Jaycee Horn weighs in on the turf debate
Tbe replied to PantherFanInPhilly's topic in Carolina Panthers
They analyzed football as well. -
There is no sure thing. No magic formula. Finding a great QB is a ton of luck. However, teams tend to get luckier when they have high picks. The luck becomes lottery level the longer a QB lasts in the draft.

Aaron was a unicorn. Most mocks had him going #1 overall. A very unique set of circumstances caused him to fall.

So it’s specifically slit film? B of A isn’t slit film. -

It seems studies on this are pretty mixed. Who knows. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21985213/ This study analyzed 11 other studies. From the abstract. Not reading the full thing right now. “Changing between surfaces may be a precursor for injury in soccer. In conclusion, studies have provided strong evidence for comparable rates of injury between new generation artificial turfs and natural turfs. An exception is the likely increased risk of ankle injury on third and fourth generation artificial turfs.” -
Reich lived in Charlotte for a period of time before going back to the NFL as a coach. His kids are still here. He also played for the Panthers as a QB and I believe he threw the first TD pass in franchise history in 95.

Yep. Coaches need to learn that often the thing that got you where you are isn’t the thing that will take you where you want to go.

Holcomb and Wilks are tight like Rhule and Snow. #1 reason Wilks can’t get the HC job.

Two fumbles so far today as well.

The one in the end zone for one.

He’s the best QB we’ve seen in two seasons. WR drops haven’t helped either.

How would you guys feel about keeping Darnold as a long term backup
Tbe replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
At this point, it looks like PJ is a lock for long term backup. We’ll see how it goes, but I see the rest of this year as audition for the backup spot. -

If winning means we end the season with some legit coaches then great. Otherwise, let’s tank. I have a bad feeling we end up with 5 wins again.

I don’t get it. If the difference between real grass and fake is how much ‘give’ each has, why can’t fake be engineered with more padding and flex? Seems like an easy thing to do.

Inside the Carolina Panthers' three seasons of quarterback failure
Tbe replied to Vox's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’ve done that in my professional career. The fastest way to get rid of someone incompetent is to give them everything they want and let nature that it’s course. -

1. Fug Rhule for costing us Herbert. 2. Fug Tepper. He needs to back off. Giving them deadlines to make trades, ranting about players, not understanding how hard it is to have a consistent winner, etc. He needs to separate himself from the team until he at least understands the NFL as well as the average huddler. -

Rhule had final roster control. Not much he could have done in the end. -
Players hoping to help Wilks win the full time job
Tbe replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m fine with Wilks if he can be our McDermontt. An offensive minded guy would be great but He should be retained if guys respond to him. -
The Jaguars are slowly making me rethink this tanking thing

QB isn’t their problem.
