  1. Gross overcame that by being tough and harding work. According to players Peppers rag dolled Gross daily and almost killed his confidence. Gross said himself it wasnt until week 1 halftime, that he realized "Wow they dont have a DE like Peppers, its much easier!" Gross also said something that stuck with me too- "OL is about losing slowly". I got to dig more on Slater, one thing that I remember about Rhule with Derrick Brown. He talked about his personality and his focus, Reports have Slater being similar in that vein. Plus if hes the 8th, its a near must hes a LT....unless he can be a nasty Nelson clone. I respect DJs opinion and hes been bragging hardcore for Slater months ago.
  2. Feels like Gross was drafted 80 years ago. The current group of DEs are LOOOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG armed freaks. Only thing that beats long arms is long arms. super rare exceptions
  3. Nevermind seen his arm length, thats a little short for me......
  4. Does ANYone fact checks these days, like real checks not its against my agenda BS. My old man said to me, "In my day you had to get at least 2 credible sources before you run with a story "
  5. The only reason I can think for NOT running is a team gave him/agent a guarantee selection.... got to be early too. Part request too. 21+ MPH in pads, thats legit NFL speed no matter the position. Id still run and its still sus about him not trying to improve his draft stock aka millions. He could have gotten injured while working out too, just adds to the mystery.
  6. I looked into reddick some. 2 things stood out- yes he did have 12.5 sacks, but 5 came against the NYCgiants in one game. The other was Chandler Jones got IR'd early season(about after the panthers game where Little man-handled him...). Reddick took over his role, got favored matchups, and 1vs1/0s. Bonus Im always always always worried when a palyers has a career year in a contract year, as Reddick just did. Before the start of this season Reddick was a rumored cut, just had a poor first three years.
  7. Id take 2001 all DAY. Steve is a HOFer, holds every panther WR record, and had a triple crown. Kris in his prime was maybe the best DLmen in the league. Dan was Luke with concussions. Wenikie was a decent QB as a career backup type. Cooper was a ST ace and rounded out this pool.
  8. Cannt run the offense??? RPO??? I now question if he truly watched the panthers or lance at all. CHris knows more than I, but that doesnt mean hes never wrong about a player. Chris isnt aware that ND runs a pro system, unless most of college teams....and not a good a fit for the panthers LSU/Saints system??? Chris found crack during convid.
  9. I mean they borrowed the panthers 2019 D, have the panthers evar had a QB throw for 450+ in their history? Plus Dak injured himself in that 5th game, still how do you blame him for the Ls? He average 420+ yards and 3 TDs per game, I know its painful but sweet jesus give him some credit.
  10. Wow, thats 0.00 in the risk part. Hate that he landed in Miami, Vegas for a guy with his issues would have given TMZ 24/7 stories. Wish Frittererer would had made that deal or one a tad better since herniay traded our 7th this year.
  11. He was on a cheat code pace, over 450 yards in 3 out 4?!??!?! I dont care that DAllas D sucked gopher balls, thats impressive with fat Mike in control too. Id dare state my old opinion now, he would have re-wrote a few impossible records this past year, by like week 12...
  12. I was once one of those talking bout " Dak is average, just a Dallas/OL thing derp derp derp...." Did everyone forget his start....hold on... 13. Burns said plenty times - "Hes weird..." Seems its wasnt just bustin balls and there was a issue in the locker room. Maybe he was trying to turn the DE group into pot heads..
  14. At the time the panthers were 39th in rush defense, giving up a NFL record 5.9 yards per. Weatherly was a great run defender, he was rated in the top ten if I remember right. Plus it was Burns and ??????? at DE(unless Haynes is worthy). I bet if given the chance to void the deal they would have thought long and hard after YGM fell to them in the 2nd. I believe if YGM was in this years draft, no question 1st, maybe top 16 pick given this weak class. When it was said he didnt want to keep playing after his finger injury, done I was...
  15. Before that video, people where trying to compare Jones and Burrow, FULL stop for the reasons you listed.
  16. I didnt say Im for Jones, its the opposite. Hes just bring good points about Jones, Tua was the apple of many teams eye. Im 152% Lance and dont even want to pick Jones with the panthers 2nd rounder.
  17. Ive been trying to find others that have the similar needs, OL feels like every team is looking for help. I seen where Oakland and LAcharg may need 4 starters, depending on future stuff.
  18. Herniay is gone bro...... but I got the same feel as you. Fritterererer came form a team that traded lots(few times with panthers). Im always honest, for him being the lead draft guru, theyve gotten awful results since that great 2012..... Herniay was better in 2017-20. Russ wilson and Pete just overcame those years, they have been faaaar too cute about the draft. They traded back plenty and trusted the board that more than likely Frittererere made. Piss poor is doing them a favor in describing their draft pools.
  19. @MHS831 has been dropping bombs with defending Jones making it hard to ignore. I forget the "expert"(was a trusted one for me), but they love Jones. He was saying if you compare Tuas' season/games with Jones, both had similar weapons and OL.... Jones had the better season thus is the better player! Many teams had Tua for the top pick/top three, even with a awful hip injury he Dolphins took him at 5. It made me go "hmmm" and Mhs is too.
  20. He picks apart peoples wording and meaning, must be pure hell for him to read my poo. He was big wrong about Herniay, but he owned it. The appaloosa spam was a little tiresome, but that was his gimmick that I didnt take seriously. I mean what GM and HC doesnt report to the owner?(I just recently learned about Seattle) I like when someone has a different opinion with strong beliefs. The day the huddle turns into a giant echo chamber, is the day Im out.
  21. Brady is the GOAT and all, but one of GOAT traits was In pocket movement. Honestly he has superman sense about being able to take a half/full step/s right, left, north, south to avoid sacks/hurries. He watched tape over and over to learn the preferred angles of defenders. Weak points that most other QBs overlook when its study time.
