  1. Burrow was throwing every game to Justin Jefferson AND Jamarr Chase during his title season - who are now 2 of the best 5 receivers in the NFL. Terrace Marshall as well. That team was loaded all around. I'll forgive Stroud for a loss when his defense allowed 530 yards with 250 on the ground.
  2. You're really using Daniel Jones as an example of someone that's good, but downplaying Tua and Hurts' success?
  3. It's the same idea - you're saying to scout schools rather than players. Aaron Rodgers is a perfect example, most of his fall on draft day was because he was viewed as a product of Jeff Tedford's system who was known for having QBs that put up video game numbers in college then sucked in the pros. I hope our scouts do a little more due dilligence then simplifying it to your level.
  4. I don’t get why this is so hard for people to understand.
  5. I’m sure in some galaxy what you are posting makes sense to someone.
  6. Those guys all played in super bowls in 2010 or after and were drafted #1 or 2 overall which is what he said. Guess we need to move the goalposts further away my guy.
  7. Peyton Manning went three times? Eli Manning? Matt Stafford?
  8. Who was the best nfl qb that played for Texas tech before mahomes? What about Wyoming before Josh allen? LSU before Joe Burrow? Oregon before Justin Herbert? Cal before Aaron Rodgers? Michigan before Brady?
  9. No he didn’t , lol. Lost by 24 points with pick sixes on back to back drives. He did have a long TD pass to huddle legend David gettis. https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/gameId/301121029
  10. Nothing against you, just seems like the poster I quoted only read your initial post suggesting him and insinuated that everyone is on a bandwagon to get him after this game, when the overwhelming majority of people here were saying otherwise.
  11. Literally no one is saying they want him in this thread, other than the OP, lol
  12. I want whoever it is throwing screen passes to Shi Smith and to Ian Thomas in triple coverage
  13. The last coach I remember turning down a head coaching for a promotion (where another HC job wasn't available) was Josh McDaniel for the Colts. I bet the Raiders wish he turned them down too.
  14. Hurts is playing well. Like fields he showed flashes early but got the typical “he can’t pass and is just a running qb bs” that so many try people try to pigeonhole qbs like him as. Luckily the eagles didn’t listen to people that thought the team should move on, and instead built around him. They trade for AJ Brown, draft Devonta Smith and put a staff around him that built around his strengths and what do you know, he can actually play.
  15. To me any analytical discussion about QBs and where they should be drafted shouldn't include anything before 2011. This is is when the rookie salary cap was implemented. The last year before the rookie salary cap was implemented, Sam Bradford signed a 6 year contract for 78 million with 50 million in guarantees as the number one overall pick. Cam got 22 million for 4 years one year later. This makes a HUGE difference in roster construction and makes it easier to draft another QB shortly after if you don't see that your guy is cutting it.
  16. There’s no need to use hyperbole. Steichen is good, but Herbert “looks like crap” because he’s a) playing with broken ribs for almost the whole season (without missing any time) b) had his #1 receiver play 3 quarters of football all season and his #3 receiver has played in 3 games. c) lost his #2 receiver last month. d) lost his pro bowl left tackle for the season in week 3 e) #1 TE is out in addition to the #2 TE This of course doesn’t even touch how much their defense is banged up too. But yeah, If Shane was still there, none of that would matter?
  17. we know you love to talk to text when you get a chance to spit those hot takes “on them runnin QBs”. hE JuSt ThRoWs A bEtTeR bALL!!
  18. Unless this guy’s source is Garry Cobb, I’m not buying it
