fuging love this pick. If you say he uses his hands too much watch literally any Pro Bowl press man DB in the NFL. Dude is a machine. Loves competition anf constantly got better. He wasn't making it past Dallas.

I mean before they got Jimmy G, Lynch asked about TB12. Doesn't hurt to see if they couldn't sell the farm for Rodgers. Him and the Packers are going through some commitment issues. This had nothing to do with them not liking the QBs in this draft and Rodgers being the amoung the best QBs in the league.

What Are You Going To Be Upset About If We Draft A
Rags replied to OceanPanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Parsons. I strongly think he is the mkst overrated prospect in the 1st. -
Again, don't disagree. But there's also a great consensus that the draft gets weaker and weaker at a lot of positions after the top 12~ players. I wouldn't take him -- say Horn and Surtain are both gone, I'd take Newsome and Kelvin Joseph (pending a character check) if I were the Panthers GM over Farley even without the injury concerns -- but if he's high on someones draft board they may not see much of a risk of Farley over some other guy.
-
I honestly think that Greg Newsome is a better corner anyway and he's gaining a LOT of steam. I think he's a bigger threat for Farely falling to the 2nd over his back. That's just my take anyway. Farley is enticing but the injury concerns and him being more raw than Surtain, Horn and Newsome and Kelvin Joseph make him my CB5.
-
Thanks Kratos997 I mean I'd love the pick but uh
-
Parsons. Very raw. Much better LBs in the draft. Also Horn and Surtain both use their hands very, very well for press man corners. Watch CBs like Ramsey and Ward. Might get some flags but they're gonna make the guy they're lined up against work for 60 minutes. Espcially Horn. Love him.

What 1st round position do you NOT want to see drafted
Rags replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Based on the talent in this draft relative to where we're picking LB and DL But if we trade back there's some good LBs in the 20ish range I wouldn't mind. -
None of what you said is even remotely accurate. Chinn was always going to be our "buffalo nickel", like Adams or Simmons, a Will LB/S hybrid. That is nothing like ET (single high saftey) or Ed Reed (Luke but as a Safteys) playstyle and only the blindest of homers would think that.

I have the ability to think for myself. You're literally just reaching for things to be mad about in a presser. Congrats you predicted 5 wins. Welcome to the crowd. Everyone saw this coming.
-
You mean like the 49ers made it no secret all off season they wanted to upgrade from Jimmy G? Or are you just gonna keep bending quotes and ignoring happenings around the leauge to fit your angry narritive.
-
Way to say what Rhule meant but try to prop yourself up in the meantime.
-
Calling it, if a guy like Pitts, Chase or Smith is on the board we'll take them even if Sewell is there.
-
It'd be easier for me to list who I don't want because there's more that'd make me happy than unhappy the Parsons - Not a mike in today's NFL. Nore Anthony Barr than anything close to resembling Luke. Just as middling in coverage as Shaq is and takes himself out of the play way too often for me to feel safe taking him at 8. Has tremendous upside, i just think drafting him would be a square peg in a round hole type of deal. Caleb Farley - Easily CB3 behind Horn and Surtain. Reminds me of DJax where he's an athlete playing DB and his athleticism bails him out. Also good upside, i just think he is extremely raw. Anything on the D-line/pass rush - Weak d-line class and we're actually looking good in our front 7 right now. Even if there's a possible BPA there I would pass on it. Mac Jones - Eh? At this point with Sammy here I think their ceiling is pretty similar at this point. Much rather develop Sam since we got him than have him and Mac battle it out. Anything else would be fuging gravy.

Not a fan of trading up esp in this draft and esp esp after trading for Darnold.
-
I cannot understate how strong I think this top 10-13 is. I'd be ecstatic with either of the top OTs, Horn or any of the top 3 receiving prospects. Pitts can definitely grow more as a TE but he is a force lined up outside. His route running is PHENOMENAL for a guy his size and with D.J. Robby and CMC we'd have one of the most potent passing offense in the NFL.

Breer talks about Gase (and Tannehill; oh, and Darnold)
Rags replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
i quoted this to respond to this and debate some points but once I realized it was gooby who I'm certain only has anger and pessimism as his emotional states I just laughed instead. -
Has the trade for Sam Darnold changed your outlook on the 2021 season?
Rags replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh poo I came here to post my take and we got a gotdamn bet happening. -
Jake II is a good comparison. I'm hoping he can develop like a Jay Cutler and just be enough for us to win games. But who knows. Football is one of the hardest sports to predict RN.
-
So were Josh Allen's. I'm not expecting him to be great right away but hopefully our coaching staff can iron out the kinks. If not oh well. We'll live.
-
He absolutely is If he makes it past 5 he's either a Lion if hes their BPA or a Panther.
-
Now Darnold makes a ton of dumb mistakes and has the Wentz habbit of trying to be Pat M/Arod, and my biggest concern is his pre snap reading ability, but there's far more capable people than me that have pointed out how bad consistently fuging bad the Jets playcalling was and how routinely his weapons let him down. If he's coachable and shows improvement I'll be happy. Much like Wentz though it was a perfect storm of bullshit.
