  1. The team probably thinks Bryce is worth the gamble, and I agree. Maybe Bryce and his team have convinced the Panthers that they have been working on his body and ability to avoid hits. Again I don't care about his size, just about him avoiding hits. If healthy he is definitely better than Tua, and healthy Tua was a beast this year. A part of me still thinks this is a giant game by the Panthers to extort the Texans into giving pick 33 or the Cleveland first next year. I still think the Panthers are in good shape with either QB, but Stroud would not fair well with the Texans because they have no offensive development experience, so they'd rather pass on QB if they can't get Young.
  2. damn westgate in las vegas was Bryce +350 just two weeks ago when I was there, I should have jumped on that
  3. Just load him up on some HGH and accept the 8 game suspension (Dalton time) and then you are ready to roll
  4. I still think this is a giant smokescreen and we are trying to make the Texans panic into give us 32 and 2 for 1, and that we like both Stroud and Young equally
  5. Shows he’s prepared and dedicated. Not sure why you wouldn’t want that in an QB.
  6. Every other league is fine. NBA is a 2.5 weeks after the finals. NHL 1 week. MLB during the season. NFL isn't some special league that needs so much time to evaluate, the scouts are working all year long.
  7. There's too much time between the end of the CFP, the superbowl, free agency and the draft. The draft should have been this weekend. No excuse to still be 20 days away.
  8. Yes, its my opinion. If you constantly take big hits and get driven to the ground by a defensive player, it naturally means less durability. Andrew Luck, same thing. Kyler Murray, same thing. Really the only QB that Young plays like that has been very durable is Russell Wilson. So there is precedence that Young can overcome the big hits and being pile driven into the ground. I'm aware that he hasn't had durability issues so far. I'm also not making this into a Stroud vs. Young debate, as I like both QB's and would be thrilled with either one.
  9. Young is less durable because he holds on the ball for so long in order to make the big play, whereas Stroud emulates Brees and tries to get the ball out very quickly while still in the pocket Young is the better QB all things considered, but I am concerned about injuries to that throwing shoulder. He also puts a lot of oomph into throwing with his shoulder, whereas Stroud the ball just kind of glides out of his hands.
  10. I think they are still 1A and 1B, and we can't go wrong with either.....they are really trying to get the #32 pick in the draft from the Texans, and I think both teams should do it....Stroud needs to be in a much better infrastructure than Young to succeed and I don't think Stroud would with the Texans I also think the Panthers are eying Jaxon Smith-Njigba and would their perfect draft would be to make that trade with Houston, select Stroud at 2, then trade 32 and 39 to get into the teens to draft Jaxon
  11. Don't get me wrong, I like Young and would be happy if we went with him. We need to pick the best QB, not the best football mind. I'm sure the coaching staff and McNown would love to have Bryce around, but if he can't hold up or make all the throws, then they need to go with Stroud. I'm sure Tony Romo was lovely to be around as a football genius, but he didn't hold up or become a superstar QB. I'm not worried about Young's height at all, but Young loves to hold the ball for super long amount of time and that will get him some big hits early in his career. Stroud is like Brees or Brady, that bitch better be out before the DE comes around
  12. All you have to do is look at the Vegas odds. Stroud is a heavy favorite (I’m in Westgate Sports Book in Vegas right now.). Vegas isn’t wrong. As much as I would be happy with Bryce it’s fairly obvious Stroud will be the pick. Stroud models his game after Brees and Brady and likes getting the ball out fast. That would be a huge, welcome change in the Carolinas and im all for it. Have we ever had a QB like that? I guess Mayfield but he sucked at it. Cam Darnold and Jake all loved holding the ball as long as possible.
  13. Like I said before there’s a real chance Richardson is on his 2nd or 3rd team before he puts it together, like Geno Smith. That’s not a player you draft #1 overall. I would say Richardson is a bit more raw than Fields coming out. I don’t want another run first, first read pass guy. I’m ready for great passing. That is what wins playoff games. Richardson is nowhere near the level of Cam Newton coming out of Auburn. Cam was a true dual threat until he got injured in 16/17.
  14. I think the staff is banking on TMJ breaking out and being the #1, big, star receiver, with Chark in the Ginn role and Thielen in the slot
  15. Not worried about batted passes or height at all, but Young tends to hold on to the ball for a long time to make a bigger play, and it had a tendency to get him crushed a few times at Alabama. Whereas Stroud rarely takes hits becuase he wants the ball out fast
  16. Stroud is elite at reading defenses unlike the OSU quarterbacks before him. He needs to work on accuracy when rolling out of the pocket, but other than that, he has no flaws. I like both Stroud and Young, and we would be very happy with Stroud if he's the pick.
  17. It screams 1990's. Not that that is bad or anything, I love that wordmark. But I doubt they go back to it. Definitely part of the Jurassic Park culture phase that also encapsulated the Toronto Raptors
  18. I'd keep either white or silver, and get rid of the other completely.
  19. Logo is great, but the helmet and uniforms need updating. Black and blue is an iconic logo scheme, no one else in the NFL has it yet we squander it with too much white and silver for no reason
  20. I merely pointed out that size/height has no factor with quarterback injuries, not anything about Drew Brees' super bowl wins or Cam's accuracy
  21. We drafted one of the biggest quarterbacks ever and he was out of the league after 7 years because of a litany of injuries Meanwhile Drew Brees played 20 seasons
  22. I do like that he's had a lot of hardships growing up so it doesn't seem he'd be fazed by adversity Honestly I think we will end up loving both Young and Stroud Edit: Hate that he had the hardships, but like how well he's adapted
  23. Damn CJ is accurate on those deep balls even with a split second to look and see where the receiver is
  24. I would say Stroud has an elite arm. Again, he plays a lot like Dak Prescott. In the next month he needs to prove he can move around outside the pocket and still connect with dead-on accuracy to be the pick... I do believe the Panthers are seriously considering Young as the best prospect because of his elite out of the pocket ability, which is one of the things that translates into superstardom in the NFL. That said, Stroud is still a good #1 pick because of his elite ball placement and throw velocity. I think we can win with either.
  25. In the Hurts draft I thought he was underrated and failed to see why everyone considered him a 2nd round QB at the max, the dude was a born winner and was going to make it work. Same with Hooker. Teams at the end of the 1st that need a future QB would be very dumb to pass on him. He should not make it past Tampa at 19
