Not going to lie, Iky being a run blocking LT bothers me. The main job of the LT is to protect the QBs blindside. He gave up a few sacks in ACC play so what you expect to happen when he plays NFL? maybe I’m wrong but I could see him being a better Guard and BC being our LT. Honestly I wouldn’t care as long as both do a good job at their postions. I know many would think Iky would be a bust if he ended up being a guard but if he can consistently be a top G then I wouldn’t see him as a bust.

Exactly. A lot of times the mocks aren’t even close to being right. Injuries happen, people end up sucking some end up coming out of nowhere.

Brady was drafted in the 6th round, Kirk cousins 4th round, Nick Foles 3rd round, Carr drafted in the 2nd round. You can find a starting qb in later rounds. Plenty of first round qbs have been busts.

What if Coral starts then he ends up sucking then Darnold comes in after a few games and plays well? Doubt it happens but it’s always possible.

Dak Prescott and Russell Wilson are proof you can find a franchise Qb in the 3rd/4th rounds.

Charleston Rambo could be a good one. Had a bad 40 time but great route runner and is said to play better than the 40 time shows.

Problem is vet QBs even old ones that don’t have great stats still get decent sized contracts. It maybe cheaper to sign a recently retired QB as an assistant coach.

This is the pick I hate the most. Yeah he has speed but lacks technique. I feel like the players with good technique do better in the nfl then your players who are great physically.

I disagree. Our online improved some sure but Our LT is a rookie who supposed to be a great run blocker. He gave up a few sacks in ncaa play so I wouldn’t be if he does give up more in the nfl. Brady played well at LT not so much at G so he might not be a good G. Bozeman basically had one good year in a run heavy offense. Maybe he keeps playing at that level or maybe he doesnt. We don’t know how well these new offensive linemen will do in a new system and there’s always a chance of injuries.

I think Zappe has potential. He’s been good everywhere he’s went since high school yet never gets the recognition.

It feels like to me the player who is a great physical prospect tends to be a bust over the player who has great technique. Alabama has had some bust as well so I would go with Neal. I would next go with Ekwonu who might be better suited a guard, I see the reports constantly speak about how he has problems with pass blocking.

Yes but that includes the 2018-2021 seasons. I bet those numbers are a lot better for Pickett and others if you just include this season.

Ioannidis is pretty good so I’m happy with him as a starter. Nixon has looked like he has potential so if a starter gets injured he might could step up. Brown hasn’t lived up to expectations but is young enough to turn it around. Roy Sucks but he went to baylor so Rhule is loyal to him. I would love to sign/draft a back up but I think we are set at DT. Honestly I’m more worried about DE. Burns and YGM look to be the starters. YGM is young and unproven. We also have Haynes who’s played well in limited action but has been a career backup. We need a good DE in my opinion.

I’ve always felt that Haynes should be given a shot. He’s played well in the little bit of time he’s been given. Both he and Luvu had good PFF grades. YGM I guess is going to be the starter by default? He has potential but needs to stay healthy.

It’s hard for a rookie qb to do well when they have a incompetent coach who had no NFL experience. Add the fact his team wasn’t that good and probably wasn’t motivated and you are going to suck.

Well CMC just reworked his contract, I think about 5 million was freed up. A few other players reworked their contract too so I think that’s a big reason for the cap room. Don’t forget we also cut Bouye and Fox. Honestly I would rather us tank this year because right now even with all the signings we are at best. A 7 win team. Would you rather have a competitive team that won’t make the playoffs or a bad team that will get a top pick? If we aren’t a playoff team then in my opinion we should tank and try to get the best players available.

Russell Wilson was a third round pick and look how he turned out. Brady a 6th. In the end you don’t know if someone is going to be good or a bust until they play.

Plenty of good QBs wear/worn gloves. Peyton Manning, Brady, Matt Ryan won the MVP wearing a glove, Big Ben just to name a few. Wearing a glove doesn’t matter.

I’m actually glad. If we would have traded for Watson it still wouldn’t have changed the fact our team has many holes to fill and a bad coach. We would end up trading 2 players which would make even more holes. We wouldn’t have any top draft picks to fill those holes over the next 3 years. Watson barley had a winning record, you think he would get us over the hill? We wouldn’t be super bowl contenders and we have a coaching staff that isn’t going to develop talent or have top free agents wanting to come here. This isn’t like what the rams did, they already had a good roster and was a top FA destination when they traded for Stafford. Broncos have a solid team as well and had lots of cap space to sign more talent. So if anything we might have been a borderline playoff team if we got Watson but never good enough to win a Super Bowl. Now we can keep our draft picks and build a team with them and then hopefully either draft a good QB or trade for one in the future.

I think he would put up good numbers if he was just given the reps.
