  1. They should’ve added another bye week. More TV revenue for the NFL and more rest for the players. I have a feeling they’re going to use that as a bargaining chip for when owners will want to go to 18 games. I pity the poor fools who are first to go 0-17.
  2. No way we look at him. He hasn’t been injured enough. But seriously, I’d love to get him if we could manage a reasonable deal. He had 10.5 sacks in 2018 but that year seems to be an outlier (only 1.5 both in 2019 and 2020). We need good depth there to help the edge rushers and he’s shown that he can at least produce. Maybe he needs a change of scenery.
  3. Honestly, I’d go for this if we have a specific QB we really want and have faith in. It’s really only 2 first rounders, since we’d still have a first round pick this year. Just swapping them. Plus, it’d skip 2023 which would ease the blow and allow us to draft top talent in between 2022 and 2024. Unfortunately, I think it’ll take more than this. Trading up is going to be hot this year. but then again, I really want Trey Lance. He’s gonna be special. Trading up to 3 is steep but I don’t think ATL will trade with us or that Cinci will trade down from 5. They need OL help like no ones business and will pounce on Sewell. Maybe moving up to 6 with Philly is our best bet to not give up the farm. I have a feeling they’ll go WR, they are so barren at that position and there’s a ton of talent there at 8.
  4. Very true. Just this past season we made Drew Lock look like a franchise quarterback for the first time
  5. Really cheap deal, I like it. And as an aside, his first career 100 yard game came against... the Carolina Panthers! We’re career changers.
  6. It’s true, and it can only mean one thing. 2017 draft reunion. Can’t wait for Watson and Myles Garrett to be traded
  7. Glad he got a good deal, he seems like a good guy to have on a team. I also think Ron’s coaching choices ruined his involvement in the game plan and his own development. I don’t feel like he’ll be very successful there.
  8. I’m a hugger, so sure haha. But thinking Mitch “NVP” Trubisky is a better option than Lance is crazy to me
  9. I think Lance will be there at 8 unless someone trades up for him. I’m not convinced Miami, ATL, Philly, or Detroit are going QB. Lawrence is going #1, another QB will go to the Jets most likely (I’m thinking they go Wilson), but Cinci obviously isn’t picking one and I think Philly will see what Hurts can do this year. Matt Ryan is not the Falcons’ issue and they have big holes on defense. Detroit will stay with Goff this year. Biggest question mark is if somebody is gonna trade up. Those rookie QB contracts are what help teams make playoff runs nowadays (unless you’re the Bucs), and drafting one to sit behind Ryan or Goff just doesn’t make sense to me. It worked with Mahomes but he’s a special case with an elite offensive HC. Give me Lance at 8, please.
  10. The injury report came out of it looking pretty good
  11. Brandon Brooks on the Eagles tore his Achilles in the wild card round and was starting again week 1. Not saying Fisher will, but it’s possible. But yeah, he may never be the same. It’s a tough injury.
  12. I would rather pick an elite talent at #8 and roll with Teddy than waste a top ten pick on Mac Jones
  13. He does that too, but Albert Breer reported he heard “physical limitations” as the reason from someone inside. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2021/02/24/panthers-teddy-bridgewater-physical-limitations-report/ Either way, the two issues compound each other into the fever dream of last year. We desperately need an upgrade.
  14. I would be floored if we re-signed Samuel. I’d love to keep him, but WR depth with Moore and Anderson just isn’t that important compared to what he’ll probably demand against the cap. We need a TE, LT, QB, and depth at numerous other spots.
  15. The Jones love has gotten insane. There’s so much desperation for a QB on here that people think this is a good pick? We want to dump Teddy due to physical limitations and people are saying we’ll draft Mac fuging Jones at 8? Doesn’t make any sense. I don’t think the coaches want Jones. They’re going big or going home, at least I hope so. Mac Jones may end up being okay but he’s like a Chad Pennington type to me. I want a playmaker.
  16. Damn, good for Dak. That’s a lot of money. This is these guys’ livelihoods so I’ll never hate on a player trying to make the most of it. He started the year on fire before his injury, it’ll be interesting to see if he starts where he left off.
  17. He was a great special teams gunner, he was also a great... uhm.. uh..... hmmm......
  18. Dude gave us everything he had and left it all on the field. Nothing but love for TD. Watching him tackle was a blast, he hit like a sack of bricks.
  19. I’d much rather have him over Thomas. He’s slow as molasses but his catch radius is still great. He’d be a big boost to one of our worst positions.
  20. We definitely need more depth on D. We went all defense in the draft last year so we have a lot of young talent. Chinn, Burns, Brown. Corn Elder even looked good at times this year and he was mostly putrid under Rivera. This staff has given me faith that they can coach up young guys. I think with another good draft including new TE, more depth, and of course another QB (whether Watson or a draft pick) we’re a lot closer to making a run than most think
  21. If we can’t get Watson, give me Lance at 8. I think the Eagles roll with Hurts this season and he’s available, unless someone trades up. He’s going to be the best QB behind Lawrence with the coaching staff we have now.
  22. No idea, but since he’s saying something I like, I’m going to consider him extremely trustworthy
  23. Seems like a smart guy who really loves the game. Doug Martin didn’t like being called “Muscle Hamster,” but once it sticks, it sticks.
