    Never did understand why so many people hate the guy... He wasn't a terrible qb, I've seen much worse hang around for years... And I'm pretty sure he has the same amount of playoff wins as our own Cam Newton.

    This will be an important year for Cam. I.believe Getty will give him the weapons and protection needed to succeed. If he doesn't have an outstanding year then he doesn't get outstanding money.

    Some of the greatest receivers in NFL history have had very average speed, so Yeh speed alone doesn't make a guy an automatic star. Look at the guy we snagged last year, dude isnt a "barn burner" yet he scored double digit tds and had 1000 yards...

    People don't understand what Getty is doing... He is looking at who our core is and manipulating the cap so that we can keep those guys. This place would freaking explode if we lost guys like Newton and Keek.

    Guys(and gals) should remember that Dave wasn't a.big fan of signing high profile receivers in NY, he concentrated on getting dominant linemen. A great qb can make average receivers look like HOFers
