  1. I agree with you, but unless we luck into a Mahomes, Allen, Burrow level talent, which is very very hard to do, we might as well follow the blueprint of the teams that have won SB's without those elite QB's or at least build a team that is competing every year in the playoffs than have nothing at all. The huddle thinks that grabbing that elite QB is easy and is frustrated that we haven't done it yet. Its not. Again there are 3-5 elite QB's in the world at any given time and 32 NFL teams.
  2. 3-5 teams have elite QB's. If you keep chasing the elite QB, you are gonna be bad for 30+ years. There just isn't that much QB talent in the world unless the NFL changes the rules to make the position easier.
  3. i don’t give a poo about Purdy, but you guys are acting like it’s easy to improve the quarterback. Really, what are they supposed to do? There’s like 8 good quarterbacks in the world and only a few can win the Super Bowl
  4. There are only 3, maybe 4 QBs who can win the Super Bowl. How do you suggest the 49ers should improve Brock Purdy. Trade for Joe Burrow or Josh Allen? Like be real here
  5. Micic is the point guard we've needed off the bench for 20 years. Feels like we could never fill that role properly except for the one Jeremy Lin year Finally adults who are unselfish and look at the difference it made. Terry, PJ, and Gordon weren't leaders. And we got two (nearly) unprotected picks out of it too)
  6. Go with a deep cut that no one else would have. Legedu Naanee or Kris Mangum
  7. We got 2 future almost unprotected firsts and Micic and Mann for players that dont' move a needle in Rozier, Hayward and PJ Only bad part was taking back Grant Williams contract, but at least he can play in the rotation and is still young. Maybe with an expanded role he goes back to his Celtics form
  8. It's a given they will completely clean house in the offseason. Rumors are swirling that Mitch will step down after the trade deadline. Honestly if Miller didn't look this good, we'd be in a world of hurt. Now there is hope and I think Budenholzer would come here with the talent we have
  9. This isn't the NBA. Players don't only want to go to the top franchises. They want guaranteed money first and foremost. Free agents almost never look for fit or to win a ring. No matter how down you are about Tepper, Young and the Panthers (and yes, we all know, you do nothing but post how much you hate this franchise, with no other insight), the players don't think that way.
  10. That's why I said if that's all they wanted to do was try to win the NFC South They can Mitch Trubisky him and probably do it I think Bryce will be fine. If not, we'll have a top 5 pick and just try again
  11. Hopefully Penix or Nix are there at 33. Not for us, but a team like the Giants would trade up for them and give us their two 2nd round picks for it. I maintain that we take a lineman, offensive or defensive, in the 2nd round. Preferably a center, Bozeman really fell off.
  12. If all they wanted to do was win the NFCS, its pretty simple Power running offense Bryce only throws 20-25 passes a game, he's decent at 3rd down throws to move the chains Draft best available offensive or defensive lineman at 33, or if a middle linebacker falls take him instead Play stout defense and run the ball Bryce would have taken the 2022 Panthers to playoffs IMO under the McAdoo scheme Problem is this style of play rarely wins a playoff game
  13. Morris will redeem himself, but Quinn is a WTF hire for Peters and the owners there in Washington. Like the total opposite of what they needed. You might as well have hired Belichick at that point.
  14. Move Canales to 3. Mayo is going to do exactly nothing to change NE's trajectory, especially with the staff he hired... they will be back to the 80's patriots of old. Callahan didn't call plays. Canales has more upside than those two.
  15. I laughed when David Newton smirked after asking "Why did you come here after they fired 3 coaches"
  16. I think they are waiting for Seattle and Washington to make their decision, and I think he is back here if they don't pick him. Denver last year wanted someone different. I imagine Canales, being all offense, would love to have Evero back
  17. Don't we get compensatory picks if someone hires Evero from our staff because he's black? I think so. In that case, keep Evero please
  18. Bucs fans are happy he’s gone. Doesn’t inspire confidence whatsoever. Totally underwhelming GM/coach combo. Tepper is going to have to get super lucky
  19. no it’s not. trade “grades” 5 years in the future show the actual players traded for eachother. Bears have a history of blowing picks. again the trade will be more remembered for passing on stroud. stop thinking so irrationally because of emotion and wake up
  20. the Bears are gonna blow all the picks (already blown two) so it’s not gonna look as bad. it will be remembered more for passing on Stroud
  21. Tom Brady misses wide open receivers. Stroud missed a bunch against the Panthers. Every QB ever in history has. There’s a world where Bryce improves his footwork and looks really good in 1-2 seasons. We can’t change the past. We aren’t having Stroud here. No one disagrees that we should have taken Stroud. But Bryce wasn’t Zach Wilson or Darnold bad. his problems are very fivable. it’s up to him to fix
  22. Young could have been a lot worse. Young can also improve, especially since his major problem right now is footwork and getting the ball out earlier, two things that have been improved by other QBs. Every single QB in NFL history has missed open receivers. I don’t get these “my opinion is absolute and he will never be any good” takes.
  23. more than one thing can be true some huddlers are colin cowherd with their narrow minded takes stroud is obviously better. but he also would not have made the playoffs or had that season here. carolina had organizational rot. Houston hired a great coaching staff and had good receivers.
  24. Teams with open GM slot are more attractive than just an open HC slot Again, you are fooling yourself if you don't believe that Ben Johnson and his agent aren't picking the GM for the Panthers. It will be a package deal
  25. Panthers are looking for a combo. Not the same guy, but a HC and GM that have chemistry already. Basically they are gonna let Ben Johnson pick whoever he wants as GM. As he should.
