  1. Wonnum has been very impressive so far, a really great signing.
  2. I thought he looked great in that game. If he can continue to play like that, maybe there’s a chance? Hopefully this continues and doesn’t become a one off.
  3. I respect your opinion (which is a very positive one, so good for you), but in my mind this was his first good game. I would even say a very good game. The previous two games were less bad than before, but not good compared to the average QB. The bar has been so incredibly low, so any improvement is somehow considered “a good game”. But again, yesterday was very good, and hopefully he can have more of those.
  4. I’m not a believer, but I think he looked very good yesterday.
  5. Panthers are starting 2 rookies at WR, 1 rookie at TE, 1 rookie LB, 1 rookie at nickel etc. Not sure what else they could do to “tank harder”. Not playing the young guys would be moronic.
  6. If they were tanking they would have kept playing him
  7. Nix is a 6’2’’ quarterback with a strong arm. If Bryce magically grows a few inches taller and somehow acquires a strong arm, maybe he can do the same thing. But that would be a medical miracle, so I wouldn’t bet on it.
  8. This seems really straightforward. But let’s not have facts get in the way of some good speculation.
  9. This year is probably one of the least important ones in a couple of years to pick first. There is currently a group of players in the top 10. And even when it is a so called clear no 1, that player don’t seem to pan out. e.g. Lawrence, Young, Williams etc. I’d rather not pick first to be honest.
  10. First Coker manhandle Burns, next cut Legette blocks him out of the picture. Hilarious to watch. I’m so glad we didn’t pay him. https://x.com/baldynfl/status/1856137993314029994?s=46&t=zdFLMqd3t9b2DcvnHsC-IA
  11. I had no idea Chargers and Vikes used 3-4 tbh. Steelers have traditionally used a very large NT. Maybe times are changing? I still prefer a big guy at NT though.
  12. My main problem is that Evero “doesn’t believe in the traditional gargantuan NT”. He likes a smaller type NT. It is really weird but it was said multiple times when we hired him. I think the 3-4 can work, but you need a monster NT.
  13. Williams, while being superior to Bryce in terms of physical attributes, had some of the same concerns, e.g. limited play in the pocket and holding on to the ball forever while running around waiting for someone to get open.
  14. I agree, if we move to a 4-3, I would look hard for a 4-3 end.
  15. He has the potential to be an exceptional edge rusher/OLB in a 3-4 defense. I would like to see his size confirmed to make sure he is big enough, but if so, he could be a really good choice if we pick 10th.
  16. One thing that Canales has done that is a difference maker is the offensive line coaching staff and system. Yes we added two great guards, but everyone is looking better this year. Even our backups look good. We haven’t had that in a long time, and that is worth a lot!
  17. Wonnum looked good against the pass and the run, and that was exciting to see. Weak opponents sure, but he looked great for his first game back after all his setbacks this year. Makes a massive difference for Clowney as well as teams can’t only focus on him.
  18. I’m really happy we won, but also very underwhelmed with Bryce. They are not mutually exclusive.
  19. I mean he had 126 yards vs. the worst team in the league. The one thing he didn’t do was straight up costing us the game. And yes he looks better, but he’s still very far from good. Chuba and the defense won this one.
  20. Super early, and Giants, but Wonnum is of to a very good start
  21. It’s his specialty, the unblocked sack.
  22. Oh, like Big 10 with Oregon and SEC with Texas? For shame lol
  23. Agree, Canales sees the limitations of Bryce and even if he shows some improvements, he is too limited for long term success. And this is one of the reasons I like Canales, he seems like a no nonsense guy when it comes to the players as in the player giving us the best chance to win plays.
  24. This was a breakout season for Chuba, you never know what will happen with a new coaching staff. They didn’t know at the time of the draft, so they drafted another RB high. But that shouldn’t prevent them from adapting and feeling like Chuba is worth investing in now that they’ve seen what he can do. It gives us a potentially very strong 1-2 punch. Letting old decisions dictate what you do moving forward is not a successful way to manage a team, or manage anything for that matter. The argument that “now that we know we shouldn’t have drafted Brooks” is pretty ridiculous as we didn’t know at the time
