I was genuinely getting excited during the Tampa game and I would have been fine with Wilks if we won and made the playoffs. But that entire collapse is the main reason I got continually frustrated with Rivera when he was here. After is I was never gonna be happy with Wilks as coach.

Plus Wilks was probably gonna being in Holcomb as DC. Kinda had enough of “buddy hiring”.

For interim HC to be successful? No it isn’t. A lot of interim HC have pretty good success when give the job after the firing.

Okay, no duh, I am talking about AFTER the tag is removed. It isn’t abnormal for an interim HC to do well. It is abnormal for an interim HC made full time HC to do well. Wilks has a better chance to be the rule not the exception and considering how defensive HC fair in the modern NFL I would take the rule 9 times outta 10. Safe bet.

Out of respect. That is all. Most interim HC if they do well enough get interviews by the team.

Being white would have nothing to do with it. If Wilks was an OC I think he would have had a better chance. Tepper wanted an offense focused coach.

Considering the amount of blind support I have seen for a mediocre coach calling them a cult is appropriate. Wilks would not of succeeded. I am not a betting person but I would take that bet. I don’t know if Reich will succeed but I would rather take a chance at something new than another coach who playing like it is 2003.

Yet they’ll keep making topics and long winded rants. If this keeps up the mods need to do something. Reich is the coach now. They need to support him or just shut up. I would have done the same thing if Wilks had of been made HC. I may not of liked it but I would support him and hop it worked out.

If we played against nothing but bad run defenses we likely would have been in the playoffs because that seems to be the only teams Wilks could beat.

What is the success rate of interim HC made into full time HC? Oh, yeah, really freaking low.

It is hilarious how you Wilks cult members are convinced Wilks is the next great coach and will lead the Panthers to multiple Super Bowls and multiple winning seasons with no proof that he will except a mediocre 6-6 season and a terrible 3-13 season. A 6-6 season where he got blown out by the Bengals, Steelers and Bucs. Steelers and Bucs losses doomed him. You know what would likely happen if Wilks became HC. Mediocrity at best. Wilks wasn’t gonna be the next Jeff Fisher. He likely wasn’t going to lead the Panthers to success. Not saying Reich will either but I’ll take him over a coach whose coach systole is stuck in 2003. Sick of Rivera style coaches.
