Cowboys only -10.5? Free money for those inclined.
amcoolio replied to ClawOn's topic in Carolina Panthers
The sharps are pounding the Panthers. Probable reasons: Cowboys play in 4 days on Thanksgiving in a game they need to win to keep pace in the NFC playoff race The Cowboys are worse on the road Dak is inconsistent, Panthers have a good pass D according to the numbers, and haven't been able to run the ball well lately Teams that blew out their opponent the previous week are having a hard time covering the spread the next week "Kitchen Sink" game for the Panthers, they will likely go all out to win and save their jobs -
You mean when you hire a coach that relates really well to young black men and can lead them as well as he led on the field, the players execute and play better? Who would have thought! Ryans is a slam dunk hire for them and proof you don't need a offensive head coach, just a leader of men and a good game manager.

Bills fire OC Ken Dorsey, promote former Panthers OC Joe Brady

Beane has quietly been a pretty bad drafter in Buffalo. That is why they are in the mess they are in -
Albert Breer: both Reich and Fitterer back in ‘24
amcoolio replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fitterrer has been absolutely disastrous in the draft, one of the worst track records in NFL history, there's no way you can let him make the picks in 2024- 59 replies

Even the Bills have struggled with drafting, that's a reason why they are mediocre We need someone from the Baltimore/Pittsburgh/Philly tree, they are almost always consistently good drafting and talent evaluators Seattle too, but too much PTSD with failed Fitterer

I hate to say it, but the odds of Mingo panning out are extremely low. He's given every opportunity, just looks really slow out there and still can't run routes, the odds of a player like that improving to be a star are zilch. Just another huge whiff by Fitterer and he needs to be fired yesterday so a new GM can focus on the draft
-
Dude we had most of our defense out lol. We were playing some CB named Booty that I never heard of
-
He and Fitt need to go for thinking that this is the best way to utilize Bryce Young We had a power running game offensive line and a good power running back, and they decided nope lets install the Luck Colts offense and sign Miles Sanders instead
-
Ironically, last year's offense is what Bryce needed. A strong power running game and Bryce making plays when needed Instead we got......this? And spent a ton of money on finesse running back?
-
Firing Frank does nothing, the offensive playbook and schemes are fuged Brown can't install a completely new offense in 10 days
-
If Mingo didn't slow down that was the game right there

FUGGING RUN MINGO

I think I've watched a ton of football of my life....this offensive system is the worst I've ever seen. I've seen high school offenses more creative and efficient

Braindead coaching staff, why call that on 3rd and 1

Frank Reich looks like he knows he's dead man walking

If you look at the film, Bryce is encouraging. Especially in the 10-20 yard range, he nails all his passes. Once teams respect the deep passes, he will be able to scramble and rack up yards on the ground. The receivers are just never open and you can tell Bryce is trying hard not to throw picks. I really think in a new offensive system with decent receivers, Bryce would flourish. The playcalling is really bad, the protections are bad, and the receivers can't separate. If you put this Bryce on the Dolphins, Bryce looks like an incredible rookie IMO. Also, Bryce has taken some huge hits and gets right back up. I'm not concerned with injury, as this is as a bad as it will get for him in his career. That's as positive as I can be about the team haha. Evero is good. Should be the head coach.

That's a little dramatic, coming from someone that has the same distaste of Tepper. I mean James Dolan, Donald Sterling, the Redskins former owner who's name escapes me and Michael Jordan are a thing
-
Evidence of Tepper meddling in football operations?
amcoolio replied to TeppersEgos's topic in Carolina Panthers
If I owned the team I would meddle in everything EXCEPT actual football operations. I don't know how a man that isn't from football can buy something and then suggest who the team takes in an NFL draft, that's insanity to me. Then again I'm not a billionaire. To answer your question, Adam Schefter said before the draft that the football operations wanted CJ Stroud, and the owner wanted Young -
This is exactly it. Bryce is overthinking, every damn play. It doesn't help that they are huddling and taking most of the play clock every play either. When Bryce was great at Alabama, he was playing fast, moving outside of the pocket, improvising, a lot like Mahomes. He hasn't moved outside of the pocket much at all here. I don't know if that is the offensive line, playcalling, or both, but run Bryce on some bootlegs for heavens sake. They are forcing him to be Drew Brees or Phillip Rivers right off the bat.
-
There is something very wrong if the Vikings can bring in a QB that hasn't taken a snap, hasn't thrown to any of the receivers even in practice and doesn't even know their names and they can move the ball comfortably, score, and win, yet we have such a hard time. Let Bryce play schoolyard ball. Let him play uptempo and stop worrying so much about the right call and everything. Let him go out and play football, just once. It cannot possibly be as worse as what we are doing out there already
-
Tepper needs to give a shitload of money to someone in the Pittsburgh or Baltimore building, and let them do everything. Those teams are consistently solid at drafting and that's what we need here. 90% of being a good GM is drafting well and getting a good coach that meshes well with your draft strategy. Only 10% is free agency, salary cap and trades.

We won decently enough with low talent last year with Wilks. As much as Tepper is to blame for this trainwreck, Reich is equally responsible. He just isn't a good coach. Remember Mr. Scot when I said that if we hired Reich, we'd be looking for a new coach in 2 years and that Reich has already been fired 3 times for being a part of terrible, inefficient offenses, and you chided me for it and said I don't know anything? Well, I really hate to take the W becuase I was so looking forward to a good season, but I am correct. Reich is playing football in the mid 2000's and has been one of the worst coaches this year. His offense and schemes do not fit the players we have, especially the offensive line and receivers. He's really bad and if the Panthers don't cut their losses after this season and go into a different direction, we are going 3-14 again next year and will be looking at a new QB at the top of the draft yet again.
