Well while he was playing he didn't like them either. Steve pretty much hated everyone except John Casey and Jake Delhomme as a player. Could be some saltiness still around for Steve.

Thanks for sharing this. I saw a live interview yesterday with a cardiologist who explained how it came about in this particular incident but he didn't go into cases beyond this one. He said its almost impossible to replicate.

From what i have heard a doctor explain of the incident and the specific condition its called the impact to the chest had to be at an exact point in the heart beat cycle in order to induce a heart attach. Its almost impossible to do without it being a random freak accident. The odds are astronomical of it happening again.

It would be nice to find our version of Mike Tomlin or a nicer version of that evil corpse up in Boston.

Rapoport and Pelissero talk head coach openings

I would have to agree with Mike. I also agree with you about marketability. Maybe he meant selling Tepper on them? Either way I don't care. Want to sell me on the group? Win. Develop a good qb, a deep team and win consistently. Do that and I'm all aboard baby. -
Wilks Set This Team Back
Jon Snow replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
Who said we are completely fine with it? It's always either or with you folks. Not a single fan is fine with only winning 5 games a season. Your narrow view of what everyone thinks is your own. Some of us actually want to see them win and the draft can be damned. There are multiple paths to success. Your way is not the only way or the best way. It's obvious from the same teams always drafting at the top. How do the franchises that always draft at the end of each round maintain their dominance when they rarely draft higher than 20? Isn't it mandatory to do that to build a stronger team? It takes much more than that and draft position isn't one of them, especially if your FO and coaching staff suck. -

I am leary. You could give the qb coach as much or more credit if you're being honest. I'm just not the type to fall for the latest hot media slurping coaching candidates. Fans fall for that stuff all the time. Let's see how it shakes out. Call me a skeptic. -

And that's the only reason. Like I pointed out, an OC is only as good as his qb. If you don't have one you are looking for one. -

If Jalen Hurst hadn't been playing out of his mind would you guys still be wanting his OC? Of course not. -

What OC doesn't need a qb to play out of his mind to have a top offense? That doesn't make any sense. -

I tend to agree with him. -

Can Sam Darnold play himself into becoming the 2023 starter?
Jon Snow replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's played well enough since coming back from injury to get signed by someone to compete for a starting role. Being a starter will depend on what he does after that. -
Nah. I like Wilks better when he's not controlling the defensive assignments. If he's not getting the HC job just flush everyone. I wouldn't even insult him by asking him to stay on in a lesser role anyway.

No, he linked Will Krunkel as the source.

Report: Jim Harbaugh wants to return to NFL (Athletic)
Jon Snow replied to amcoolio's topic in Carolina Panthers
No. He's an offense oriented guy that no team would turn down. The Harbaugh brothers are defensive guys. Both systems are predicated on a great QB. Reid has an eye for one. He's also a threat to have his team in the SB every year, the AFC title at minimum. Harbaugh? Since, his one and only SB title he has been struggling to get back ever since. They are no threat even with Lamar. His brother at Michigan cannot do any better. Either could improve this team to challenge for the nfcs and occasionally the nfc title. They most definitely could break the back to back winning seasons curse. But I seriously doubt either could make us a serious SB threat once we make the playoffs. But that's just me I guess. -
Harbaugh to Carolina Makes Too Much Sense...

Report: Jim Harbaugh wants to return to NFL (Athletic)
Jon Snow replied to amcoolio's topic in Carolina Panthers
No, the Ravens do not want to swap seats with us. That's foolish. You have seen what he can do but he will not get us beyond that. The Ravens are always a playoff threat but no SB threat. But they would never get back into the coaching search as long as Harbaugh is there even though he is not the best but he far from the worst. His brother is much the same. They are a run, run, run, punt conservative defensive philosophy coaches. The only reason any of you here are interested is because of his name. Miss me with that.
