm talent but I think if the team isn't in danger of revolting like they were week 2, you put Bryce out there in Germany.

No shot the defense holds

No doubt that Bryce is the coach killer but Frank did get the benefit of year 1 Bryce with no film on him and his deficiencies. Those averages got a LOT lower after our Bye week and a big reason why he didn't make it through the season. Id think the reason they haven't lost all their games by double digits is their defense, which is why I'd argue they don't have the worst roster in the NFL but that's semantics I guess. Offensively though, hard agree. Trash offensive roster full of JAGs. Enjoy the rest of your evening brother.

If you take out the 2 games that Bryce started this season and look at our last 4 games (to better judge what Canales wants to do) against Reichs first 6 its not even close. This years offense leads in all of the following: Total YPG 359 > 294 Scoring 22 > 18 ppg Rushing YPG 130 > 98 Passing YPG 229 > 196 Is it still a small sample size? Yes. Are the offensive line and weapons better than 2023? Yes. Is this still the worst roster in football? Yes. Is the 2023 defense on pace to be one of the worst defenses in the history of the NFL? Also yes. Canales ain't the reason we're not winning games right now.

He doesn't coach the defense and made the ballsy (and correct) choice to bench Bryce after 2 games. Not sure wtf more you could ask out of a first year coach at this point in the season. We've been in the last 2/3 games with Andy at QB this season and won the first. If this defense could get more than 2 stops a game we'd probably have beaten Atlanta and Cincinnati. The offense shouldn't have to play perfect football and score every possession to have a chance to win the game. We've got a ton of problems and holes to fill going into the off-season/draft next year but I feel pretty comfortable (and relieved) in saying that Head Coach is not one of those.

As someone who just popped their hamstring 2 weeks ago, they're a bitch. Nasty bruising and swelling but the fact he was walking without crutches or assistance is a good sign. Means its likely more a low grade to moderate tear (strain) rather than a complete tear detaching from the bone. I'd bet he's out for 3-4 weeks.

Steph would be my guess. Does seem vague. Wonder if there is some behind the scenes talk of selling the team. I'd believe it when I see it.

None of last season matters and Bryce undoubtedly shares some blame in why there have nene 3 coaches and playcallers. Oline combinations? Every team has different combos throughout the season. Injuries happen. All of those issues are masked with good QB play. Bryce is damaged goods at this point. An average QB would be moving the ball in this offense. A number 1 overall pick should be thriving in it.

Justin Fields looked pretty damn good Sunday but there is a good chance he never gives up that starting spot and plays himself into a long term deal in Pittsburgh. The Vet QB market doesn't look that enticing this year. If they don't go the reclamation project route with guys like Zac Wilson, Trey Lance or Justin Fields there really isn't much there. One name to keep an eye on would be Drew Lock. Honestly I wouldn't be opposed to trading late round draft picks for a guy like Sam Howell either.

It's not like Andy fugin Dalton is suddenly going to lead us on a Flacco like resurgence into the playoffs. Were getting the number 1 pick regardless who plays QB. I just want to watch entertaining football again so I can feel anything other than apathy on a Sunday afternoon. Dalton at least means we'd lose 31-24.

Gonna be a long next 3.5 months. At this point I just wonder when I'll have mentally checked out and start doing something else with my Sundays.

They know it's a rebuild. You just can't say that publicly. Could you imagine if they did? A team with our track record the last 7 years coming out and saying the last 2 rebuilds didn't work so it's time for a rebuild of a rebuild of a rebuild. Man people would quit showing up to games and you'd be able to buy tickets to the games for a dollar apiece. Oh wait.

I actually had the Seahwaks game from 2015 pop up in my recommended on YouTube yesterday and went down a rabbit hole reliving the good ole days. Offensively, the roster now is better. Cam > Bryce Stew > Chuba Ginn < Diontae Cotch < Thielen Philly < XL Olsen > Sanders OL = OL (Oher, Kalil only obvious upgrades but Moton >>>>>> Remmers) Jury is still out on Canales, it's been one game, but I have a hard time believing the offensive playcalling would ever be as stale and conservative as it was under Ron/Shula. All in all, with 2015 Cam on this Roster we're putting up points, and a lot of them. Defensively though, yikes... I don't known that a single person on this defense would start over that 2015 team except maybe Brown over Star, Woods over Harper and Horn over Peanut and those last 2 I'm not 100% on. All in all it probably looks a lot like Cams rookie season. 28+ points a game, setting the world on fire Offensively and breaking records but we can't stop a nose bleed on the other end and lose a bunch of close games 35-31. I'd still watch though and most importantly I'd have hope for the future.

This is not entirely accurate. If Tua is medically cleared to return to football and decides on his own to retire like Luke did then he would give up the 124 million in guaranteed money remaining on his contract. If he is *not* medically cleared to return to football and essentially forced into retirement he then would have a claim to the remaining 124 million in guaranteed money. I would have to imagine given the salary cap implications of option 2 they would probably come to terms on some type of cutom settlement to resolve that.

In all seriousness, I hope Tua is okay. He's had 2 of the 4 scariest concussions I've ever seen on a football field (Luke and Case Keenum being the others) Somethings are bigger than football.

The Delhomme 5 int game against Philly takes the cake. Followed the 4 int debacle against AZ in the playoffs. We were supposed to be good, that playoff meltdown was the abnormality. Instead it cemented our windows was nailed shut. That said this was embarrassing. Only 16 more weeks till Bryce Young can get the fug off this roster.

I have been very vocal in my disdain for Plummer from the moment he signed as an UDFA so I get it lol. That said, this year teams are allowed to have a 3rd QB dressed and allowed to play on Sundays who does not need to be on the 53, or even the GameDay active list. League basically wants to avoid situations like when the 9ers played CMC at QB for the 4th quarter against the Eagles because Purdy and Johnson went down. With that I don't think we carry 3 QBs on the active roster but I do hope we bring in one on the PS who is not Plummer.
