  1. Stopped them! Still whiffed on a sack but they didnt get a touchdown!
  2. Two firsts and a second and hes about to need a bigger contract. It was ridiculous to turn down for a specialized player about to come off his rookie contract soon enough.
  3. Exactly. I've been a fan of the panthers since they were created and we have had some really good teams that I have absolutely loved, and can be nostalgic over for the rest of my life, but I dont want to be those panthers any more. Stick with keep pounding and the past alive but we dont want to be the panthers of old. We need back to back winning seasons, we need a Super Bowl. The past was good, sometimes great, but we need to move forward.
  4. His arm definitely looked strong at the combine, his accuracy did not.
  5. Cam wasnt the clear #1 choice coming into that draft. He threw poorly at the combine and had plenty of question Mark's. Luck and Lawrence were much more hyped prospects coming in to the draft.
  6. Exactly, no one knew who the first pick would be or even the first qb taken till immediately before the draft started. Almost every prospect always has question Mark's. I remember Cam looked terrible at the combine in all the passing drills.
  7. He was a third round pick for a reason. If you have a top 5 pick and Corral is the only qb on your roster you use that top 5 pick On a qb every single time basically. That said hopefully Corral becomes a good player but there are clear differences in a top 5 overall prospect and a third rounder. Could those evaluations change over time? Of course but as far as grading prospects top 5 and third rounder are and should be night and day.
  8. He was running around in the endzone with his helmet off after being in on the touchdown play. How is that not the field of play?
  9. Yea I'm not saying it's a good rule, just that he did break it.
  10. Sure. Do you think he would have missed a regular xp though? Also if he had hit the xp and it had been to tie instead of win do you think he would have been in the same mental state on the ot kick? Hes a backup kicker that we signed off the streets. Hes been solid, bad day to have a bad day may cost him his pro career.
  11. It was definitely a penalty. If he hadnt came back into the endzone after he took his helmet off and has stayed off the field of play they wouldnt have called it. He immediately came back in the field of play after taking it off.
  12. People more mad at our backup kicker for missing a 48 yard kick instead of DJ if you have to blame someone are weird.
  13. It was definitely a penalty. People saying he took his helmet off off the field of play are right technically he was in the back of the endzone but then he instantly came back on the field without his helmet on.
  14. To be fair he definitely looked slow and unexplosive on the route he had his first catch on. I think that's his biggest problem. Hopefully he becomes solid though.
  15. That doesnt mean he requested to be traded. It seems really likely that if you were on an nfl roster and the GM was open with you and told you that you may be traded then you would want to know what was going on as much as possible. Definitely doesnt mean you requested the trade.
  16. If we get the top pick in the draft there is no way that Corral is even a factor on if we draft a qb or not. Corral could end up being good but he went in the third for a reason.
  17. I think Wilks definitely has some responsibility.
  18. It was the same game plan all game, it was just a gameplan that can only work for a quarter before the defense just sits on the los. It was an impossible gameplan to actually win an nfl game with.
  19. Yea if I remember right he had chronic toe or ankle problems his entire career and it was all just pain management. I could be misremembering though.
  20. Lol he had one completion on the positive side of the los.
  21. You think tepper comes up with trade value? That's GM and also the first rule of trading is start high. If we are just going to get a 4th or something is there really a benefit to even trading him? Hes a perfect safety net for a young qb. We aren't going to give away players just to give them away. Unless its Robbie Anderson.
  22. Before last year. He wasnt consistently good until Stevd Smith called him out pretty early on. He is great when he is schemed open or has the ball in his hands but he still needs to work on his route running and getting open. I've definitely noticed some bad body language and effort out there. Hes not to blame but hes definitely not helping nor above reproach
  23. They played literally identical. Same play calls for the most part. This is just subconscious rose colored glasses for someone happy Snow is gone. The defense has been solid all year. They are just built badly for how we play. Our defense is built on speed and aggressiveness playing with a lead. When you are playing conservative grind it out ball or playing from behind with the defense on the field all second half this is about the best you can always expect. It was a terrible gameplan.
