  1. We are up to 8th now. Our needs are qb, te, wr, edge, lb. I hope we don't reach and, instead, take the best available at need position. Tyree Wilson Texas Tech Edge, Quentin Johnson TCU WR, Will Levis UK QB, Myles Murphy Clemson Edge, Michael Mayer Notre Dame TE are all right around there. I am not impressed with Levis or Anthony Richardson at qb so i would look for Hendon Hooker UT QB in round two. If Bryce Young or Stroud are available, take them. If not, Edge or WR is fine. That is my two cents. If we take this strategy, we could also move back for someone that wants Levis or Richardson.
  2. His stock goes up by bailing on his teammates? UF was 6-6 and terrible w/ Richardson. They would have lost with him too, but i can't blame him for sitting out. More film of his throwing with a 49% completion rate isn't going to help his draft stock. Bryce Young is going to play in his bowl.
  3. Most have Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Will Levis, Tanner McKee. I would personally take Hendon Hooker over Levis and McKee. PFF ranks I would have Anthony Richardson sixth and well into the second round. People kept talking about how last year's qb class was weak and how this one was strong. I am just not seeing a strong qb class. Young and Stroud and then a pretty big drop off.
  4. Just because you draft a qb in the first round does not mean they are a first round talent. It depends on the year. If Atlanta had reached for Desmond Ridder in the first round instead of waiting for him to fall in the third round, would he be a better prospect? Of course not. There are four legit first round talents in this draft and then there is Anthony Richardson. We will be drafting after the teams who need qb's have already picked. We could trade down for a legit first round talent, but I am sick and tired of giving up draft capital for qbs.
  5. Anthony Richardson is obviously Josh Allen. You win. And comparing Josh Allen with Wyoming talent against the top 25 vs. Anthony Richardson with Florida talent against the top 25 is pretty unfair. We are going to pick outside of the quality qb picks. Taking a qb with our 1 will be a real reach and a Rhule type desperation move.
  6. You mean the guys that said to trade Teddy, give up picks for Darnold, and give up picks for Mayfield? Hendon Hooker's completion % vs. top 25 is 69.7. QB picks are a crap shoot and more likely to bust than be stars.
  7. Taking future bust Anthony Richardson in the first round would be such a Panther's pick. I guess I am the only one on here that watches any college football at all. His completion percentage vs. AP top 25 teams is 49.1.
  8. The problem i see with Reich is he got outcoached by a guy with only highschool experience.
  9. Pick up the Tennessee qb in late first early second.
  10. Winning 5 of 6 in the NFL is an accomplishment period. Losing to those teams mean we are not very good.
  11. Denver = sucks but we scored on a good D; lol at their offense. Seattle = doesn't suck but not world beaters and down 1st and 2nd rbs Pitt = sucks Detroit = losing record not indicative of decent team (tickets to be had for $25) Tamp = sucks New Orleans = sucks. (tickets to be had for $16). So we win 5 out of 6 with no wins vs. a decent team.
  12. There is always a bump when the head coach is fired and the interim steps in (the media idiots cry about how so and so deserves the job). Only a fool buys on the bump so Tepper will probably retain Wilks who will look for an OC, get not takers, and retain McAdoo. If we have to hire a defensive guy why not the DC at the niners? Would rather have an offensive guy that can help pick and develop a qb.
  13. Every team has needs. This one is not without talent. Wilkes is the Sam Darnold of coaching candidates.
  14. How many draft picks are we going to give the Jets for Zach Wilson?
  15. We currently pick 9. That means Young, Stroud, and Levis will be gone and we can take Tanner McKee or best need position. I would vote best available edge/lb/wr. We then take Hendon Hooker with our first second pick and whatever we missed with our next second and only third. That would mean we get edge, qb, lb, and wr all in the first three rounds.
  16. Fair enough but he had a 33.8 qbr the week before that and his td/int ratio is 13/10. Not that great.
  17. Based on what? His lack of reps under Rhule? His injury by our swiss cheese piece of crap oline? Did you see the play where he got hurt? Absolutely no pass blocking. The guy managed to get through two years of SEC play as a running qb. No one knows if he can succeed at this point.
  18. Is Fields really the answer in Chicago? He is not a very good passer and has to run a lot to be productive. We are now seeing the toll running qb's like Fields and Lamar Jackson are taking. No way the Ravens give Lamar a fully guaranteed contract he is demanding. That situation could get interesting.
  19. He would be a typical hire in line with Matt Rhule, Sam Darnold, and Baker Mayfield. Shopping in thrift store for things others no longer want.
  20. You mean like the college co-offensive coordinator he hired from LSU? Let that guy run the show? The guy who was even less qualified than Rhule?
  21. I am really starting to hate this team. Give up draft capital for Sam Darnold; give up draft capital for Matt Corral; give up draft capital for Baker Mayfield. Now we want to add another project qb? Stop the madness. At least Matt Corral was a stud SEC qb. This guy is nothing but a loser. And don't tell me Florida had no talent. You think they had less talent than Ole Miss?
  22. Is Fields a fantasy qb or an nfl qb or both? His completion % is 58.9 and his qb rating has him as the 23rd qb.
  23. Yet another reason that Tepper is a bottom five owner. If I were a free agent, i would much prefer grass.
