  1. Just a reminder that three QBs have gone in the top 3 picks before, but there has never been 4 QBs taken in the top 7 in the history of the draft.
  2. Comparisons to Mike Mamula + Dion Jordan, focusing on sacks as the sole metric for production, a hyper focus on the 40yd dash time despite the fact that he measured high in multiple drills, etc isn't refuting clear athletic talent that was also combined with production? Again, not saying the man is a sure thing in the pros, but with those measurables he WILL get opportunities on the field and he's likely improved his earnings by literal millions. I'm not sure what the downplaying of the prospect does (not like we're targeting edge rusher in the first two rounds), but they can cook I guess?
  3. Folks are doing a lot of work to try and refute the man's clear athletic talent that was also combined with his production. Not saying he's a sure thing in the NFL, but with those measurables AND tape, he's definitely sneaking his way into the back end of the first round after being rumoured there months ago. If not then, I can't see him escaping round 2. Considering he was considered at worst a day 2 prospect, I think that's a good thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  4. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/jayson-oweh-nfl-draft-player-profile-penn-state-edge/ You can tell who does their research and who doesn't.
  5. Was coming in here to ask what you thought about Oweh sneaking into the 1st round now, but you're already ahead of it I knew that he was gonna measure well, but lawd almighty
  6. The full quote was "if he's out here preying on women." It was not a describing Watson as doing so. Let's try not to misrepresent what we can clearly see. If we want to remain consistent, we can go to the primaries when the Reade allegations broke and look at who my candidate was then (Bernie btw). Let's be consistent. I wanted Watson, but like I said in the quoted statement, those legal affairs need to be sorted out. Though I will agree, decency definitely separates those of us not wanting an individual that just had 12 civil suits filed against them for sexual misconduct from those that think "Buy low! He can be gotten for cheap!"
  7. It's wild the reach y'all are trying to make there. Did I call the state of GA voting for Biden, Ossof, and Warnock as opposed to going Trump, Perdue, and Loeffler on the night of the election saving the country? Yes. Please, tell me how that provides any inconsistency here. Now, if y'all wanna try to have a good faith conversation here, let's try something relevant. For example: We can talk about how I reacted to the Biden/Reade allegations. Go ahead and search the Huddle and social media. See anywhere where I denied her accusations, insinuated that it was a conspiracy by the GOP, or any of the other type of behaviour we're seeing in here? No? Well then... Like I've been saying: support women and victims.
  8. The desperation for better QB play should not influence the minimalization of the experiences of potential sexual assault victims. To pretend that isn't happening here is incredibly dishonest. The only reason the conversation exists here is because folks want Deshaun to play for the Panthers.
  9. fug yes that's me. The state of Georgia flipping blue got Trump (rapist) out of office and ended the Republican majority. But tell me again how Trump and a Republican majority was gonna save the country. We got time.
  10. Sounds like with Snow they're more willing to compensate for that by instead running disguised zone blitzes and taking advantage of the confusion created for the OL. Would explain the leaning towards long CBs that can tackle
  11. This hope that it's a grand conspiracy by Cal McNair is so trashy. He has even more to lose and with his incompetence included there's little to no chance that this is a revenge-based conspiracy. 12 women with 10 more also potentially filing? Why tank Deshaun's value when it is at its peak? We need to support potential victims of sexual misconduct more than we need to support the loathing of the idea of one more year with Teddy Bridgewater starting at QB. As a Clemson fan and Panthers fan, the idea of Deshaun was intoxicating right up until he needed to sort out his legal affairs. However, if he's out here preying on women and exploiting them by leveraging his power (physical or fame) or even being thought of as doing so then noooooo thank yooooou. My decency as a person comes before my fanaticism of a company.
  12. I'm going to need you to provide receipts on that one, especially since the only time in the search history from what I can see when I've typed "country" was back in April of 2020. Also, voting for who exactly? Because I'm pretty sure you got me mixed up with somebody else
  13. Might be time to leave this trash heap until it's the week of the draft. poo, it might still be best to stay away then too depending on what the team does.
  14. Ima need those of y'all who can't help but be bothered by the coincidence that this was while Deshaun was getting out of Houston to also remember that 8 people just got murdered in spas. If you think that wanting to be traded to another football team could trigger a 20+ person civil suit as a scheme to get back at them, I'm going to also need you to think that hearing about 8 people being killed in spas could very well trigger somebody that works in that type of environment and was made to feel unsafe by somebody.
  15. @VergeDeshaun dumpster fire aside... how has COVID-19 (outside of on site visits) affected scouting reports? Is there less emphasis on games played due to the chaos of the shortened seasons? Ie: Does "He only has 20 starts in 3 years" mean as much if they had only half of a season last year? Also: any attention paid to prospects that contracted COVID? Are there any concerns in regards to health risks later down the line? What about character concerns if they're found to have contracted the virus due to breaking protocols?
  16. Is this a genuine question? There are plenty of instances on this board and in this thread, if it is. Hell. Page 4 would be a good start where insinuating that advertising masseuse services on IG is shady as if social media is not a cheap and effective way to market a private business.
  17. The amount of posters attacking these women's character with garbage like pushing that this is a conspiracy by McNair (dude can barely keep his head out of his ass but he can orchestrate an elaborate (and risky) scheme?), that these women are questionable for advertising their masseuse services via social media (like it isn't an effective and low cost marketing vector), and other equally stupid poo is foul.
  18. 7 lawsuits filed. Can we stop attacking potential victims of sexual misconduct now just because we really want the defendant to play for a sports team that we like?
  19. Jermaine Carter has been talking him up on Twitter
  20. How in the Hell does a court case being criminal or civil have anything to do with whether or not victims of sexual assault should be cared for?
  21. Go back to page 4 of the thread. It starts there.
