  1. Detroit is the wildcard for me. I think they’ll trade with a team looking for a QB. But if not they might take Sewell. Nightmare scenario if Sewell gets past Cindy.
  2. This would be an awesome problem to have. And I think our QB coach is next man up
  3. Thank you for sharing a different opinion and “justifying” why. There is way too much name calling and yelling at huddle in general. My opinion differs from yours, but that’s what makes a good discussion.
  4. The below link has all offensive snaps from three different Northwestern games. Fun to watch Slater. Admittedly not an O-line expert, but man does he move well. His second level run blocking is awesome, on top of really good pass blocking. He definitely feels like a drop in instant starter at LT. Would be a perfect fit for us. https://draftwire.usatoday.com/2021/02/27/2021-nfl-draft-rashawn-slater-northwestern-film-room-video/
  5. In my opinion we have to come away from round 1 with one of the three elite LTs. I wouldn’t risk trading back. I hear people saying names in round 2 such as Eichenberg (btw his arms are 32 3/8...) and Leatherwood (who was abused by speed rushers), but that’s not good enough. We might as well just keep Trent Scott there if that is the case. We have a chance to come away with a very good LT for the next 10 years, it is a no brainer!
  6. This was enlightening and also speaks to what a terrible coach Gase is
  7. What’s your hesitation about Slater at LT? I’m not good at judging o-line, so I have to lean on “draft experts”. Curious what’s holding you back? great list btw
  8. If we come out of the draft with Sewell or Slater, I’ll be super excited. Think Darnold can do fairly well behind a good O-Line and our RB/WRs
  9. Between Pitts, Slater and Sewell, we will get a fantastic prospect. Going to hope QBs at every pick before ours. Should be a really exciting draft. Bonus: we don’t have to worry about drafting Mac Jones!!!
  10. I saw that Sewell had the infamous 33 arms everyone freaks out about. I personally don’t care in his case, but will it make him drop a few more spots to us?
  11. Hard no to Mond. A 45 game starter shouldn’t have that many issues. The upside we see based on tools etc. in fairly inexperienced QBs doesn’t apply. We know who he is at this point.
  12. 100% agree with this. He has started 45 games!!! He should not be this up and down at this point. If he only had one season as a starter, I could see going for his upside based on his arm etc. But he has proven who he is at this point.
  13. I know it is very optimistic, but as of now, I feel Pitts to Atl and Chase to Bengals makes the most sense. Dolphins desperately needs weapons for Tua, so WR also makes sense. Detroit is a wild card, no doubt.
  14. Haha, yeah I don’t know how to change the topic, but it sure was a typo
  15. I feel like the draft is starting to turn our way in terms of the extreme performances we are seeing from Pitts and the WR group. Right now I see us getting a QB (Fields or Lance) or Sewell at 8, which would be an absolute home run
  16. What a great signing this have turned out to be. I was not impressed when it happened, but happy that I was completely wrong.
  17. After the initial surprise, I’ve come around on this one. Mac seems like a very good fit for Shanahan. So I can buy that. I don’t see a defensive player worth the 4th pick, so if I was the Falcons I would go with Pitts, that would elevate Ryan for the next couple of years. Too early to go for a rookie QB for them, Ryan has at least 3-5 years less.
  18. Haha, I’ve had the same thing happen to me, Jalen in the 2nd round. I’ve always though he was a 1st round guy, but maybe not.
  19. Don’t like Mond at all, only seen a few games but he is all over the place. If he was a starter for only one season, I could see him as having upside, but he has started 45 games, he is who he is, and that is not worth wasting a 2-3 rounder on. This is Will Grier all over again. One QB I could see taking a chance on in round 3 or later is David Mills from Stanford. High upside with limited play time due to injuries, looked awesome on his pro day.
  20. Assuming we get a QB with the first pick without losing our 2nd rounder, what are the top LT options for us? I like the athleticism of James Hudson and D’Ante Smith, they feel like high upside guys that in the mold of Saints Terron Armstead (he also needed some development when drafted).
