  1. You hear the arguments all the time. People who believe that the best college team in the country could take on the worst NFL team and win. I think this reasoning is absurd. Absolutely ridiculous. Not only would the Panthers team win, but they would win by 20 or 30 more points. They would most likely have a shutout and would probably come close to 400 yards of total offense. Here's why: Every single college football team, no matter how good this team is, has a weakness at some position. It's probably not going to be at any of the skill positions, like quarterback, running back, or wide receiver. It's probably going to be one of the lineman or maybe a defensive back. But one of the players on the college team is going to be a big weakness. The transition from college to the NFL is not an easy step. Fantastic players in college don't just become superstars in the NFL. Many struggle to even perform as average players.. .Every man on the Panthers roster has played college football before. Every man on their roster could go back to the game of college football and dominate. They could probably set records. An NFL team is comprised of the best of the best in college football. The top college players go on to the National Football League. The rest live a normal life, with a normal job. Players in the NFL are too good and have too much experience to lose to 20 and 21-year-olds. NFL scrubs were the best of the best in college. NFL starters were unbelievable players in college. NFL superstars were usually among the greatest players in college football history. Your average starting lineman for a No. 1 college team will not even make the NFL. If he does, he probably won't be a productive starter. If the college guys had a chance anywhere, it would be at the skill positions. But seriously? Does any NFL player come into the league and make an immediate impact? A few do. A very few do. But the majority of players will sit on the bench for a year or two before being thrust into the game. They're just not ready, physically and mentally. The linemen would be completely dominated. Many would sustain injuries during the game as well. The receivers would be physically dominated as well, especially going across the middle for passes. The running backs would struggle running up the middle, and the quarterback would be physically battered. The NFL team is so physically dominant that you could take the 22 best college players in the nation and I do not believe that they would emerge victorious. Not a chance.
  2. Sad but true. Now he is in Washington and probably helping fug them up with his brainless acts.
  3. I hope the report that Rhule will be gone is true, which would be a good thing. However, I am not counting on it and getting my hopes up because the Panthers have a current history of doing the opposite of what would be good for the team going forward.
  4. I will personally not boo anyone connected with the Panthers but being a fellow diehard Panthers Fan, i can understand where others probably boo to vent flustrations because they are also diehard Panthers fans and the product that's been put on the field the last several years flustrates all of us.
  5. I had no idea Rhule did that sneaky act after Tepper offered him one whale of a deal. Fug him,it will be one happy day when i see his azz leave Charlotte N.C, just hope it is sooner rather than later..
  6. Hmmmm! Now that we have learned that meatballs are Teppers weakness and possible Achilles Heel, maybe we can keep him stuffed with them, allowing us to show him how a football team should be built because it's obvious to one and all the present plan is not working.
  7. The Panthers don't have to attempt to tank, all they have to do is show up the next two remaining games to be assured of closing the season with two final losses.
  8. If Rhules plan is working, it has to be one of the best kept secrets in modern history.
  9. I was at the Panthers vs Patriots SuperBowl in Houston and will never forget the streaker on the football field that went from the Panthers sideline toward the Patriots sideline just before the second half started . All of us fans had special Super Bowl cushions at our seats with a pouch in front containing a program and a little radio/headset. As soon as I set down in my seat for the second half, the excited radioo announcer came on the little radio wondering why one of the officials was taking his clothes off. Just then the naked fake official, who was the actual streaker, took off running, chased by security that had trouble gaining on him but finally he decked flat on his rear by a Patriots linebacker that close lined him.
  10. I tried keying on Brady Christensen the entire game and the time Shaq Barrett beat him was the only time he got beat that i saw. Meanwhile, in a positive light, I saw Brady put Shaq Barrett flat on his back once and manhandle him or anyone else that he was responsible to block. Most of the pressure i saw from Tampa Bay came straight up the gut or on stunts.
  11. I can see the headlines now. " Panthers Game So Bad It Made Fan Loses Their Mind."
  12. Exactly. There is just not that many high grade offensive lineman available to chose from in free agency! That is why the Panthers need to go heavy in this years draft for offensive linemen, even if they have to trade a good player our two to obtain more picks.
  13. Their games plans suck and their half time adjustments are worse and mostly nonexistent.
  14. That is a great post with detailed logic that makes a lot of sense but don't expect the current Panthers brain trust to do any thing that makes that much sense.
  15. You are probably correct. The home game Sunday may be the last time Cam will play here in front of the Panther fans.
  16. That would work if the Panthers could Cam to agree .
  17. I could go along with signing Cam for 2 million or less but i question if he would be open to that type of a deal?
  18. The Panthers will already be paying Sam over 18 million next year, i doubt if they would be willing to pay an additional 10 to 12 million for a situation quarterback.
  19. Sam Darnold may no longer be the guy for the job for the Panthers, but the team did exercise his fifth-year option for 2022. With this being the case, he at least deserves a longer look once he can return from his injury. Ideally, the Panthers could just cut ties. But they made the decision to commit and must live with it now. Cam Newton is not the same player and his is the toughest reason of all for Panthers fans to accept. Newton is just not the same player he was back when he was MVP and took the team to the Super Bowl. He was beaten out by Mac Jones in New England and there is a reason the Panthers moved on in the first place. It is easy to think resigning Newton would ensure he turns the team around like he has done in the past. However, he only threw for eight touchdowns in 15 games last season. Add in the reality of showing up next year on a team facing so much needed to rebuild, he is just not the elite guy for the job.
  20. It is a low point for our team and hurts to know that the "Clown" Skip Bayless was right when he called the Panthers a "Clown Show".
  21. That is true but Tepper like most NFL owners makes most of his money from another business, so owning an NFL football team is usually a part-time job. I feel that all the good NFL owners delegate to a team President, who is responsible for running the team on a day-to-day basis. However, there are still things the owner has to take a “hands-on” approach to: Strategic planning.
