  1. Yeah not a fan of trading down in rounds 2 and 3, now it’s almost troll level how many times we’ve traded down. hedging your bet that you’ll find a diamond in the rough in rounds where statistically the outcome of that happening is slim, if we have the same grade for all these guys than I except those guys who went before us not to out shine our 7 6th round picks we’ll be fielding. This is dangerous
  2. Best believe I’m going to be paying attention to every prospect taken with picks we openly traded out of, I understand the optimism but this is damn near madden going on for us in the draft
  3. Like the pick but its going to be forever compared to guys of need that went before him
  4. Yeah this forum needs to quit using tannerhill as some gold standard or norm, his injuries in Miami derailed his career there not his play
  5. This logic seems the escape the average fan, we are essentially trading for more chances to pick, but in rounds where fewer and fewer gems are found, during a time where a pandemic limited the ability to properly scout. we are taking on bigger risks than I believe is needed, this whole offseason has been a bunch of what if moves
  6. Yeah I need this same energy when we look back on all these trade backs, and the ballers that went in the second round, since we opted to trade completely out of the round. this can either be a really good draft for us or really meh, we passed on a lot of supposed talent at the time.
  7. Yeah I disagree with the trade down, can’t compare other teams success with trade downs with ours. we do that a lot on this board as if emulating the Steelers or pats is something that can be replicated. maybe we get the Norte dame lb still
  8. I’ve got to push back, besides the colts, the other teams are notorious for having those extra round picks not pan out, especially the hawks and pats, hawks hit on one draft and road the coattails, just like bill has had Tom hide a lot of roster deficiencies. That’s one thing I agreed with dg on, as far as trading back.
  9. Eh I’m not so sure in this with the tcu safety still on the board. i hope we don’t emulate what the hawks have been doing for years trading back constantly and missing out on good players because of it
  10. I doubt the tcu safety falls to us, I can see atl taking him, but if he does my god. perfectly fine spamming o line picks for the remainder of the draft also
  11. It’s A for me, dorky based on the player and need, however if fields balls out its not going to matter how good horn is unless it’s franchise changing play
  12. True, but Teddy was coming off that little win streak in NO, at least he looked good on the nfl field before we signed him. granted darnold had gase, I like our staff and I do think gase is bad, but I’m not sold on our staff being overwhelming better to flip darnold into the qb he was projected to be coming out. but I could be wrong, I just hope that have a backup plan that’s more solid because we’ve been doing the exact opposite of what was said in these pressers lately
  13. Yeah, barring something egregious that would put his football career in jeopardy, once his legal issues are over some team is going to bite regardless, we see it year in and out.
  14. Yeah idk why that’s even being discussed, he was clearly not the first option, unless the jets weren’t willing to trade him at the time we were interested in Stafford
  15. As bad as it sounds, even if he loses some claims, depending the severity, I still think tepper would be interested. If we have a backup plan all this is moot, and I’m on board for it
  16. They do, but like Teddy last year, sometimes it doesn’t work out, I don’t think anyone believes the coaching staff didn’t put Teddy in the best position, week in and out, he’s just what he’s been all along a mediocre qb
  17. Yeah hence why I said the same thing with Teddy, we’ve seen this fail once, granted Teddy isn’t the athlete etc darnold is, and doesn’t have the potential darnold does, Real risky business for first time owner and coach.
  18. Yeah but we’d have darnold for cheaper than dw I’d assume, I don’t see darnold getting paid what dw at this rate but anything is possible
  19. That’s true, but we’re are putting our faith in how bad gase is as a hc and how bad the jets are as and organization, more than the potential we’ve seen from darnold
  20. I agree but we are hedging our bets on the jets being that bad of an organization as the reason for darnolds lackluster start to his career. Which again I’m fine with, as long as there’s an backup plan in place, cause we all know this was plan c getting darnold based off the reports from the Stafford trade and Deshaun saga
  21. He was bottom 5 in the nfl last year that’s fact. Idc if he would have been top 3 this year , the production on the field in time he’s play in the nfl is atrocious
  22. They also may still have interest in trading for Deshaun if his legal issues clear up, as a backup plan, so I’ll hold off judgement until I see how everything pans out
  23. I’m not sold on darnold at all, he was one of the worst rated qbs, they are doing the same thing with darnold as they did Teddy, if what they saw from fields wasn’t enough to warrant the pick, I’m cool with that as long as that shows on the field, when he plays, cause if he’s great and darnold flops, I will lose what little trust in the front office
  24. About to see if the wrs made Mac Jones or not, because those pats wrs def ain’t getting college open
