  1. I was fine with us taking a swing on Corral but Matt Rhule was a complete buffoon so he was doomed from jump street unfortunately. Stroud is 1a Young is 1b and Richardson is the wildcard for me. Praising Young is one thing but linking him to future hall of famers in a completely different sport on top of the constant comparisons I've seen to Drew Brees and Doug Flutie is where you can see bias sneaking into the discussion. I'm not putting too much pressure on any of these guys if we draft them this season is going to be a pleasant surprise if we make the playoffs but I'm tempering expectations.
  2. Uneducated takes eh? You aren't exactly offering Stephen Hawking level insight yourself here let's not get carried away insulting each other. I am a Corral skeptic I think he's basically done here barring something magical but I can't say his career is done not by a longshot. And I think you are being premature at best to label him injury prone. In college he had 2 grade 1 ankle sprains and a bruised rib. If we are calling that injury prone then Bryce Young already having nursed a shoulder injury at Alabama is something to consider. Or maybe you are not able to see past your own bias on the matter
  3. Yeah I'm not worried about that with Stroud or Young any of these QB's could bust we could argue all day long about the level of competition they faced. There are other QB's who have feasted on lesser teams who have gone on to do big things in the NFL and there are QB's who have beaten great college teams and went on to become busts. It's a crapshoot like the saying goes. Richardson is a huge gamble for whichever team takes him but if he is committed to working on his game I could see him doing some Lamar Jackson like things.
  4. I'm with you on pretty much everything here. But keep in mind that knock on Stroud relating to pressure will apply to any rookie we draft. I've been trying to tell folks to be cautiously optimistic about our oline. It remains a work in progress and depth is still a concern.
  5. Well we're trying. He could be solid for us I'll take it.
  6. I think it's perfectly reasonable to be cautious about hinging the hopes of your franchise and someone who will be touching the football more than anyone else when his most favorable comps are Wilson and Murray. But alas Stroud Richardson and yes Young are the only options in my eyes. Levis is Darnold. Do not want.
  7. I like you but you are letting your fandom get the best of you with this Bryce Young infatuation. Now I know why you are so mad about the pro Stroud threads and wanting us to draft Levis for the laughs. Damn ya'll are taking dickriding to an extreme.
  8. So one player you aren't in favor of is deemed injury prone after a single game but a guy who is even smaller will never face that problem? You guys can't even be consistent within one thread.
  9. Wasn't referring to you. Thought that was obvious but maybe could have worded it better. Again I'd be happy with either.
  10. We're talking about Cam? The Watt hit was in the pocket wasn't it? Hey man we all saw Cam in 2021 he still had almost every bit the juice as his younger days running the ball. And that's after an unconscionable number of career rushing attempts that would make some running backs blush. That's because of his frame. If you want a more valid comp for Young look at Tua.
  11. What's with the hate for this guy? He had 3 more carries than Miles Sanders 200 less yards but 6 more scores. I'd be happy with adding either of them to our backfield.
  12. Minimum we should be competing for the division and a playoff spot this year. Fitterer has his work cut out for him to make this offense formidable in one offseason. Hopium has everyone dismissing losing Moore as mostly inconsequential but we'll see.
  13. Injuries and career longevity are different things. You really think a guy smaller than Corral is eyeing a 12-15 year career? He'll be lucky to last 8-10.
  14. Geesh you Young fanboys will look high and low for comps to validate him being smaller than Matt Corral
  15. Meh could do better could do worse. Just nail the draft and get this offense some weapons.
  16. Considering his market value and our offensive needs it's a no brainer to bring him back. I don't think it will be much longer.
  17. If Levis is the pick this place will burn. It will be entertaining. I'm used to being disappointed with this franchise so I would have the brief moments of rage and then just hope for the best. Others here might take hostages idk.
  18. I'd have to disagree about him being a safe pick. The biggest thing Darnold had going for him was his physical ability his arm talent was and is still exactly what you want in any franchise QB. Beyond that he was boom or bust as a passer. He compares more to Levis if we are drawing parallels between 2018 and 2023. As far as Stroud seeing ghosts if you could please provide me with some examples or game tape I would appreciate that.
  19. Right Darnold had the "wtf" plays even in college if you watch his tape it's all there. And he regressed in his second season at USC. Stroud isn't without his flaws no prospect is but 40+ scores and 6 picks in both seasons with 69% completion average he has the chops we seek. I see OP is pro Anthony Richardson. I misjudged so for that I apologize. It's between Stroud Young and AR there's no other discussion. I'm on board with the safe pick in Stroud or Richardson. Richardson as the pick would definitely ruffle feathers here but his abilities are worth the gamble and someone will assuredly take him in the first. Just my opinion but based on his history I get the feeling Reich is highly likely feeling the same way.
  20. Generally I agree with many of your posts but a Darnold Stroud comp is egregious breh. And I'm taking a shot in the dark and guessing you're pro Bryce.
