Well, unfortunately when Bryce allows the opposing team's offense to probably on average start at our 40 yard line, you are going to have a hard time keeping teams from scoring. Not sure if he is great or not, but people acting like some other DC coming into this poo show of a defense and magically making it anything better are delusional. And sure, we can blitz 6 or 7... All that means is that we will have 6/7 guys still not reach the QB because literally nobody can rush the passer while having no help back on defense because we are blitzing. In short, there is nothing that can be done scheme-wise to make this defense good

Probably would have been more useful to evaluate him last year... You can throw any DC you want to out there to coach this defense and the results would be similarly awful. Honestly, I don't think half of our starters on defense would be good enough for any other NFL team's practice squad.

I don't see Pederson being fired. Lead them to a 9-8 record the previous 2 years despite not having the most talent on that team. I have to imagine Zac Taylor is on the hot seat for the Bengals. Possibly Stefanski for the Browns, although I would blame him less than their owner/front office

No doubt. I think even if the other team plays terrible, they still drop 30 on our defense. We could still steal a win or 2 if Dalton and the run game ball out though. I think 3-4 wins is what we get and I honestly think that gets us at worst the #2 pick if the Patriots outsuck us

If we only get 3 wins, I think the only other team that could possibly outsuck us would be the Pats. With how awful our defense is, I don't think we have to worry about winning many more games this year

And Bryce has barely eclipsed 50 yards total in both of the games he played... And I don't know how many times it can be said that nobody here thought that Dalton was going to become an elite QB all of a sudden. We just knew he was capable of at least being a serviceable QB, something Bryce will never be. Pretty much everyone I have seen post on this forum says to go ahead and sign Dalton to a 2-3 year contract so that way we can build the rest of the team up and then get our QB. Not sure why you keep saying that everyone here thinks Dalton is going to become Mahomes-esque, which is saying a lot because I feel like I usually get dumber when I read threads on this forum

In all honesty, with the dipshits we had in the front office, we would have just drafted 2 Mingo's and a DJ Johnson caliber players with those picks.
