Dianna Russian: several teams interested in Bryce Young
Jon Snow replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
If they are not considering that there is a scenario where they may have to call on Plummer before the season is over then I would consider that incompetent. Andy is not going to finish the season as the starter. It's just a matter of time before he's on IR. If Young is forced into action then Plummer is now the backup by default. It appears Canales would rather drag Andy out there no matter what so who's the backup if not Young? I have no clue what the plan would be going forward. It's just a mess. -
His biggest blunder was not hiring someone to manage the football team that knew infinity more about building a football team than he does. He has no business making GM and coaching hires much less picking qb's. That is his biggest blunder.

And it's not ugly already? -
With the exception of Young the narrative fits. It's definitely been a Carolina problem during the Tepper era. Let the bidding begin.

That was well worth watching. I highly recommend everyone watch every minute as it's long but there's no advertising at all. Great interview with Luke from Dale Jr of all people. He does a great podcast.

Depends on the perks and what area you cover. If they cover expenses then I can deal with the salary. I would not need much in the way of compensation. Travel expenses will have to be included or it's not worth it.

I'm retiring so I need something to do with my free time.

I would take a scouting job if Tepper offered it to me.

I know absolutely nothing about the guy. Bring him in to scrub central and see if he's got anything to offer.

You will see Bryce Young play again and like it young man.

I'm calling BS. -
I would not call that help. It's more like throwing a cup of water at a house fire.

I'm not sure about the other bottom feeders but Carolina ain't winning squat the rest of the way. They missed their window. Someone would have to throw the game for the Panthers to win.
-
Until Tepper stops calling the shots. Nothing changes otherwise.
-
Pretty much. They approached every season since Tepper took over as if they were just a couple of players away from being a dynasty. Not to mention Tepper is trying his best to out stupid Jerry Jones with team building.
-
That's because he went bpa in the first. After that it was his gut feelings.
-
As long as Tepper continues to run the football decisions you get nothing.

The Carolina Panthers should go back to Bryce Young
Jon Snow replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you think the team is somehow increasing his trade value by not playing him after what has transpired after the Raiders game you do not know how this works. If the Panthers won't attempt to start him after the way Andy's been playing then that says all any prospective suitors need to know. The Panthers will cut him as soon as it is financially feasible to do so because Young has 0 trade value. End of story. -
They are not on the team yet.

This team is not winning another game this season and you can take that to the bank.

That qb would depend on the contract details. But I could be convinced one way or the other. If this is going to work they need to take it seriously and get their cap and house in order before they start committing to the future roster. If they do not do this now it will never be done. The suck will continue until they face the music.

The only players they should invest in is the ones the team drafts. Chubba should not be extended here. Johnson should not be given a contract here. Only players from the last draft are eligible and that is a few years down the road. It's cap clearing time and it's going to be painful. They invested in the OL already so that's out of the way. Just add draft picks and no more FA'S beyond a 1 year contract to fill a hole. Draft your future roster and give out extensions if they prove to be part of the future. If not a cornerstone player you trade them or let them walk. Rinse and repeat until you have a playoff contending roster.
