  1. DJ Moore scored 8 TDs with Justin Fields. Why are we acting like the dude can't score? TDs for WRs is dependent on skill-set, sure, but it is also dependent on scheme and luck. Hell, Justin Jefferson had 184 targets in 2022 and "only" scored 8 TDs. Is he not the best WR in football?
  2. I know nothing about the likelihood of the GM candidates working out, but if I was going to back anyone it would be Alec Halaby. Philadelphia has routinely been one of the most talented teams in the NFL and one of the best at wheeling and dealing. I'd bet he's learned a thing or two there.
  3. At the end of the day, all that matters is if you are good at your job. It doesn't matter if you are a "roster builder" GM or an "analytics" GM. And across the NFL you are seeing more analytically-driven decisions by teams. Hell, Ryan Poles, who has gotten the Bears into the perfect spot, is an analytics guy. It really doesn't matter what side of the table you lean on, as long as you are good at whatever it is you preach.
  4. SOOOO many people on this site were adamant he wasn't a #1 WR lol
  5. How perfect is every throw supposed to be? Better WRs and TEs are able to make that catch. Ian Thomas isn't athletic enough to make the catch. I'm not sold on Bryce anymore either but that was not a bad throw. Every throw can't be a dime. WR/TE has to be able to make a play too. Considering the tight coverage, that was a fine throw.
  6. Lol Bryce has a lot of problems but that was definitely not a bad pass. Thomas needs to put more effort in reaching out. A better WR or TE reels that in, as we see in the NFL every week. Again Bryce has his issues but trying to criticize that throw is a bad take.
  7. Baker always had the ability to put up solid enough numbers for a team to win. The issue at the time was always the Panthers and the coaching staff. Baker isn't a good QB by any means but he isn't as bad as he looked in Carolina either.
  8. Eh, I'll have it on in multi-view. Would be nice to play spoiler to the Bucs but I really don't care either way. Happy to be done with the season.
  9. Goff is definitely a good QB. There should be no doubt about that. But I think Johnson and Goff both benefit greatly from each other, which isn't a bad thing. Johnson plays to Goff's strengths so well, and is able to adjust his scheme to maximize every player on the offense. Even when Amon-Ra would have to miss time, guys like Reynolds would step up.
  10. My top candidates... Ben Johnson, Kellen Moore, Todd Monken I'd be okay with Frank Smith given who he has worked for, but I'm hesitant about any dude who hasn't called plays becoming HC. Usually because they want to end up calling plays themselves. Another name I like but not necessarily for our team, Jerod Mayo. Extremely intelligent and a leader. I'm sure some would hate him simply because he worked under Belichick, but I don't think that is fair to him. LIS, I don't think he is the guy we need, but I would be supportive of it.
  11. I would take Tee Higgins at that number. I think he's got the upside to make that contract look like a steal. He's one of the few major moves available to us that I would be okay with taking. But I don't see us being able to bring Higgins in.
  12. What good defenders has he drafted outside of Jaycee Horn? Dude is atrocious at drafting every position.
  13. If we stand back and let things play out as they should, I'll be happy. No more rash decisions. This teams biggest problem every offseason has been getting desperate and making a dumb move, especially at the QB position. For once I'd like to see the team just be patient, make their draft picks, and wait until 2025. That is what will make me encouraged that we've learned from our mistakes. The way I see it, if Bryce turns it around, good for us. If he doesn't turn it around, we will be in the running for the 1st pick in 2025. So lets just ride it out.
  14. Belichick is still a good coach. Quite frankly the Patriots are a lot more competitive than they should be given their lack of talent. Bill the GM is the biggest issue. They just have so few impact players. But they went 8-9 last year and 10-7 the year before. Not great but again better than they should be when you look at their talent. I think if Belichick is willing to coach a team and just coach the team, he will be fine. However I can't see him not wanting control over personnel at his next destination.
  15. You can't help but laugh at how bad of a draft we just had.
  16. By far the worst general manager in Panthers history.
  17. Because what the Panthers need is another former 1st round QB that their original team gave up on.
  18. There is only so much the league is allowed to fine him. It isn’t like he got a DUI.
  19. He's trash dawg. He was better hidden last year. But the dude can't pass block to save his life. Gets manhandled by stronger dudes. Not fast enough for the smaller guys. He stinks. Sooner we realize it the better off we'll be. Or we better hope a coaching savant comes and fixes him up.
  20. Yeah, because throwing a drink at a fan is about the same as what Richardson was alleged to have done.
  21. I'm right there with you. I tried to have faith in Bryce. And honestly if he turned it around next year I would not be surprised. But I'm not banking on it.
