I can't recall a single time CMC absolutely embarrassed a team, let alone a single player, like Steve Smith vs Fred Smoot. That poo was free comedy and it was like it's own side arc.

Either it works itself out or there's lingering pain there that will require some work (lul)

Steve Smith would tell you he's about to make you wish you never played football and then go for 150+ and 3 TDs. CMC is not that guy. CMC is dominant in his own right but Smitty in his prime was straight up terrifying. Vast difference in intensity which translated into plays.

It's not about talent, it's skill set. In my mind it's X: Moore, Shenault Flank: Marshall, Higgins Slot: Smith That's the depth as I see it. Could Smith play flanker? Maybe sure but I think you're better off working mismatches or pulling safeties attention with him.

Our OL is so much better than anything else recently. But watch tape. Moton has been getting worked in pass protection. Talking ball snapped, now the edge rusher has gotten four yards of depth. Elflein is a fuging tragedy a lot of the time. I have lost count the number of times he is just pushed into the QBs lap. Our guards are both decent/serviceable. Can be improved upon but it's not as necessary as replacing Moton and Elflein. Pff can say whatever about Moton. Average at best RT, and there's too many good edge rushers in this league to have an average tackle on either side. Icky is a rookie so he gets the year off from harsh criticism and gets to eat up praise where it's earned. He's played well week to week, showing improvement. A few mental/communication lapses have resulted in pressures but again, he's a rookie. If anybody thinks this OL is fine for anything beyond this season, you're fooling yourselves.

Keep a few throwaway guys that you don't mind getting ejected. Every dirty hit has a consequence.

Well when you handcuff the QB you trot out to not throwing farther than 10 yards, you have an OL that randomly let's rushers 4 yards into the backfield on the snap, you have WRs and TEs that drop half their balls....you'll have that.

He's a team cancer. Wouldn't even arrange a return trip for him. Tell him to get there on his own and do it better than the team since he acts like he's better than the team anyway

While I disagree with Wilkes doing it, I think I get it. Say he burns a timeout, fights to get a fg before half. Say that goes badly, we turn it over. Now PJ has his confidence shaken and they have a chance at points + ball after the half. It's coward's ball but it might be the move. Defense has been stellar, no need to press. Still wish we had given ourselves at least a first down shot, but oh well.

This team is actually playing at the level that we all expected them to in the off season. Are we a playoff team with Wilkes having the reigns from the start of the season? Probably not. So we look like a competitive team all year and look primed for next season? Absolutely.

The NFL players need to have a code very similar to hockey code. If you do certain things....there are consequences.

Guys, ask yourselves what is more likely. Steve Wilkes, once failed head coach, known good defensive coach influenced McAdoo to make better play calls Or Matt Rhule, known micro manager, confirmed to make the social media department's lives hell, influenced McAdoo negatively.

Woke up and got to work and now that I'm settled, hearing the Canes win to start the road trip is a great way to start the day.

He's the one guy I said we'd probably trade early if he didn't start producing but I'm glad he found his game again tonight. Let's hope he keeps at it. Svech looks primed to finally take that next step. That's going to be interesting to watch this season.

I absolutely love this franchise, these players, this fan base. So much effort from the boys tonight, and the crowd never let up.
