  1. The Next James Bond Not sure how I feel about this. I mean, I guess he has the looks but I feel like his voice is softer then previous Bonds. Admittingly, I haven't seen him act before so it will be interesting to see.
  2. Didnt I read somewhere that we were interested in Kafka as the next Head Coach? So careful what you ask for lol
  3. Question: how is taking off a helmet BEYOND the goal post considered "excessive celebrating" but yet when the Bengals had big moments on defense and decided to taunt in the end zone, it's not considered excessive celebrating???
  4. I know but after today's game, will Steichen actually want Wilks? Or is this a case where Wilks is a better coordinator?
  5. Shane Steichen/ Mike Zimmer combo anyone???
  6. I would honestly keep him on as a DC/AHC role and keep Al Holcomb as LBers Coach... Especially if they bring in a guy like Dorsey but, of course, that would depend on Wilks actually willing to stay on if he does no get the job.
  7. Ummm I've been a long time member of this forum... Me disagreeing does not equate me a troll lol
  8. Are you kidding me? I am a long time bulldogs fan ( had to in order for me to marry my wife who is a ln avid dawg fan) and I can tell you that Bennett is about as pro-ready as you can get them....
  9. The question I have is who Wilks would bring in to replace Macadoo if he is named permanent HC?
  10. One name to keep a name a name on that no one is talking about is Giants OC, Mike Kafka. I remember seeing an article that states that he could be in play for the HC position here. I wouldn't be mad about it due to the fact that he is a former QB himself and is an Andy Reid disciple and helped a lot with the development with Mahomes and now seems to be on track with turning around Jones' career.
  11. In another thread about an article posted by Jason LaConfora (sp?). It was stated that one name a lot of folks are not talking about that could be a real possibility is Mike Kafka, currently OC with the Giants and former QB coach for the Chiefs. Honestly, I wouldn't be mad with Kafka because, after all, he helped with the development of Patrick Mahomes and now looks like he his getting Daniel Jones back on track.
  12. Something else to ponder that no one is really talking about but could potentially be a real outcome depending on how the remainder of the season goes but... If Mike Tomlin is let go as HC in Pittsburgh (and given the ties to Tepper)... He could be a strong possibility. I know many have said that Tepper was one of the minority owners who wanted Tomlin gone but it is my understanding that Tepper was not, in fact, one the guys that wanted him out as Coach but actually was supportive of Tomlin. That said, if Tomlin came to Carolina, I could see him keeping Wilks on as DC to have continuity. I am just not sure who he would bring in as OC but one would think he would learn from his mistakes and not hire Canada again. Personally I could see Todd Haley reuniting with Tomlin. I know it may be far fetched but given the ties to the Steelers organization, it's not a complete stretch, IMO.
  13. Taking a page from Mr. Scot's "Hypothetical Quinn" thread. Say Ken Dorsey ends up with the HC gig: - Keep Wilks on as DC - hire Frank Reich as OC (if fired from the Colts - Keep Tabor as ST Coord. Thoughts???
  14. Given what Tepper said about giving coaches less control in his presser, I do not see Harbaugh being a candidate.
  15. I thought about adding him but I was being cautious and not jump the gun.
  16. I know there has already been threads about certain guys but I figured we need a thread where everyone can come and talk about the candidates. I know it is waaaay early in the process but here are some names catching waves already: The interim- Steve Wilks The Second Chancers: Dan Quinn (Dallas DC and former Falcons HC) Sean Payton (former Saints HC) Raheem Morris (current DC for the Rams and former HC for Bucs and Falcons) Brian Flores ( Former Dolphins HC and current Steelers LB Coach) Leslie Frazier ( Former Vikings DC/ Current DC for the Bills) The First Timers- Defense DeMeco Ryans (DC for the 49ers) Don "Wink" Martindale (DC for the Giants) Jonathan Gannon ( DC for the Eagles) Patrick Graham (DC for the Raiders) Lou Anarumo ( DC for the Bengals) The First Timers- Offensive Shane Steichen (OC for the Eagles) Brian Callahan ( OC for the Bengals) Ben Johnson (OC for the Lions) Byron Leftwitch ( OC for the Buccaneers) Kellen Moore ( OC for the Cowboys) Eric Bienemy ( OC for the Chiefs) I know there may be more names added as the season progresses but these are the "hot" names .
  17. In all fairness to Wilks, I didn't really think he go a fair shake... Regardless, I do think they will go a different route.
  18. Now watch Steve Wilks turn this team around
  19. The same argument could be applied to Leftwitch and Bienemy too
  20. I find the whole "we need a young Offensive guru to run this team" mindset is overrated and I always felt this team was built for a defensive minded coach so therefore: Jonathan Gannon- DC for the Eagles Leslie Frazier- DC for the Bills DeMeco Ryans- DC for the 49ers Raheem Morris- DC for the Rams Brian Flores- LB Coach for the Steelers Pair any of these guys with a competent OC and BOOM, Superbowl contenders
  21. Given the connections with Quinn, if Scott Fitterer has any say in the coaching search, I could see Quinn being the coach. Not my first choice though. If we are going to to look at any retreads, I think Raheem Morris or Leslie Frazier would be ideal. I know many probably prefer Harbaugh but I feel like he will be a head case.
  22. Personally, give Brian Flores, Demeco Ryans, Raheem Morris, or Don "Wink" Martindale over any hotshot young gun OC
