MMQB: Breer on Wilks/potential OC candidate
Ricky Spanish replied to *FreeFua*'s topic in Carolina Panthers
This is assuming Johnson would even join wilks. He could very well follow steichen or even get promoted within the eagles org. -
David Tepper is keen on Will Levis
Ricky Spanish replied to Chris Smitty's topic in Carolina Panthers
Got a wild feeling that Levis is this year's Herbert where a ton of people are like "why is everyone so high on him, he's just big with a strong arm", but it turns out that his college coaches were completely misusing him the entire time and he can actually ball in the pros because he has the mental portion of things down. -
Him and Brian Daboll were my top two choices last offseason. 500 ain't bad, I'll take it.

Some of you guys should be checked for whiplash. Many of you were ready to show him the door last week after Pittsburgh. I still don't know. I worry it's just the comfort of familiarity and the fact that we've been so bad for so long that mediocrity looks like a vast improvement, and let's be honest, we've been mediocre since he took over. That's not a slight, or a compliment, we're just an inconsistent team week to week. So I dunno. I worry/wonder about the coordinators that Wilks would put together. I'd prefer we interview a few guys and let whoever has the best idea for the franchise moving forward, do so.

I could see the Texans, Cards, Broncos, and Saints also firing their coaches. We have talent and as long as we don't win the division we'll have a shot a top tier QB in the draft. I think we are on the top end of the enticing situations list. We'll see

The GOAT who was a 6th round pick, and Stafford, who was a 1st round pick. If the guy has that dawg in him, it doesn't matter what round, but a lot of it has to do with situation/staff/ and luck. but it seems like the first round is generally where the best talent, on average, is found, regardless of position.

I don't even know is shaq will even be here next year. I like Wilks. I like him as a dude and I respect the poo out of him. I just don't necessarily trust him as the HC. I feel like it's just more of the same of the Rivera/Fox Era's.

Steichen has been my #1 choice since before Rhule was fired. I've been saying this for months: Hire Steichen Sign Minshew Draft Rookie QB Have Minshew helm the ship until rookie is ready. Win more

Props to the Vikes for fighting back down 33 regardless of this outcome. -

Brock Purdy and why we don't need to draft a 1st round QB
Ricky Spanish replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
The last pick in the draft is the first pick before the next draft, so it's like, even better than having the first pick for next year! The 9ers just cracked the code.- 60 replies

Just realized Chuba would have been benched by Rhule for reaching the ball over the goal line.

Purdy leads all rookie QBs this year in Touchdown passes. He has started two games and played in 3.

Purdy fly for a white guy

We can get him for a fraction of the cost of CMC for 2 to 3 years. The Market will be saturated with RBs this offseason so there is no reason to break the bank. Plus, we no longer have Hurney so we don't have a GM willing to overpay a replaceable position any longer. Let him test the market and give him a fair market deal (it won't be ludicrous). I'd love to have him back.

I'll always root for Bradberry. Dude did nothing but improve year over year. He walked, got paid, and has maintained that high level of play. Honestly hope he wins one with the iggles this year if they make it to the superb owl.
