  1. more than one thing can be true some huddlers are colin cowherd with their narrow minded takes stroud is obviously better. but he also would not have made the playoffs or had that season here. carolina had organizational rot. Houston hired a great coaching staff and had good receivers.
  2. Teams with open GM slot are more attractive than just an open HC slot Again, you are fooling yourself if you don't believe that Ben Johnson and his agent aren't picking the GM for the Panthers. It will be a package deal
  3. Panthers are looking for a combo. Not the same guy, but a HC and GM that have chemistry already. Basically they are gonna let Ben Johnson pick whoever he wants as GM. As he should.
  4. I'd rank the destinations as: Washington Patriots Carolina Raiders Atlanta Chargers If Belichick is released, I think its a near lock he goes to Washington. Carolina being a bad destination is overblown. Tepper has shown he'll spend infinite money, they have an open GM slot which means the coach can pick the GM, and the team has a strong young defense.
  5. I don't think GM search matters... they are gonna ask Ben Johnson, Belichick or Harbaugh what GM they want because the coaches have the leverage here and will bring in a GM that would work well/are friends with that coach. Panthers are probably doing their due diligence and getting feedback on the roster and where to go from here
  6. i’d say it’s one of the more attractive, only thing that’s not attractive is not having the first round pick. GM and Coach both open means it’s better than any other job with just a coach immediately Tepper has infinite funds. Chargers are cheap and have no culture or fanbase Tepper will learn. He’s embarrassed. He’ll step back. At least he wants to win.
  7. In that scenario yes, but it would be 3 years probably so I'd stick with what we have. He has to be embarrassed and want to step back at this point
  8. Every time I want to give up on Bryce, the offensive line or WR does something so bad, and it's hard to hate on him Bryce has had a rough rookie season for sure, but man his teammates haven't helped at all.
  9. Falcons have 10 in the box and we can't solve it
  10. Ben Johnson will pick here if he gets to pick the GM Any coach Tepper hires will get to pick the GM, because Tepper knows he has no leverage. That's why I think Harbaugh or Belichick are the best bets, because they will have full control and be able to pick their GM helper (while actually GM'ing the team)
  11. As soon as Carolina is even just 3-2 after week 5, may not be next year but in the coming years, everyone will be back. This fanbase is that fickle
  12. If he was offered full control of a NFL franchise, he would take that over college, no question
  13. I'm talking about this year. He's way better than Bryce, i'm not saying he isn't and I'd trade for him in a heart beat. Trevor has struggled to execute late, I don't see why that's offensive to you. I'm just saying the Jags system with Peterson is light years better than Brown/Reich's horrid system, even if the QB numbers aren't high this year
  14. The system is really bad. Bryce has been bad, but the system here is just atrocious. Bengals and Jags have established, efficient offensive systems (even though Lawrence hasn't been executing) I'll give Bryce next year because I still think he can play like Brees if he's in the right system with the right players and fixes his footwork and dropback. I don't get the sense that Bryce is shellshocked like Darnold or Zach Wilson. If anything he isn't afraid to take the hit to make the play. Darnold was 100% afraid to take hits
  15. if you read the story, almost all NFL teams are doing this to streamline practice schedules and not waste time traveling and moving in and out of places. i don’t know why many people are complaining. there’s a lot of things to hate about Tepper but this isn’t it
  16. Harbaugh would bring along a GM that shares his vision and does all the heavy lifting Harbaugh is THE only scenario that would save this sinking ship. He brings a culture that this team sorely needs.
  17. we need interior lineman. center too. bozeman is below average nowadays.
  18. Listen I've been down on Bryce but you absolutely cannot say those throws were weak, that is just hating on the guy with personal bias at this point
  19. I'd rather give Harbaugh full GM/Coach control than do this again
  20. I wouldn't. Bills have sucked at drafting, that is why they are bad with Josh Allen still playing well. A player evaluator from the Ravens, Eagles, 49ers or Steelers is needed.
  21. None of that matters, only the GM/coach relationship If you want Ben Johnson you get his choice for GM as well
  22. Wilks had a chance to be the coach, and his defense utterly failed in embarrassing fashion in a must win game for the division crown. He made no adjustments after halftime either. I second Mayo. I have long believed that the head coach needs to be a leader of men, a great decision maker and a great personal motivator, not an "offense or defense guy". Hell Luke Kuechly would be a great head coach, but he's not ready for that commitment yet
  23. As bad as Tepper has been, you'd much rather have a Tepper as an owner who wants to win and spends money like its nothing than have a Michael Jordan who cheaped out on the basketball infrastructure so much that good coaches straight up pass on the organization despite young talent. Oh, and Michael wouldn't pay more than one coach at a time either. Trust me, as a long suffering Bobcats/Hornets fan... this is way better. Tepper had a lot of learning and humility to eat and he will get better. He knows its super embarrassing.
  24. More positives about Bryce...I've been to many games this season (don't know why really) Dude takes some vicious hits and gets right back up. Injuries haven't been a factor. Bryce's body is built like elastic and wirey where he can take hits and it doesn't phase him. That bodes well for his future. Teammates like him. They are always patting his helmet and Bryce greets everyone at halftime and end of game. This was not the case for last year's QB's. I'm interested to see what Tabor, Caldwell and Brown do with Bryce the rest of the season. I think there's a good chance he starts running more and there's more misdirections and options and Bryce comes out and plays very well and shuts people up on the huddle. As much a chance as him not improving.
