I'm guessing you like him because of name recognition. What he has shown on the field isn't that great.

I'll give Morgan the benefit of the doubt that he knows a good LB.

Dane Brugler Carolina Panthers projection rd 2 and 3
The Natural replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
It was NOT a panic. It was a smart move to get him in the first so we have the 5th year option. We didn't give the farm away. -
If anything Beane did Morgan a solid. We didn't give up much at all to gain a VERY valuable 5th year option.

Sources tell me he actually had the manager at gun point when making this demand. Just a nasty scene all the way around. Children were crying.

According to Legette, Panthers will draft Legette at #33
The Natural replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He was most likely told "We'd love to have you on the team." and he added that extra bit. We wouldn't even tell Bryce last year that he was going to be #1 overall, we're not going to tell a guy we're going to draft him at #33 without knowing how the draft is going to play out. -

I can confidently say that is not the current plan. -

Did Scott Fitterer draft any good players?

If we had let Matt Rhules wife make all of the picks we might be well on our way to a dynasty. She had a 100% hit rate on her selections.- 93 replies

Did Scott Fitterer draft any good players?

There's no way at this moment I would consider Ickey "really good". Even in his rookie season he struggled mightily in pass protection. -
So.... do we win a game next year?
The Natural replied to PleaseCutStewart's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think we have a HC now who isn't content with just going through the motions and collecting a paycheck. We'll be better than last season. -
Are we low-key tanking? Donnelly thinks we're half-tanking.

Fitterer missed on damn near every draft pick he made. There is a massive lack of talent that's going to take more than a single off-season to overcome. Expectations for this year should be kept to a bare minimum. We aren't going to know what we have with Morgan and Canales for at least a few years. -
Really though, at this point, who cares? It's over and done with. All we can do is hope that with competent pieces around him Bryce will shine. If he doesn't Canales will get a shot at picking his guy.

People don't want to accept that Reich and Fitterer were the two pounding their fists for Young. If Tepper had "meddled" as much as some of you believe Stroud would have been the pick.
-
Foster was soooo good. Yet another Panther who had all-world talent but couldn't stay healthy.
-
Well yeah, no poo. Who else are they supposed to report to?
-
Cautiously optimistic. He was my second choice behind Ben Johnson.

Donnelly: Process used to hire Morgan was wrong
The Natural replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's pretty much the exact opposite of what I've heard from people with direct ties. Dan was the only one willing to voice his opinion when he didn't agree with something. From what I've been told he was nearly the only one in the building outside of McCown who wanted Stroud over Young. Fitterer, Reich and Brown were all-in on Young and sold the idea to Tepper. -
Tell me it isn't happening...and there is a zero % chance
The Natural replied to CRA's topic in Carolina Panthers
My sources have told me nobody is willing to coach this team and therefore playcalling duties will be left up to AI. As far as game planning and practice goes I was told it will be "left up to the few players willing to play to get themselves ready as they see fit." I'm also told all concessions will be closed at BOA and vending machines put in place due to the fact that NOBODY is willing to work for this organization. We moved to turf because groundskeepers were unwilling to work anymore and Tepper wouldn't commit to mowing the field himself. -
QB Quandary: 2024 Draft, FA Stopgap, or Stand Pat?
The Natural replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sink or swim with Bryce. Either he shows enough improvement to make us think we have our guy or he fails and we have a great pick to try again. -

The biggest difference between Burns and Bosa is you won't see TE's blocking Bosa one on one.
