  1. They really attacked positions of need too. FO is focused!
  2. So just a case of everyone else was worse. LOL. I don't even want a Greg Olsen, can I get a Kris Mangum?
  3. I mean Ian Thomas has made it through what 4 coaching regimes now? He has to be doing something right. This isn't a Bersin situation, where he was the owners neighbor ( talk about meddling ) Edit : or his competition has been that bad ( didn't seem like it this year )
  4. You guys can do that, but I am not judging a rookies performance with the garbage coaching staff we had last year. Football is so fine tuned, you have to be put into a position to succeed no matter how good you are. Same thing we heard about Bryce, the offensive line and our WRs. We did nothing to play to their strengths ( or really even coach IMO ). These guys were all put into a position to fail.
  5. Joe Brady is with the Bills and they just got a look at TMJ. Maybe a potential landing spot for him. Wish the dude turned it on sooner, we might not have needed to draft his replacement in Mingo.
  6. If Horn stays healthy, this defense is going to be a problem.
  7. True. It's been apparent listening to Morgan and Canales that there is a plan and thought process both of them are following. Canales and his offensive staff have been clear about how they want to install the offense. It sounds like it starts with fewer formations and getting a feel of what they do well, then continually building on that. They master those formations and start adding wrinkles ( same play different formation, same formation different play, new #1 read etc.... ). This is where they sound like they are now. If you are working on rolling out a system that way, it makes sense to look at the preseason games 1 and 2 and think that if you can't get the offense you want out there practicing the stuff they have already mastered smoothly you are not accomplishing much according to your plan to install the offense and then you are opening up some starters ( mainly Bryce ) to injury because you have guys running the offense who might not have the level of readiness your starter would. Then you add in having the #1 waiver wire and Dan talks about maximizing using that because of the caliber of player you maybe able to get. The best way to do that is to really evaluate what you have in your 2nd and 3rd string so you can try and bring in someone who will have maximum impact. I think if a few things worked out differently, mostly O line injuries/unavailability and Daltons injury, we would have seen the 1st team in a few series last game.
  8. Alright, Saturday looking interesting! Hoping Tremble is worked in properly with the hamstring and can play the full season.
  9. What a stupid tweet. You could literally do that with every team in the league. They all pass up on good players and make trades that don't work. Working OT to fuel the hate.
  10. Just my opinion : It sounded like he was stressing celebrating and talking poo with your teammates is the right way to go about it, rather then throw the ball or just go something to get a flag thrown.
  11. Okay so point proven. You base it on how you feel. FINE, stop trying to play it off like you got something substantive to say. Its okay to admit your biases, in fact its probably healthy to have a little inner look sometimes. You a joke man, get called out and then act like everyone else is an asshole.
  12. My boy....that is not what you said. You said you had stats to PROVE he will be bad this year. I am waiting to see what you can provide. It seems like you are confusing your opinion with facts....but that's what we've been saying all along. You don't like him/the pick so you will go out of your way to trash it with really nothing to back you up. If you can show me a stat correlating offseason work outs and bulking up with winning % ( or better yet just even better QB stats ) I am all for it and will hear you out.
  13. So nothing.....you match your icon well. Clown response.
  14. They were talking about INTs..... I am still waiting for the data you have that proves Young will be bad this year. You said you had it. Just an FYI : I don't know if Young will be bad, good or great for the rest of his career. You guys just too deep in your feelings to understand.
  15. There is an energy building with this defense. Should be real fun to watch.
  16. I hope Dane Jackson can get back healthy to start to season, dudes pretty good. In the meantime it looks like Jackson is stepping up. Or at least getting the opportunity to show he can.
  17. Data to back up how he will do in the future with a new coaching staff, receivers, TEs, Oline and RBs? Please do share.
  18. I mean realistically our interior offensive line was god awful last year. Even if we had Mahomes we would have needed major upgrades at both guard positions. Pressure up the middle is a QB killer no matter who the QB is ( see Tom Brady ). Building for a quarterback is pretty much building for all QBs. Linemen and weapons. They all need them. Other then that I think you hit the nail on the head, the team is not in a quick fix mindset and priority/draft board pushed center to next year.
  19. Big week. Hopefully the team rises to the occasion. Weather its fair or not, since its the Jets again, we can really look back to last year to see if we feel there is some improvement with this team, specifically offensively. Fingers crossed they go in healthy and come out healthy.
  20. Keep Pounding! Just to put some weird perspective on this. I am 39 and have been reading Mr.Scots posts on this site for almost half of my life.
  21. I mean with Dalton down and Plummer being a UDFA if Young were to go down you could shoot your season in the foot now. Especially opening up with a division game. Could have played a part.
